Bramley Moor Dock has been given the go ahead by the Government.

1.) 26 Mar 2021 13:58:42
Great news, all these who wrote that it would not happen, hang your heads in shame.

2.) 26 Mar 2021 14:20:48
I'm not someone that said it would not happen, I was always more than hopeful that it would. But those that didn't think it would should 'hang their heads in shame'? Good grief.

3.) 26 Mar 2021 14:22:19
Can't you just accept the great news without a dig at people?

4.) 26 Mar 2021 16:48:06
Just get fed up with all the negative comments. How many times have we seen messages on this forum suggesting the new stadium would not happen. The club have done a fantastic job and there was no way the project would have been turned down by either the City council or the government.

5.) 26 Mar 2021 17:22:10
Well no stopping them now. Well done Mr Moshiri and crew. 👏👏.

6.) 26 Mar 2021 17:36:40
This will be a massive boost not only to the club, but also the people of Liverpool. A huge round of applause to everyone at the club. At last some positivity around this great club.

7.) 26 Mar 2021 18:12:05
It's understandable that some fans were apprehensive, there has been so many false dawns and broke dreams.
Great it's finally done now.

8.) 26 Mar 2021 18:30:57
Great news. Always been top of my bucket list to see it built and get in.

03 Mar 2018 16:12:51
Surely he'll not be there tomorrow.

Holgate, Funes Mori and Baines for the next game I hope.

1.) 03 Mar 2018 16:35:49
So predictable it's ridiculous. Not even upset, simply apathetic. What is the answer?

2.) 03 Mar 2018 17:36:11
Get rid!

07 Jul 2017 20:29:31
Josh Bowler joins the revolution.

04 Jul 2017 11:22:46
Giroud and Siggursson and a little bit of wee will come out.

1.) 04 Jul 2017 12:48:05
Fluffy if we get those two I might have to get a pacemaker fitted. Still keep thinking I might wake up and it will all be a horrible dream.

07 Aug 2014 20:52:59
Landon Donovan to retire at end of season

1.) Shame if true quality pro liked him to return for another spell

2.) Real shame! loved him when he was at Everton, but all good things come to an end! Once a blue always a blue!

3.) Club should invite him over as a guest to a game. I am sure he would get a great reception.Good player.

{Ed025's Note - as a guest tedster?...i would get a kit on him mate, he would still be our best winger for me..

4.) Sad but I think all this is more to do with his fall out with klinsman, otherwise if he'd have gone to the world cup he'd be playing for a lot longer. Think your right there ed, maybe a loan move for him in Jan could help change his mind about retirement.

Following on from the statute question, any thoughts on what the stands will be called? I can see the stadium being USM Bramley Moore Dock but the stands will be interesting. Will fans be consulted?

1.) 30 Mar 2021 21:37:05
Kendall still should have stand after him, otherwise if not how about the Holy Trinity end/ stand.

2.) 31 Mar 2021 11:11:48
Think Kenwright might get one. I mean let’s be fair where would we have been if he hadn’t stepped in when he did. Yes he made mistakes along the way, but he’s a supporter when all said and done, and sometimes as a fan your heart rules your head and you f**k up. I know I would have done.
But the guy delivered. In getting Moshiri we were able to get Ancelotti a new ground and a certain Russian who keeps pumping money into the club.
My personal view is if he hadn’t stepped in when he did then we could easily have ended up like the Forest’s and Derby’s of this world stuck in the Championship.

3.) 31 Mar 2021 11:20:19
Neville Southall should have something named after him, a stand would be good. One of the best keepers we've ever had, if not the best, best keeper in the world at one point and he gave us many years of service. Honour the man!
Woburn, totally agree mate. If BK hadn't managed to buy out that fella that used to sell hampers then we would be just a club with history, languishing in the lower divisions. For me, he saved the club from going to the wall.

4.) 31 Mar 2021 18:36:29
Couldn't agree more Woburn. It could have been even worse than being in the championship if he didn't step up when he did. He's made mistakes but feel some of the grief he's had is for not being rich enough which is hardly his fault! The job he and Moyes did to reestablish us as a top half top flight club should not be under estimated or under appreciated.

5.) 01 Apr 2021 06:57:45
How about the Arteta Money Stand 😉.

6.) 02 Apr 2021 07:42:45
Why stick to one when we could have a few things named after players?

Mark Pembridge Pick-n-Mix stand
Peter Beagrie Bog
Tony Cottee Club Shop
John Ebbrell End
Scott Gemmil Gate
Don Hutchinson Home Dressing Room
Ibrahima Bakayoko Bar
Danny Cadamarteri Crossbar
Pat Nevin Net
Terry Phelen Fence
Preki Pint Glass
Ratcliff Railway
Sheedy Steps
Unsworth Unisex Toilets
Alessandro Pistone Pitch-side Mic
Dixie Dean Dugout
Vinny Samways Scoreboard
Gareth Farrelly flood lights

Why stop at one or two? We could name the whole sight and charge players for the pleasure.

{Ed001's Note - surely the toilets should be named after Hutchinson? Considering his tendency to flop his dick out at every opportunity and teabag old ladies on flights etc while drunk. Unless you have a strip club in the stadium??}

7.) 02 Apr 2021 13:59:35
😂😂😂 - Jacuzzi for Drenthe and his woman too. I’m only jealous.

8.) 02 Apr 2021 23:40:27
Personally I'd love a Goodison Stand, home for over a century so be nice to keep a little tribute.

30 Jan 2021 14:34:16
Well that's ruined my weekend. Top 4 contenders? my arse!

02 Feb 2020 14:16:31
Win against Palace on Saturday and we could be joint 5th. Would never have thought that a few weeks ago when Martinez got the bullet.

1.) 02 Feb 2020 15:35:36
It’s back to the future for you.

2.) 02 Feb 2020 15:49:12
Wow someone has been in hibernation for quite some time!
Glad you have woken up Fluffy, there’s a lot that’s happened since when Martinez was sacked 😂.

3.) 02 Feb 2020 16:00:27
Martinez, you stuck in time warp?

4.) 02 Feb 2020 16:10:39
Lol. Since Silva was sacked :)

5.) 02 Feb 2020 17:04:21
Looks like you’re called Fluffy for a reason mate. 😂. I get your point though. I was looking at the league after the Arsenal match and saw the same thing.

6.) 02 Feb 2020 17:08:41

7.) 02 Feb 2020 20:19:19
Haha I always said Martinez for Silva haha. Glad I'm not the only one😅.

8.) 02 Feb 2020 22:55:42
Quite easy to mix those clowns up.

17 Feb 2019 16:52:40
Hi Ed's, with Man Utd "looking" to sell Lukaku, what about a poll to see who'd take him back?

{Ed033's Note - For a poll, please send a question and voting options.

1.) 17 Feb 2019 17:22:50
Don't need a poll . A BIG FAT NO.

2.) 17 Feb 2019 17:27:00
Or how about 1 stay at utd
2 don't want him back
3 swap him for silver.

3.) 17 Feb 2019 17:51:53
You don't know our manager's name yet mate.

4.) 17 Feb 2019 18:07:52
As in silver you never for one minute thought I ment Silva did you Guernsey 😀.

5.) 17 Feb 2019 18:22:38
lol mate.

6.) 17 Feb 2019 19:51:52
The problem with Rom is that he isn't as good as he thinks he is. At a club chasing for honours that has players of better ability, he seems to be like a fish out of water. When he is at a club that isn't fighting to break into the big 6, when he is the main man, he looks a better player. I doubt we would be in for him but I would take him back if the chance cropped up. He is a lot better than the forwards we have, knows the club very well and is an established premier league player.

7.) 17 Feb 2019 20:33:30
I think whoever told him to pack on so much muscle ruined him look at his physique when he signed for us to his shape now, he can't move like he used to.

8.) 17 Feb 2019 21:19:51
Good post mate.

9.) 17 Feb 2019 21:35:30
No idea of your ability as a player (now or in your youth) bluepotato but Lukaku in concentration mode is a very very good CF, problems arise when he has to come back to retrieve, then the ball bounces off. We have currently the players to bring the ball forward, what we need is a Rondon or Lukaku to hit that ball on a run.

10.) 17 Feb 2019 22:08:25
johny1989, I would not normally say this. I am a 69 year old man, no bragging but fact, daily I do 3 x 10 chinups (to chest) , 3 x 50 pressups, 3 x 50 situps and stretches. That is my daily, 4 times a week I go to the gym. Lukakus muscle buid is nothing to do with his movement as long as with that build the movement exercises go in hand.

Through out my life I have come across comments and criticism such as yours Johny but the fact is not all of us are built the same or indeed mentally think the same. I have Arthers in my hips now, but once warmed up I can still run and at 60 was still doing 6 minute miling. Lucky is what age, and you are killing the lad for putting on muscle. Get a grip lad.

11.) 17 Feb 2019 22:15:21
Lukaku is a cracking player. Strangly though, often mentioned but never picked up on is his main ability. The lad coming in from the right wing is unplayable.

12.) 17 Feb 2019 22:40:19
Not entirely sure what my level of playing has anything to do with me giving my judgement on Rom, DFS? I think he would do a job for us, my last post explains why. But he does seem to think he's a better player than he actually is, I think a lot would agree with that, he hasn't really set Old Trafford alight since joining them has he? Maybe johnny has hit the nail on the head, Rom has bulked up a bit too much of late, might be something to that for all I know.

13.) 18 Feb 2019 10:34:30
Well done on keeping fit ill be sure to post your medal soon as i give a flying u no what. What has your body got to do with roms? before he put all the muscle on he was fast and played off the last man and it worked now he's got a lot more mass and trys to be the big target man and its not his game. at no point did i "kill the lad" for bulking up just suggesting he should have stayed a bit more mobile and he would not be stuggling. But as usual u take my words and twist them into some crap to support your own agenda.

14.) 18 Feb 2019 10:57:53
I'd take Rom back because we've never replaced him so why not bring him back and have that threat back that we currently don't possess. We have technically gifted players going forward now but they have nobody to aim for. The balls that Digne puts in are wasted by nobody running onto them. Lukaku is a top quality Centre Forward so if we want to move forward and seriously challenge then we should be going for a player of his quality to do the job that no other player in our current squad can do.

15.) 18 Feb 2019 10:58:15
I'd take Lukaku back, don't think he would want to return though.

16.) 18 Feb 2019 11:34:19
No, we have to move on, never the same when they go back.

17.) 18 Feb 2019 12:06:59
I think he saw us as a stepping stone to better and bigger things. I can't blame him either as we've gone backwards as a club. To me he doesn't look like the same player that left us. I don't think he's any better either. Still has that amazing first touch though! I would definitely take him back as he scored vital goals for us and as mentioned previously we have not replaced that factor. I very much doubt that he will ever be an Everton player again though.

18.) 18 Feb 2019 12:15:10
re reading your post ducks and its hypocritical u say not everyone is built the same then go on to say roms sluggish games have nothing to do with his physique because u do 10 chin ups a day? that might work for you but it very obviously doesn't work for rom does it?

19.) 18 Feb 2019 21:46:24
I would have him back. The guy scores goals and that is what we desperately need. Just don’t see it happening though.

20.) 19 Feb 2019 11:39:44
I'm sorry I know it's personal opinion and I respect that but I think anybody who would reject the opportunity for Lukaku to come back is as mad as a box of frogs.

21.) 19 Feb 2019 15:38:12
Chances are he is the best we could probably get but don’t think it will happen Utd won’t want to make a loss that’s for sure regardless of form.

26 Nov 2017 16:51:06
Need to identify the manager we want and the ln throw whatever money is needed to secure, even it means paying £10m a year to get them. I feel sorry for Pickford having to take the ball out the net 9 times this week due to the inept players in front of him.

1.) 26 Nov 2017 17:02:30
Why did I miss something? Sure we only lost 4-1 today so that means he picked it out 4 times this week yes?

2.) 26 Nov 2017 17:10:14
Wish I could forget Atalanta happened too.

3.) 26 Nov 2017 17:11:27
Yes you've missed a whole 90 woeful minutes Thursday we lost 5-1 didn't we. Fluffy included that.

4.) 26 Nov 2017 17:11:57
Plus 5 times on Thursday.

5.) 26 Nov 2017 17:19:25
Pickford from a relegated Club, Keene from a yo yo Club, the rest unwanted by their Clubs and snatched our hands off for the prices we paid. We have/ had two Managers (one interim) who were top class defenders in their day. Yet we have a Team that has no confidence and are shipping goals for fun. Now you tell me, because I am baffled! In the old days the buck stopped at the top but now a days it filters down and those at the top protect themselves any way they can. Surely today against a side that couldn't get past the halfway line in previous matches but puts 4 past us, it must be the last straw. Do we have anyone astute, hard and savvy enough at boardroom level to start a root and branch clear out, because from where I/ we sit. This will just go on and on.

6.) 26 Nov 2017 17:24:46
Wasn’t it Robles picking the ball out the net against Atalanta?

7.) 26 Nov 2017 17:35:07
Robles played Thursday.

8.) 26 Nov 2017 18:26:29
That’s my point, OP said 9 times out the net, he didn’t play Thursday, all the clowns quick to give it to me there wasn’t ya hahaha.

Last I hear the government is looking to extend the 21day review period they have which was due to end on Wednesday.

Only hope that Joe Anderson arrest isn’t linked.

Says on Sky that he’s not eligible to play tonight.

Why? If Moyse was still the manager then we'd all be watching ssn on Monday to see who we'd sign at the last minute. Under Martinez we've already got Eto, Lukaku, Besic, Barry and the future generation have signed long term deals. If we get Henen and a loan then it'll have been a good summer

I’d go with the below. Need a strong defensive performance and hit them on the break with lots of crosses into the box. Need everyone to be 9/ 10 tomorrow to stand a chance

Mina Keane Godfrey
Coleman Davies Digne
Allan Siggy
DCL Richy.

Thankfully Spurs got beat. Just need Man Utd to win and Wolves tomorrow and will help soften the blow of how poor we were against Burnley.

Agreed. They’re squad players at best and can’t be in the starting lineup if we’re going to win anything. Shopping list this summer needs to be a 1st choice RB (not an understudy to Coleman) and a pacey RW (like Richy is on the LW) .

I’d second that team. Gylfi been playing well so wouldn’t be too upset if he played.
