Like every Evertonion, I'm grateful to the manager for keeping us up last season.
However, and with respect, this is not Burnley, there, the objective was always to keep them in the prem, and he did a good job on few resources. But, this is Everton, the bar is much higher, so the man has the wrong mindset, or is not being allowed to meet those much higher expectations by an incompetent owner.
If it's the former we have the wrong man at the helm, if it's the latter has to give the board the simple ultimatum, give me the resources to do the job or I walk.

{Ed025's Note - when you say "this is not Burnley" ITB, your dead right...we aspire to be Burnley at the moment mate, they are a well run club who are on the up and have good players and spending power, for me we are very lucky to have Sean Dyche because without him we would have perished last season, he is not a quitter and knew the scale of the task when he took the job on, i keep saying this but its not a quick fix and we are going to struggle for the forseeable future im afraid and anyone who thinks different is kidding themselves, i suggest we all just try and enjoy the ride and see if Sean can weave his magic again and try to improve our fortunes..

With the grearest respect Intheblue, we are a shambles of a club at the moment, we don't have a pot to pee in. We can't afford stella players and we won't for a while. So when you say the manager does not have the right mindset, then you are deluding yourself. Currently we are a"Burnley" and Dyche whether you or others like him or not will hopefully stabilise the club, until we get out of this mess. By the way I respect your opinion, but I don't agree with it.

At the moment, our brief is to stay in the Prem so Dyche is the best man for the job.

Let’s hope we can get someone to lead the line before the window closes as relying on DCL is not going to keep us up!

Intheblue - how long have you supported Everton?

The bar at Everton is currently on the floor as we’ve been in freefall for several seasons.

Burnley are a well run club, decent recruitment and back their managers and doing exceptionally well with their resources - this is something we aspire to.

Some of our fans are so stuck in the past to think we’re a decent team - we’re in a rebuild and dyche is probably the right manager to help us with this.

Is that a joke, we are in deep do do and you think we need a better manager, jesus he did what probably no other manager could do, keep us up, we still have the same team, and it looks like not a lot of players will be added, we need him more than ever, we don't need another Lampard, keoman, Silva, Martinez, dyche, Moyes are managers that are honest, can get the best out of players, for me he's the right fit, we just have no money to buy better players and that's not dyches fault.

Well said. we finally have the right man with an extremely poor squad. I feel for dyche. He had to cut his cloth at Burnley but he's having to do a lot more of the same here at everton. Gradual improvement is the order of the next few seasons. Pressure off dyche re footballing style as far as I'm concerned. It has to be blood sweat and tears until we manage to get rid of the rodents that plague this club (players and board)
Dyche deserves an mbe for keeping us up. If we finally get to around mid table playing physical boring football and the board are gone I would be more than happy with that as long as I can look back on the last 3 seasons and Confine them to history. Finally it's ignorant to think we are better or bigger than Burnley. Everton is a club rich in history but in the current climate its exactly that ( this current board contributed buckets to the utter shame we are at the momemt)
