Not sure if I can believe the story in today's rags about John Stone being visited by fans at home. If it is true then what has happened to our club?

That said, I took my son to Southampton and he was given a lot of abuse by some so called fans. They told him f off, that he was a person, and other things that I will not put down here. He is 6 years old.

It was his first ever Everton game, and to say he was excited is an understatement.

In the weeks leading up to the game I told him as much history of the club as I could. Told him about the reason why there is are two Everton FC's, how the Everton Free School helps people, and basically got him to be proud to be an Everton fan.

He wore his new Everton goalie top to the match. Then he basically got abused by some Everton fans. Again, he is SIX. He was scared stiff, obviously so, which just made the "fans" do it even more. Strangely enough, when two police officers arrived the abuse stopped. Very brave people whoever you were.

He has not even asked to wear his top again since that day.

And the reason he got picked on? Because he does not have a scouse accent. We were even told we were "too posh for our club". I left out some words in that quote.

So am I surprised if the John Stones abuse story is true? No, unfortunately I am not. I find it very sad that people think it is remotely OK to act in such a way even exist, but they do.

I must be honest, if the story is true then if I were John Stones I would be doing my best to force the transfer through. And our "fans" will only have themselves to blame.

{Ed025's Note - sad to hear that sussex, we should see ourselves as a global brand and not be so insular, i hope you told your lad that 99% of our fans are decent people, and to take no notice of these so called fans who,s agenda is at best questionable, i hope he has not been put off mate as we need to carry on the excellent support this club has, get him to do a post on here under your IP and i will try to reassure the young guy that even though im a scouser not all of us are so bigoted and shallow and its a very small percentage that is..

Spurs have told Everton that Lennon would cost £6 million. If that is true, I would get him in a second. He brings a much better balance to the team than Mirallas, and actually tries, which is something I can't remember thinking about our Belgian winger for an awfully long time.

We would probably get a lot more than £6 million for Mirallas too, so it would be good business all round.

Cant see Levy letting him go for that mate, no chance, he will have a dozen clubs after him as he looks like he is playing for a decent move

No murf, he will have all the usual clubs after him and he rejected them all for us, levy doesn't decide where he has to go, it is also an option to buy for 6m anyway so levy has no say now anyway

Most loan deals have a future option price pre agreed at the time, £6m in todays market for Lennon is good value.

After seeing the papers saying 6mil good price.
When he signed I got told it was with a option to buy for 7m. And same with astu for 8m.

And mirallas I have been told will go to spurs for 15m and that will cover the cost of lennon and astu. And.leave us with our budget for a extra att mid and 2 CBs who will be pushing for a first team spot

Mmm didn't we all think Barry was a must buy after his performances last season.
Never entirely convinced when it comes to loan players, though I have to agree he is better than the current crop we have.

Your dreaming Yorkshire blue if you think we're getting 15m for kev, for one he's not worth that and two levy is no fool especially when players are in the last year of there contracts. We will be lucky if we get 6m for him in my opinion.
