Garath baraths "thinking time", is now starting to verge on the disrespectful, yes he did a good job for us last term, but we also saved him from footballs scrap heap, so MR Barry, put pen to paper, or say no and have your agent hark you around for a few pounds more, your price is already too much, and your ego is becoming priceless.

I agree. He was blowing towards the end of the season too as his legs started to go. Thanks but no thanks for me - he's taken too long.

Your lucky I gave you the time of day to read this post, and even luckier that I'm going to reply to it. First things first, hi there, nice to finally meet someone who works very closely with Everton's transfer dealings, it's such an honour to have your profound wisdom about everything that is happening with the Gareth Barry deal (sarcasm). How do you even know whether Roberto Martinez wants to offer Barry a contract, Mr. ITK? How do you even know whether Barry really wants a move to Everton but the club won't offer him a long term contract due to his age, Mr. ITK? Think about what you post next time, no one has a clue as to the specifics of the Barry deal so stop acting like you do. Sorry if this comes across a little aggressive but I'm pissed off with people calling Barry 'disrespectful' when they haven't got the smallest idea on how transfer negotiations work.

I'm pretty sure Martinez has said that he would like Barry to stay, I'm also sure he said that he will give him time and respect his choice! And I'm 100% certain that this is a rumour site so posters don't really have to think about things before posting, if this was a 'fact'site then I would understand your response but it's not so chill out!

Well said, BB, I completely agree.

Pod, you're clearly a fellow Blue so there's no point in starting a scrap, but are you really suggesting that, should Barry sign for us, you're not going to give him your total support because he took the time to make sure that the deal was right for him and his?

I think Barry wants a 3 year deal at 60k a year but Everton know his legs won't last that long, lucky if they last a whole season

why won't he last a season, he breezed through last season, aslong as mcarthy is running not a prob, similar to stephanie g of the other side, he never been blessed with pace so aslong as he an make a tackle and spread the play he can get at least a solid year, then season after euro and cups if he can't cope with league demands.

i agree 3 year contract is too much but he defo got 2 years imo

@John Ant - no, I'll support anyone who wears the blue, even if we do end up signing Cleverly! What I am saying is that if he can't make up his mind then we should do it for him. Clearly BB has laddered her tights to be so upset and no, I'm not ITK, but Bobby says he wants him and if we have not offered anything then Barry should just come out and tell us. He must know the fans are getting frustrated and if he doesn't then he's not interested enough in being one of us.

You do realise giving him a 3 year deal does not mean he will be here 3 years, he may stay for 18 months and then go to the mls to play for nycfc, I want him back regardless of whether or not he is on a 3 year deal, he was brilliant last season, we know what we are getting with him, its all well and good saying we should by someons from europe who is 23-24 byt there are not guarantees whereas with barry, there are
