Roberto, once again, gets his timing spot on with this information release. Personally, I had no doubts about the lack of signings/rumoured signings. But would love to add bony, huddlestone and or diame to the squad, and one other fwd. With the current crop of youngsters we have I think it would be a good squad.

Tom huddlestone?. You having a giraffe

If we signed Peter Crouch then we'd be having a giraffe - literally ;-)

I happen to think huddlestone is a great player. technically very good and performs a similar role to Barry. Great passer of the ball and breaks up play. he's just in a poor side. Martinez would make a great player out of him. and he wouldn't cost a fortune. a good squad acquisition

I should add. better passing and assists than McCarthy had for everton last season.a simple search on internet will show you. as I said in a much less capable team. he did a lot for hull last season

huddlestone is a good passer and has a good shot with either foot but he is incredibly slow, lazy and tries too many spectacular volleys that never come off, he can't defend and isn't good enough bob, give me mccarthy anyday

Barking mad with you lot. remember the gibbo and the McCarthy doubters. I guess I've won no chums on here. but it's does matter I never winalot. I won't be led astray I'll keep my opinions coming.

Swan, McCarthy for me to. I just thought with the right manager he'd be good cover for gibbo and Ozzie should we not keep Barry. Personally I'd rather mo diame was our top choice to takeover from Barry.cheers anyway

I like Huddleston too Bob, they're all barking mad mate leading you up the garden path and a bit woof with their treatment of you pal ;). I would seriously take Huddleston though he score goals and breaks up play really well so that is a yes from me.

Cheers paddock. When you consider we need to increase squad size I think he would be a decent and thrifty addition. Additionally someone mentioned on here that he was slow and couldn't turn. we'll same applies to Barry, but look at how good he has been for us (granted Barry is a better player) but I saw it as an option.
