Once again VAR but it's the people that run it we were done here today, we played well and full credit to the Team, bar that dopey pass from Young of course.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 20:17:38
We moan like anything as do Managers but I bet the Clubs keep VAR after the vote.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 21:34:16
I think they have to dfs; it’s the future! Problem is: it’s used in a way that makes no sense.

Surely, you stick with the ref’s decision unless VAR see’s something otherwise. Do offside from the furthest foot forward. Goal line tech seems to be fine. As for handball, play it at real time and see if it changes the outcome of the passage of play.

Today should have been simple but the ref went against the evidence. Oh well. On to next season.

19 May 2024 20:54:07
Yep I reckon VAR will stay.

When Young was signed, everyone realised the physically he was past his prime but he was signed for his "smarts", his positional play and his ability to play the right pass.

Agree1 0Disagree

19 May 2024 19:43:47
He also can play 5 positions. Maybe not well but saves the club a lot of money. Not saying its right or perfect.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 20:22:51
Ha ha ha brilliant. You guys have to be taking the p**s. Ability to play the right pass, plays five positions but not good. Love it.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 21:35:23
He played a great pass today that lead to the goal. Absolute tosh. Get rid as probably on stupid wages.

Good old var / referee. Doesn't surprise me. It's Everton!

19 May 2024 18:24:22
Imagine if we had needed a point and that happened, disgrace!

19 May 2024 18:06:06
It's a handball, that's it, didn't ricochet off anything. He gained an advantage from it hitting his arm. Great performance, i'd written us off. UTFT!

{Ed025's Note - yeah Bobby. We were cheated mate..

Agree2 0Disagree

19 May 2024 18:25:04
We were cheated but leading up to it we were once again totally negative.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 18:26:52
Just read that VAR said it was handball but Michael Oliver obviously thought otherwise.

19 May 2024 16:53:50
Good first half Sean has the Team really well set up, it's not all Gooooooners.

18 May 2024 11:25:44
Just wondering about Smith Rowe of arsenal, scores goals, can play as a winger or number 10, what's the chances of us getting him on loan, arsenal don't want him, I think he would be perfect as a replacement for dacoure, probably way out of our league but dreaming is ok now and again.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:35:36
Think be a very good signing BluePasty. He as the graft too. Don't think he would be totally out of our reach as well .

Definitely a case that we need to utilise our 2 loan slots a lot shrewder next season and actually try improve the first 11 with both.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:17:44
That’s the sort of players we will be looking to bring in, young and hungry.

Agree3 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:25:26
May suit Arsenal to loan him too. Type of deal I can imagine we’d look at and in a position (10) we desperately need.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:56:41
Not for me gents.

Fantastic player but has a worse injury record than DCL.

3926 minutes played out of a possible 17100, across 5 seasons of football. 322 minutes this season. 161 last season. His best season being 1909.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 16:35:59
Best season was 1909?! How old is he?

{Ed001's Note - going by that, just a couple of hundred years younger than Ed25.}

18 May 2024 17:10:07
Love it Ed mate.

18 May 2024 19:41:09
Fits our current recruitment policy Ed.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 20:06:30
Ed025 is a whipper snapper!

{Ed025's Note - if only DFS.. :)

19 May 2024 12:01:44
Love it JB 😂.

Wander and Pasko have resigned from their positions in 777.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 11:41:39
They’re a pair of crooks and should not be anywhere near our club.

{Ed002's Note - It leaves Everton with a huge problem.}

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:58:02
Have to wonder what Moshiris fascination with 777 was/ is all about.

{Ed025's Note - i have a feeling there will be an Usmanov connection with 777 DFS, or is that just my nasty mind mate?..

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:18:44
It’s mine as well mate they have been buddies for years.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 20:12:53
Well they were my thoughts ED25 but ED002 did say to another comment on the Russian connection, that someone was teasing them. We are on very tenuous ground here, with Government sanctions etc! But these are incredibly powerful people some more than Countries. Governments can say what they like but even ours is somewhat neutered beyond our own financial borders.

{Ed025's Note - i have a certain distrust of people with lots of money mate, there is something dodgy with all of them and how they gained their wealth be it tax dodging, ripping people off or even things more sinister...if you have more than me you are a crook in my book.. :)

Agree1 0Disagree

18 May 2024 18:06:35
Ed02 does it still leave a huge problem if msp take over an turn the 200+ million into shares.

{Ed002's Note - You don't understand I am afraid. You can't turn other people's debt in to shares.}

Does insanity effect all those who do Everton player squad deals.
Ashley Young is to be offered a new contract, are we running a football team, or a home for OAPs?

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 09:06:49
Well our new ground does have zimmer parking.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 10:44:31
He’s been one of our more consistent players this season, and whilst we’d all love to be signing players I believe our financial predicament will prevent this.

If it’s on a relatively lowish wage and allows a youngster to develop alongside him then it makes sense given our situation.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 11:29:04
From all accounts he’s been amazing in the dressing room and a real leader, which is what we’ve lacked for years. There’s probably a view to him taking on a coaching role at some point too. It’s one year and it’s cheap and he can play in several positions . I think it’s fair enough. Let’s not forget we’re in real financial trouble.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:38:28
Yep Swinners. He is experienced and a calming figure, squad player yes, need limit his playing time. Expect a few more Young like signings this summer, free and experienced. Where we are at currently.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:16:04
Consistent player, Lewisham wage? I don’t think so.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:20:45
It’s as Gingerdan says also in his right position he has played ok and is fit, plus plenty of experienced.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:27:56
If he’s a positive influence, and a bench player, I suppose he’s good value, and can play many positions. He was consistent- consistently poor!

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 19:43:36
He’ll be on a fortune for a liability of a player. He’s another Holgate/ Keane type. Get rid and get in some one who can defend without his bookings or giving away silly fouls or potential penalties. Madness to offer him a contract.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:08:51
Not sure how you follow blues feel but having just watched Jürgen Klopps tribute, he is going to be a big miss to the premiership and football.

Hard to admit but he has done a excellent job across the road and as much as he is annoying with his moaning and antics at times he has been a credit to the league.

We can only hope if and when Sean goes we could fall lucky and find a guy that could build us up like them lot, be very doubtful but can dream, shows how important patience is in football.

{Ed025's Note - i loved his last press conference Mocker, he paid tribute to the city and all the people in it mate, great manager for me as well..

Agree2 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:36:18
That worried me Mocker when you stated "if and when". WHEN SD goes, I too hope that we can find that inspirational genius to take us into our next successful period.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:49:08
Yeah class act. I have the uptmost respect for him.

Agree2 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:58:36
Couldn't care less about him. He's done a good job over the road. Hope slot is a square peg in a round hole. Thought it was really classy of liverpool to announce him while Klopp is taking his last press conference.

As for Klopp he's never shown any respect to us and wouldn't expect or want him to and therefore I ain't got any for him. Just another manager of the enemy.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 May 2024 18:06:46
Nick, I get you don't like Sean and his Dyche all, but he ain't going anywhere mate anytime soon, he has a difficult job to say the least but has achieved his remit and can argue overachieved in the circumstances and PTS deduction (we would be 11th and behind 10th on GD) , he deserves some slack mate cmon. Sean job is to stabilise us for next couple years then the question is worth asking can he take us to the next level, for me he deserves a go if he manages to achieve stability and remain with us for next couple of seasons, this summer again is going to be turmoil and patience is key.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 May 2024 18:12:08
Same as that BlueJohnUns arrogant springs to mind, glad to see the back of him.

17 May 2024 20:06:20
Mocker I accept your post and perhaps we just differ on our expectations.

17 May 2024 23:27:24
No doubt that Klopp is a skilled manager, but I can’t stand the sight of him and won’t miss him one bit.

I've been told by Liverpool fans who been to fan events that he very rude and refuses to speak to fans as he to busy . Personally think all act for cameras. Heard this of multiple people.

I take no interest in other teams don't watch a football match unless efc are playing but I'm going to enjoy the self entitled fans of lfc have a meltdown now he's gone same as I've enjoyed watching the demise of mufc since fergie chucked it.

18 May 2024 10:45:22
Can't wait for Turkey teeth to go didn't mind him when he 1st came to the prem then he showed what a moaning arrogant p. k he was. but he did love DCL's header in the derby his face was a picture.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 10:46:19
Biggest moaner in the league and a rather nasty individual when asked questions by journalists after a defeat or draw.

I for one won’t miss him.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 10:51:35
Yeah read shamus and idrissa are staying for another year aswell. suppose it's just were we are at the moment he doesn't rate the youngsters and we can't afford to buy anyone it does make sense if we are happy hovering above relegation again because no doubt we will get more points deducted at some point because the fa have something against us and how crap we are run.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 11:15:37
That reply is on the wrong post.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:17:34
Klopp is all smiley when things are going right, but is in the assistant refs ear the whole bloody game.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 16:12:28
Coleman and Guaye I can accept. But Ashley Young, please God no.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:54:47
Cheap cheap cheap. Get used to it.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 May 2024 23:28:16
Other cheap options though surely. In fact many that would accept a lower wage than Young.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 09:10:28
Agree JB, but it looks like Dyche is sticking with who he knows.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 13:24:01
Maupay on his way back from Brentford, not good enough, let him go.

Agree3 0Disagree

17 May 2024 15:02:31
He scored at Brentford GB. So what did they do different to us for him to score? We seem to have a knack of getting rid of players who go onto do better. Do you think our coaching and game plan could be at fault rather than the players?

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 15:06:49
Agree. But we need to buy a buyer first GB and get whatever money we can.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 16:13:36
Wouldn’t touch Maupay with a barge pole, he’s exactly the sort of player who needs to be moved on, hopefully he can go for free.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:10:54
Doubt any of us would GB. We all know he needs moving on but we ain't in a position to give away on a "free" and need to find a buyer.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:52:05
Nothing is free we save on his wages, simple.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 17:58:07
The difference is they play on the deck and flood the box with players and not hoofed in for 1 striker to wait for the perfect ball. He isn't the answer and will not suit Dyche ball but I do love his shi9housing. Still time for Brentford to make an offer as he did well for them. Guess they want to get the big man's deal done before they make any decisions.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 18:14:01
GB,

We can't just give away yanno. Haha. We would after pay up his contract and he carries a value to the business. Simple.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 May 2024 18:14:07
I think Brentford want to buy him FBS, best thing about him is his mouth.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 10:44:07
He had enough time and enough minutes to get used to whatever system it is we play, plus numerous training sessions. For whatever reason, him and us just wasn't a good fit so we should cut our losses and get rid.
He has spoken about the way the fans treated him here since he left on loan so I don't expect that he wants to be at the club when the season starts. Let's be honest, he's made a name for himself this season for all the wrong reasons. His social media and the way he conducts himself on the pitch brings unwanted attention, the lad comes across as a bit of a rat. Get what we can for him.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 10:55:26
I don't rate him but they play 2 up top. Wonder if they would swap Toney wissa or mbenue for him lol.
