I know every football fan wants to see new signings, the situation we are in as regards to ffp and the absolute dross we are being linked with is no better than what we have. I just think we should go into the season with what we have now, our squad should be capable of staying in the league and see where we are after that (hopefully not the championship) I just don't see the point of buying mediocre players just to get bodies in.

Dumfries to inter for £12.5m. Seems a very decent price they’ve had him for.
Be interesting to know why we didn’t get him after being linked for so long - ffp, alternative targets, him actually not wanting to join us etc.

We might have got after him. Most players would opt for Inter over us, or any team offering CL football.

JB - from a footballing perspective I could see Inter being a more attractive proposition (champions league, competing top of their table etc. )
However financially would think we would have offered him more money in wages.
If he did choose Inter over us good on him for not just going for the money.

Totally agree but if we are just going to get a mediocre one what's the point Kenny is there and godfrey can play there and yeah agree about Coleman but he can still play.
