So lamine kone to be offered a new contract by sunderland in September according to moyes, conveniently after the transfer window closed. I was led to believe sunderland had accepted our £18m bid. Can anyone she'd any light on what the hold up is? Every signing seems to be unusual at the moment. I'm guessing the hold up with bolasie is palace probably want a replacement first and that's why they won't sanction the medical yet even though they've apparently accepted the bid but this kone deal seems odd as they signed their cover yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me if he was waiting for Chelsea to come in for him. We'll end up having to go for our 3rd or 4th choice signings on deadline day at this rate.

Telling Kone he'll get a contract on 1st September is classic Moyes. We all know what he's like. Clearly much more to this story than Kone holding Sunderland to ransom for a better deal.

He'll make anyone interested in his players pay well over the odds, and ensure the player leaves with reputation in shreds, labelled a 'moneygrabber' or a traitor by forcing a move.

As much as I appreciated Moyes I have to fully agree with you Stevo.

Remember him telling the press when we jibbed him off over Baines that if he'd have been Everton manager he would have done what was best for the player and not stood in their way. He's just a massive hypocrite.

Will Moyes play him or be haunted by Lescott haha.

It is one of the reasons that Moyes is a great manager, he plays things as a manager should, a bit like Koeman you will find.
