See Alan Myers is tweeting that we are interested in signing a striker, but won't confirm who. After being asked questions he said he would be very happy and could cost £30m.

Could be Benteke. Just been reading an article linking him to us although no source was mentioned. I'd be happy with him as 1 of 4 top strikers. Never settled at the reds or given a proper chance and feel he would have a point to prove.

while we have great expectations it is important that we have a target man i fear sir_loin is right it is benteke we are after not sure how i feel about it but what the hell at this point just want the games to start any player, cloud over him or not, is going to make us stronger. coyb.

I know I've asked before but are we still maintaining an interest in Kasper Dolberg from Ajax as he looks the dogs and seems to be one of those players the ball sticks too really skilful and an eye for a pass and scores screamers tap ins and headers he gets my vote.

as far as i understand ajax not prepared to sell this year one for the future would be gutted if dohlberg ended up elsewhere and we didn't have a serious go for him.

Bentake got a raw deal over the park, well known they don't play with out and out wingers firing crosses in, if Everton landed Siggerson, Benteke would have a field Day, prefer other targets but Benteke not as bad as some might think.

{Ed002's Note - This would likely be replacing Moussa Dembele as a target. Benteke is a good player but his form has run hot and cold on occasion. DEmbele is much younger but untried at this level.}

Benteke scored 15 goals last season in a relatively poor Palace side. Hypothetically, if he can do the same for us, and we can get at least 5 goals apeice from Rooney and Sandro, then there's Lukaku's goals replaced. In my opinion Benteke could get 20 and Sandro and Rooney 10 apeice at a push so all in all would be a good signing.

He is also a far bigger threat in the air than Lukaku was so adds an extra dimension to our game. I get the feeling that Koeman wants several different attacking options, so that we can keep the opposition guessing and try something different that can change a game that isn't going our way.
