Don't shoot the messenger boys. I've just received a text that I dearly hope is incorrect. Lampard is to be replaced after the City game by Martinez and Ferguson. Person the message is off is a blue and says its genuine information.

Much better than sticking with Frank.

Wouldn't mind me.

Not for me mate.

29 Dec 2022 21:21:01
Not for me either tbh GB. Martinez and an attacking coach. We will just start leaking goals and we don't have the attacking ability to out score teams.

29 Dec 2022 21:52:48
No, I’m definitely shooting the messenger.

6.) 29 Dec 2022
29 Dec 2022 21:54:25
Personally, I’d be ok with that.

29 Dec 2022 21:57:23
I so hope this is not true.

{Ed014's Note - I’m not even an Everton fan but for your sake I really hope it’s not true. He’s absolute shite!

Who makes this up. Never happen.

9.) 29 Dec 2022
29 Dec 2022 22:21:04
**** no! Martinez couldn’t get Belgium to play with arguably some of the most talented players in virtually every position, he ruined Belgium, he ruined Moises team, he’s rubbish no no no no!
Frank and Kevin have only had one window keep the faith let’s get a striker or two in and see how we go from there we can’t keep changing manager . Stability please .
I’m usually quite mild on here and try and have a laugh but this is one point I quite serious on NO to Martinez.

10.) 29 Dec 2022
29 Dec 2022 23:05:34
He ruined Moyes team …… erm ?.

11.) 29 Dec 2022
29 Dec 2022 23:44:00
Got to be honest, I like him as a man and his passion for the game. But not as a manager.

12.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 00:16:36
Sounds like a BK wish to me. Probably an off the cuff comment jumped on by someone ear wiggging.

13.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 09:32:37
It’s ironic that over the past 5 years all I have had to look forward to is a replacement manager coming in at Everton along with the two transfer windows after their honeymoon period everything is an anticlimax, then we start all over again.

14.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 10:11:49
Sad when you put it like that Uran. But your right mate.

15.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 10:21:18
Totally mixed feelings if this is true
With the window opening 1st Jan it makes sense to pull the trigger on Frank if they deem it necessary so that any signings can be the new managers decisions
I don't think Frank has had a fair crack of the whip but with our owner and board no one has had a fair crack of the whip and any new manger will be exactly the same
Having said that I can't say that Frank has been outstanding during his time with us and, if not now, I could see him going after City, Brighton, Utd if the results went against us which could easily happen

Martinez though doesn't have me excited
Ferguson coming back without proving himself is a backward step by both EFC and Duncs

If true it's knee jerk time again by a board with zero success rate since Moshiri arrived.

16.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 10:41:43
Unfortunately it really doesn't matter what we think, Moshiri and Kenwright will continue to do what they want and continue to make a mess of it. We will flounder from one stupid decision to another until the pair of them go.

17.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 10:54:18
I very much doubt you will get many people disagreeing with you Blue Mike.

18.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 12:53:04
Yes it's sad we have come to this bw. I was at Wembley in 1995 and thought the we had turned a corner. Since then my kids have aged to about my age in 1995 and my six grandkids have been born and now either working or at University. That gives you a good idea of the wasted years and the frustration of older supporters who have experience trophy winning years and see the utter incompetence of the owner and board.

19.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 13:02:33
I’d be for Frank staying if the results were a little better, but one win in 9 games is not acceptable regardless of the circumstances. If him and his team can’t organise or motivate the players effectively then a change is needed.

20.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 13:19:59
Not for me, changing the managers never helps, it's about building foundations, not laying them and a new manager comes digs them up because his plans are different. This is partly where we are at the moment, no stability, we're always trying to rush something that takes time! I remember Klopp stating when he joined Liverpool, he needs 5 Yr plan to try win the league, and they weren't even a bad team back then! Stick with Frank at least until next summer.

21.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 14:49:07
If that's even a remotely possible outcome where finished as a club.

22.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 15:00:35
Changing the manager never helps?
Would you still have Benitez in charge then?

23.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 16:07:25
Big Reg. . . Before we put the blindfold on, have you any last requests? ?

I think personally we keep FL at the moment as the other options are thin on the ground IMO.

That ''moment'' though is rapidly ticking away, losing to Wolves at home has severely damaged his standing.

24.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 16:26:14
Jb Benitez should never have been appointed, my point is we're constantly changing management and never giving the new one anytime to build foundations! We aren't here near the bottom for nothing, it's because every new manager wants to buy his idea, his players, and now we're all but skint because they spend, we get impatient, the board fire them, we hire a new one and he spends on his idea etc etc etc.

25.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 16:39:09
I'm all for giving managers time. as I have bleated on here for years but results haven't been great.

I'd love to think we'd make forward signings this window and results will come but can't see how we can afford it.

I worry that Frank is trying to implement a passing possession game without the players being able to play it.

We should be playing high tempo direct counter football, passing to wingers quickly for them to run at missing full backs.

It's not our choice to make but a few more bad results and the fans will force the board to act.

26.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 18:23:17
If we keep him and go down, do we still stick with him? That’s the only way we could achieve what some are discussing here. Again, I’m all for sticking with someone, but the bare minimum still has to be comfortably staying in the league. Nothing comfortable about our position at the moment.

27.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 22:48:34
There are a lot of ifs.

The board have to stop playing silly beggars and sort themselves out. Martinez with Dunc is hardly an improvement. Franks back room team has more credentials than those two so it wouldn’t make sense. The only thing that makes them different to Lampard is a history with the club. That’s not really anything to go by given what has been said about our situation since ‘95.

If Frank goes, we need someone who can manage successfully at Premiership Level. That doesn’t leave a lot of takers….

28.) 30 Dec 2022
30 Dec 2022 23:37:13
I'd prefer to wait until Moyes gets sacked and get him back rather than Martinez.

Uran, that is painfully true.
