Just seen on the SSN whispers board that we have an interest in Mata. Any thoughts on a) whether we have actually shown an interest or b) if anyone else thinks he'd be a decent signing? I for one would take him in a heartbeat.

Mata to slow for Koemans liking, Mane much better option very fast and knows where the goal is.

Mata would be an outstanding signing and one that would make people stand up and take notice.

He is in his peak at 28 but I'm not sure he will leave United. His wages and fee are going to be huge and whether this would be the right way to spend our money I'm not sure.

If you want impact though this would be the way to do it.

dero, how is Mata too slow? He bought Tadic at Southampton and he's not exactly fleet of foot. Both base their game on letting the ball do the work and beating the opposition with one pass not beating them for speed.
