Just a very quick question for everyone. I'm not bashing Pickford or anything, however if a sizeable bid came in for Pickford would you accept it and replace him with someone like Fraser Foster? Or Joe Hart on a free? Just curious on people's opinions.

I’d replace him if a decent offer came in.

Thought he’d started to improve without the crowd but then last night he nearly cost us a goal by not being able to stop the ball with his hands on the floor. He also got a needless yellow card for time wasting.

His distribution when booting it long is completely pointless - always ends up with the opposition, very rarely creates an attack for us.

He makes a few decent saves I’ll give him that - but I don’t think he’s got the right mindset. Doesn’t appear to command his box and always looks to blame the defence if something his fault. I always worry he’s got a mistake in him.

Joe hart though? Are you serious? He’s terrible - would rather keep Pickford if Joe Hart was the alternative.

Think we seriously have to think of strengthening in this position though. A really good keeper can make all the difference, a bang average one can lose you games. I can think of a few we have lost.
So yes I would let him go, but only if we bring in a better player. It has to be all about replacing players if and when you get a better player. Continues improvement won’t happen overnight.

Well let's look at our immediate problems. 1) cash flow. Pickford however you rate him is still England number 1. There is a lot of other positions to be improved before we trawl round for another keeper, better than Pickford, your probably talking £50m+. That's not happening this window. We have overspent and to cut our cloth to fit.

Anyway who is for games with supporters next season. Playing poorly with a poor side but still beating Leicester. 7pts from 3 games. 38 games = 85 +pts. Pass the smelling salts, I'm feeling giddy!

The main thing is FFP and of course legitimate cash flow. Pickford is a problem, a good reaction Goalkeeper but thick as mince and unable to take direction. I suspect Carlo will try to get through to him but ultimately give up and rid.
