Fantastic to see the site excited at long last. I haven't seen so many formations suggested and put forward by everyone.

If we can sort out CD, ideally with 2 new coming in we will have a strong defensive unit, a fluid, constantly changing in shape midfield and a real cutting edge in attack.

It certainly beats let's get everyone behind the ball and hope for the one chance per game

Keep it coming lads

It's amazing isn't it bw2412 we've not had the greatest of pre seasons and we are still looking for that illusive CB but the excitement is building ready for Saturday. Last nights announcement about Bernard got everyone talking even I went on YouTube watching him and can't wait to see him in the blue shirt. That plan that MB and MS have is slowly starting to build it will still take time but hey what a ride it will be roll on 3pm Saturday.

You seen that Usmanov has also sold his shares in arsenal today as well? 🤔.

{Ed025's Note - it means nothing to us at this time jj mate..

bw2412. Never noticed people complaining during the days of us winning 1-0 and not conceding, nobody seemed worried during our dogs of war days. Us Evertonians are a very fickle bunch.

{Ed025's Note - we are famed for it DFS..

I was there through all those times we were winning 1-0 (although there was plenty of drawing and losing through those times too) . I can assure you there was plenty of complaining and worrying 😂.

{Ed025's Note - i remember it well mate..

You are right to a certain degree DFS but imagine the site today with Big Sam still in charge. Do you honestly think there would be the optimism (albeit totally unfounded yet) around the way the team is taking shape.

Give us our moment of hope. We might even win some games 2-0 with this team and 2 new CD's.

I was there as well very low scoring games grounding out results think the biggest cheer at Goodison was if we scored a second. Got to say still miss most of those players Joe Parkinson was one very underrated signed from Bournemouth I think not a big signing but put a shift in every game.

It's all a matter of perspective. The dogs of war days and to an extent the Moyes Era came off the back of some of the worst years in recent memory. So scraping the 1-0s more often than losing was a success. Whatever anyone thinks of Martinez and Koeman both gave us 1 season each where we truly dreamed of success and that is the expectation Silva has to deal with now, and why we wouldn't accept Big Sam no matter what the results were.

They may not have been the most gifted footballers but you couldn't fault them for not putting a shift in.
