being linked with Robson Kanu.
I mentioed recently tat i thought he was a decent player but that he had been released from Reading and i didn't think he was good enough.

Reports suggest he let his contract run down so he could leave on a free. (if that's true in not sure i like it. )

Would anyone else take the lad ona free considering we have the money to go and buy proven prem/ Champions league players?

I wouldn't take him not to say he's not a good player just he's the type of player we would of been after in 2004 hard worker that may get 5-10 goals. We need a striker to get around 20 if rom stays or another player that could get 30+ if rom leaves. We should be looking at the best we can buy not what's free don't get me wrong if there is a great free player to be had i'm all for it just don't think he comes under that bracket.

Jermain Beckford springs to mind.

i agree Alyn. not to mention the fact that signing him on a free would also taek up one of our 25 in the main squad which i think would be better spending on youths now over the age of 21 (Garbutt etc)

If we say Robson-Kanu then we may as well just appoint Davey Moyes and bring ossie and hibbo back! its a backwards move for everton and we have youngsters who offer far more!
