Sorry but Arsenal are not and will not be title contenders, they are rivals for a top 4 place with ourselves and that is what makes tossing away a 2 goal lead hard to take

I have posted my concerns a couple of times over, the past months or so, that we have not really strengthened the squad over the summer. Yes we have secured Lukaku and Barry and we have swapped Atsu for Deulofeu, but the only real addition is Bescic. This is way below what we were expecting. Yesterday showed up our flaws and we desperately need reinforcements who will improve certain areas of the team, and not just make up squad numbers. RM clearly does not rate Duffy - he's hardly had any playing time time pre-season - so if that 's the case, let's move him out and bring someone else in. We need to improve at the back and Alcaraz is not the answer. Stones should now come in at the expense of either Jagielka or Distin. I think we all agree that the pre-season programme was a shambles and we are already paying the price for it. It's also irritating that we are starting the season with so many injured or unfit players - Kone, Oviedo, Barkley, Gibson and now Pienaar and possibly Lukaku. Are we just unlucky or do you make your own luck?

Agree with all. No need to panic but its frustrating that we are undercut for the start of the season. These dropped points could be significant come may. While the transfer and contract work done has been great its the business we haven't done that worries me. We are relying on development of players to be a better team than last year. I am just hoping that we can do something before the window closes.
