I've managed to calm down now and hope everyone else has as well.
I never really expected anything from the match in all honesty but thought we could maybe nick one if we were lucky.
A positive (only just) was that we did defend better against a team that moves the ball around at speed. Their goal was a well worked goal but we'd had our warnings from the corner before and should have stopped the ball out to the man on the edge.

I'm not going to talk about negatives as I'll just get pissed off again so let's talk development/ work on.

We need to take Young off the free kicks/ corners and get someone who can deliver a decent ball into the box. We are a big team so should be better.

SD needs better in game management and change it up sooner, whether that is by subs or formation. He is far too slow to make a sub.

The players need to get a better understanding. Our passing is awful. Think the best pass of the day was from Pickford to Myko which says it all really.

Garner needs to be put into the middle 3 as the current 3 aren't doing it. Doucoure isn't a number 10, he's a box to box midfielder and not creative.

Our wingers still look lost, McNeill was absent all game.

I can go on but I'm getting angry again. I still think we've got some ok players and this result was always going to happen. The concern for me is that if we get a points deduction we are gone as we won't puck up enough points.

Come on SD sort it out.

{Ed025's Note - im glad you have calmed down TB, me...not so much, im still furious with the team and management because that performance is just not acceptable to me mate, we are a laughing stock on Merseyside and even worse the reds supporters even feel sorry for us which is a bigger insult..

In fairness to McNeil it was his first game back.

1st game back or not. If he's fit enough to play then he's fit enough to put in a good performance. End of the day we can't string a pass together. Can't attack teams, struggle to defend and only change things up when there's no time to make a difference. Dyche seems like a glorified big Sam. Should of gone 442. And before anyone says that our midfield gets over run when playing 442, our midfield is poor which ever system we play.

Am with ed 25 on this that pathetic excuse of a football match I witnessed yesterday was a disgrace. The manager has to take massive responsibility on that performance the players looked lost no plan what so ever. Its like they are set out to defend for 90min.
The manager in my opinion should be gona soon as possible. Go get the ex wolves manager in wile ya can.
Playing them 3 in midfield an doucoure as your 10 is complete madness. Put garner in the cm role an drop one of them headless chickens who can't pass a ball 3 yards to feet.

Think you speak for most of us TB except the calming down. I calmed down about 3 times last season…. Arsenal at home, Brighton away and Bournemouth last game. Other than them I’ve been angry, annoyed, frustrated etc. at how poorly our club is being run and how poor the team have performed.

Get Dyche out and Potter in. Ed I know you thought Dyche was the man for the job but he isn’t and never was. we should have listened to all the people on here who told us Dyche was a tube. They where right.

Potters style is to caress the players into his style, which from what we saw at Brighton was good. Would he get the time needed and could he work with players he never signed? We are five games into a season sharpening the axe already for Dyche. I would have preferred Potter ages ago, or should we now talk in terms of many managers ago as the new standardised time unit for Everton. What a mess we are in.

Dyche and his coaching staff have no ability to coach that is very evident with current displays. Do we really practice deadball situations I think not . Why can’t the clown or his staff see the same game as we do and change it quicker so it actually affects the game . The performance yesterday was a new low for me and I can’t see it getting any better .

I just think I'm giving up Ed. I hate watching us. There's no enjoyment anymore. My 11 year old keeps is shocked when we don't get beat. I feel sorry for him that he's going into school and getting stick of the other kids.
Even I'm giving my apologies for being a Blue when I'm asked who I support. How can it be this bad!
Like I said I've calmed down and I'm not going to allow them to get me down and depressed.

{Ed025's Note - it can certainly be embarrassing TB, a lot of my mates are reds and feel sorry for me which is something i hate, i dont even defend this club anymore as i have run out of excuses mate, when they tell me how crap we are i just agree..

I agree Ed it was woeful and the worst thing is we don’t look to be improving even with the new editions recruited, not sure it was the right line up leaving out Garner and not sure SD has the charisma to motivate an improvement.

{Ed025's Note - Garner was a strange omission for me as well Uran, for me he has been one of our better players mate and if he cant get a game in front of our 3 midfield reprobates then hes really struggling..

Ed where you not one of Sean Dyche biggest fans. If I remember it was you who was shouting the loudest about him getting the job. You said there is only one man for the job. There was people on here telling us how bad his training and tactics are and that he is a Sunday pub team manager but they got told they are wrong. Well they where right and the people who gave them a hard time where wrong. Someone said on here that there was a reason no other team offered Dyche a job and they where ? right. Some fans have a lot to answer for anyone could see Dyche was a turkey I can’t believe we gave him a job what an embarrassment. Anyone could see this coming but not us.

{Ed025's Note - i must admit Dino i was expecting better, he is the guy i wanted because he can work without money which should suit us to a tee mate, but im not giving up on him just yet as he still has time to turn things around, but i feel he has to take a more pragmatic approach or the fans will be calling for his head..

Definitely the fans fault as we all attend the meetings about recruitment and management replacement ??
Name the manager that you wanted, Dino, before SD came in. I could almost guarantee that they would be in the same position now as SD finds himself in. We have, by and large, championship players who would struggle in the championship. I seriously doubt many managers would get a tune out of these frauds. The rot starts at boardroom level, how you can level it at the fans is absolutely laughable mate.
Too many in these forums want to be able to say 'I'm right, you're wrong' which is a strange and crazy notion!

I remember how bad we were under Walter Smith, but those teams had fight.

Moyes had inconsistent times as well when he started and we went long spells without winning. But again those teams had fight.

This team seems to have no fight. I hope they prove me wrong, though.

Moyes and Smith had issues financially as well, but they overcame it. Both had time. We can't keep sacking managers. SD does need to be better, he does need to get more of a tune out of these players, he does need better in-game management, he does need to get them to fight but let's not jump on him now.
I'm with Ed in hoping he comes good and finds a formula.
