Why do we insist on letting our young talent go when they are the players we need for our future? Ishe Samuels-Smith the latest to leave for 3.8m to Chelsea. I know we need money for the books but letting these youngsters with high potential go is daft to me.

He wanted to leave as did is agent. Chelsea offering 25k a week. Do we want to match that for a kid who would be out on loan for around 3k a week?
He was going to run his contract down so for me, we did the right thing.

Give it a rest.

Was he forced out of the club? No

Did he decide he wanted to leave? Yes.

I'm now watch Anthony Gorden and he's is fking rubbish, every ball is miss controlled, 45million think we spanked Newcastle ass in that one, for the rest ask urself why we let them go, maybe we are actually starting to get rid of players that aren't good enough, instead of keeping the likes of Davis around for ever and offering nothing, plus some players leave because maybe they don't see a way in to the team which also means they don't think they are good enough.

In all honesty didn't know anything about the lad, poor on my part or poor on fact he didn't seam to be talked about?

Anyway he's now not an Everton player so all he gets is a wish him well.

Gordon's second touch was a header.

The club gets slated when they let youth players go for nothing, they also get slated when they get cash for them. Madness.

That’s because they’re selling them for peanuts mate. We let the buying club dictate terms on how they will pay. Simms 3.5m up front the rest potential add ons. Not great.

How much is he worth then mate? 8m in total, if add ons are met, wouldn't be a bad price for a forward who has scored one premier league goal in 11. Especially since we usually see them go for free.

{Ed002's Note - Vhelsea are not paying Ishe Samuels-Smith £25k a week.}

Sorry for the confusion, ed002. I was replying to Woburn with regards to Simms rather Samuels-Smith.

{Ed002's Note - That is allSimms is worth.}

I agree ed, I don't think it's too bad a deal for a player who we will rarely utilise next season with f he stayed.

If we receive the add ins then that means Simms has achieved all his goals, have a think about that for a minute.

I think the simms deal is fair enough. Not playing him so get rid I get it and I'm not going to moan. We do however have no strikers other than dcl who is made of plasticine and cannon who is unproven, meanwhile good old Michael Keane is still at the Club. I do not believe this club ever learns as I hear Davies was offered a new contract and we are trying to sign fabian delphs mate (probably same school year)
