Bodes well that he’s turned up. Plenty of players that want away in the past have not done so and then pushed for a move. I know opinions differ - I’d love to keep him in that no.10 role, sell Siggy, and buy a young upcoming AMC that can share that role with James.

Why so many negative posts about James returning to training by Evertonians? Too many fans saying hel’ll probably have x, y, z excuses to miss it. And turns out he is at training, same thing happened with his private jet picture. Slated for jetting off to play for Colombia when we were struggling. Turned out he was injured and didn’t play at Copa America. Think some fans need to cut back on believing their social media rumours as 95% of what you read online is fabricated, exaggerated or just not true.

I agree. Sigurdsson should be one of the first out the door. Laziest player in the Premier League. Even when he pretends to put the effort in he's still too lazy, won't attempt a tackle, or move a couple of yards for the ball and just points telling everyone to pass it to someone else. Absolute waste of space who we should never have pursued in the first place.

Hopefully Siggy heads to Saudi this summer.

He did get most assists and 3rd highest scorer last year and his record has been pretty good since being with us.

1st season 2nd in assists, 2nd sea 1st in assists, 3rd season was his worst and was 5th, last season only DCL contributed to more goals.

Hes a no10 at heart and isn't a player to go running around chasing but where you want him to do it, to be fair he does more than most in our team. He goes we need to replace 18 to 20 goals a season. That's an expensive replacement.

James arriving! How big is the runway at Finch? Must admit, I have never noticed one.

BJU. If you takes sigs pens away he loses most of his goals. Yeah he gets assists, but like I've said in posts before he should, that's his position. If we had a rubbish striker, would you say he was good because he scored more goals than other players?

If you're saying he should get assists in that position and he does, then is he not doing what he should be doing in that position.

So what is it he should be doing more of, for him to be good?

Of his 67 EPL goals 12 have come from penalties. Personally, I feel he should score more also from open play and in general. However, he still contributed to 18 goals in total last year (8 goals, 4 via penalty, 10 assists) and if he goes we still have to replace that. As I said that won't be cheap, not that we shouldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I would like someone more mobile on the pitch because no one really plays with players of his type that much anymore but he is a very good no10, or player just behind the strikers. I'm not sure anyone understands that role anymore as the game has moved on.

He isn't a good no8 or no6 or defensive midfielder and he's not box to box, however you want to put it. But then he has never claimed to be or been that at other clubs. We've just played him out of position.

People say he is lazy. Well if you look at other players who do his actual role, they don't go running around closing down space in their own half. His actual contribution towards chances created, assists and goals is good. His tackling and man marking skills not so good. I accept that and don't blame him for not being the player I would like him to be.
