What's so good about Rafa Benitez?

Jose Mourinho left Inter after winning the league. When Rafa took over the following season, they were 13 points off the top.

Napoli were regular title contenders. Rafa took over, and they were fighting for Europa League spots.

Treated unfairly at Real Madrid, but didn't do anything great with the talent at hand.

Relegated Newcastle, although he wasnt given much time, admittedly, but even John Carver managed to keep them up.

Can people not remember the last time we hired a manager who'd relegated a side the previous season, or are we forgetting that happened?

Not saying we'd get him, but go for Mourinho, and work our way down from there. And stop with the Moyes shouts.

Agree totally about Benitez although I'm impressed with how he done at Newcastle. I know they got relegated but it was a massive ask to get them out of it when he took over. Overall I wouldn't rate Benitez as a manager. Only my personal view of course.

Agree Mourinho must least be approached. I'd this question to answered well, why not approach Mourinho?

Don't want him anywhere near our club.
Let him cook in the Championship while this big club plays in the prem.

Agree with Hugo about Benitez I just don't rate him, Start with Mourinho, and work our way down, if we were unable to secure a top manager and it comes down to a Moyes return Hughes etc. I think I would prefer to give Unsy a go under a director of football. If nothing else we would see the kids come through.
