We needed a manager who was prepared to take a few risks and go for it a bit more. At home to Fulham who are let's face it a championship team we created nothing and even at 3 1 down he didn't have the footballing knowledge to change it. It's the same tripe week in week out and if it doesn't work then there is no plan B. Yesterday at 2 1 we have nothing to lose should have went 3 up top and went for it but no we stuck with 1 8 1 1 formation.

{Ed025's Note - thats not down to dyche joe thats just the hand hes been dealt mate, can i ask you for a viable option who would put his reputation on the line to manage this bunch of neer do wells?, i personally think hes our only option to save us and am well pleased he took the gig myself..

Agreed ED. I wouldn’t blame hime for walking away after that performance.

I go along with Ed25 and would add I was pleasantly surprised he took ''gig'' with the baggage the job already had hanging on it like a bunch rotten bananas, and whatever the state of affairs is atm SD had a poisoned chalice handed to him in that he would carry someone else's blame if things went wrong IMO.

You guys have a point but I’ve heard this before give Frank time give it time Frank will sort it out and now it feels like we are saying the same again Dyche will sort it give him time and you look at the likes of villa, wolves and palace they all needed a manager they got it right and we got it wrong again. If I remember Wolves had scored the fewest goals in the league when they got their new manager and he was able to change things around. We didn’t need park the bus tactics am sorry Dyche is a nice guy but he isn’t a good manager.

{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions joe, for me the teams you mention have far better squads than ours mate and i still believe he was the best we could get in our situation..

The squad is awful and unbalanced. In the very short time SD’s been with us, he’s got some good performances out of them. Yesterday was not one of them, although we did create enough chances to do better and were let down by some very poor decisions from our defenders. I’d stick with him whether we stay up or not. We still need to get rid of half the squad and rebuild.

Have we, for the most part, looked better as a team under SD? Have we picked up points that we would have expected not to under SD? Simply, yes. Was yesterday a shambles? Also, yes. But let's be clear, we have been miles better under the new regime, time is the least he should be given. Or would you rather we get rid of managers every year? That will certainly get us relegated, it's been part of our problems since FM came in.

Goal difference may be critical at the end of the season going with 3 forwards that can't score anyway would leave us extremely exposed in defence and we don't want to concede even more. let's face it we could play with 10 up top and still not score.

I don’t think any manager could get a consistent tune from this squad. They’re simply not good enough to compete in premier league. League positions don’t lie and we’ve been here last season too.
Until we clearout everyone who had a part to play in the mess (Moshiri, Chairman, Board, DOFs, sub standard Players, etc. ) we will be back here next season, even if 3 teams finish with less points than us.
Dyche will go the same way as all other managers since Moyes. He looks up for the fight but unfortunately he’s only a small part in the cog and most other parts are broken beyond repair and need replaced.
