Good evening all, just read we're just looking at loans in the window is this true? Unless we sell?

{Ed002's Note - I would not have high expectations of significant changes in January. Everton are still hovering around FFP issues and need to reduce the wage bill and utilise the cheaper or free options available to them (like Begovich, Townsend and Gray) and face work to extend contracts of some of the 8 who will out contract in the summer. They had a huge James Rodriguez issue that has now been resolved and 7 players aged 30 or more in the squad. Money will be very tight after continued losses whilst the club carry huge debt of more than £400M. Frank Lampard had targets from Chelsea and the Netherlands in the summer that nothing happened with and I suspect January will not be easy for the club. He wants to exercise the option on Conor Coady as soon as possible but as the season moives on that will become more difficult. Right now Everton are unable to complete the move to Bramley Dock without additional investment. Moshiri has had no luck in finding a minority stake buyer meaning a full sale is possible.}

Thanks for the reply Ed much appreciated. I had no idea it was that bad behind the scenes. Let’s hope we can pull off a couple of good loans then. Cheers again.

Thank you so much Ed002. Suspected that was pretty much the state of things. Yet people on here were still playing fantasy football manager. Get rid of this and that player. Be lucky to hold onto the players we have. Who is going to come to us now?

Only saviour is somebody comes along with more money than sense. And does a better job than Moshiri.

Lee moshiri appoints the board he has to take blame also it’s a total calamity. i'd of got rid of the lot years ago an got fresh faces in people who understand the game. At the moment clowns run are club.
Signed sold an no left back was one the funnest av seen. On top tha a striker whos. Been out for over a year an we pay 10 mil for one as backup an send one who’s progressing on loan to bring him back ??? massive massive problems an even people who haven’t got a clue about football are laughing at this state this clubs run.

Well I can tell you with a reasonable degree of certainty we will be in the new ground in 2024.
Anyone who thinks different will have to wait until October 2024 and see what the outcome is. It will happen regardless of additional investment in the club.
Regarding recruitment in January I don't know but let's hope we can get a couple in. What I do know is P/ S has been an issue for us for a few years yet we have signed players in every window. The club are working with the relevant parties and as it stands they are happy and EFC won't be facing any premier league sanctions.
Plenty of scaremongering going on in the media for click bait but the same stories have been repeated for the last couple of years.
One thing I can predict for certain in 2023 is we will be having the same conversation this time next year. The ground will still be getting built, we will still be on track for our move, we will still not have had any P/ S sanctions and we will have signed a player every window since.
Let's revisit this post in a year.

Anyone who thinks the largest privately funded and built project in the UK won't get completed are seriously deluded.

Well said Smit666 same hit piece articles every year by the same journalists the stadium will be built as Moshiri knows the club will be worth a lot more once completed and like the last window we will get a couple in payed on the drip UTFT.
