A word of advice to some of our younger contributors. I've followed this club for almost 60 years now through thick and thin. We've been in far worse states than we are now a few times (remember Wimbledon) . The only thing you can do is sit and sweat it out as it usually sorts itself out in the end. That said, it's not easy, comfortable or fun at the moment but we have to support the team and manager because the are ours and its what we do.

With you there mate, we have been privileged to see the Glory days at Everton, be great to share them again, with all our fans young and old, oh and I have followed the Blues since the 60s, where has that time gone lol.

I love your optimism, but at 23 years of age and only thing I can remember celebrating was beating Liverpool at anfield last year first I’ve ever seen may I add you can tell why the youth have given up. Useless rubbish every year get money and get worse haha I for one have turned my back on Everton waste of time.

{Ed025's Note - never give up on your club JJC, supporters must be there through thick and thin mate...even though it does not get much thinner than this..

That apathy is part of the reason we’re crap now. Zero accountability for the board because they get away with years of mismanagement, and we’re meant to take it lying down.

I feel for the generations that haven't seen us lift a cup or win a league. Growing up watching the great team of the 80's was an amazing time to be a blue and at the time you never expect it to end. I have to hope we will get to them levels again in my life time, it isn't easy being a blue!

{Ed025's Note - your dead right there BP..

JJC It will turn eventually and when it does those good times will be appreciated and treasured by you even more. I still remember the first time I was allowed to stay up to watch MOTD, I was 5yrs old and remember the commentator screaching Reids cross Grayyyy. We were the best then but just 18months before that you could argue we were in bigger do-do than now. I remember Mike Walker and the abysmal team, truly awful, a year where we had 1 great half which kept us up. It changed overnight when Royle come in and 8months later we had silverware with nearly the same players. Keep the faith we got this!
