In his after-match interview tonight, Moyes states that they are just trying to get in the types of players for now that can help the team get through safely until the end of the season and stay because of the limitations with PSR and time of year etc. & he also confirmed that it won't be until the summer time that proper spending and rebuilding on the squad will take really place as he's wanting bring in a much higher quality of player to get us up much higher up in the league. all very sensible and all very positive from him and the owners. So let's not expect any big transfers for now, just stop-gaps to get us through this season so we can stay up and be safe. c. o. y. b!

Who’s expecting big transfers mate, I want 2 or 3 in that can improve us, there are plenty of players out there that would improve us of that I have no doubt, and they won’t cost a fortune.

There are plenty that are moaning and groaning, just need to see the bigger plan going forwards.

It’s not moaning and groaning, it’s years of watching crap. Every supporter has the right to an opinion, and can assure you that all want to see improvement in the team. Yes it was a good win today, and we have had some good results since the management change. But we still need to strengthen in certain positions. And all supporters will have differing opinions on who we should buy. Hopefully the the management feel the same.

Yeah ye said all that in his first presser. Definitely a sensible plan and I assume the PSR hangover is eased after the end of the season too. A couple of ready to goes and not ones for the future or injured loans seems about right. Oh hang on.

I think we need to remember who we're talking about here, Moyes basically plays the transfer game like he's spending his own money and I'm sure he said that once himself. Some called him dithering Davie because of how meticulous he is.
He'll get in who he thinks will improve us but if he thinks that there isn't any value in the market then we'll stay as we are.
I agree it can be frustrating as a fan but he knows what he's doing and I trust him.

I have never thought we would get anyone in this window unless loans went back and we got new loan players. Managala gone back, I'd love to see Harrison leave, Broja maybe depending on injury. Be great to get a striker, CM and a winger but in all honesty I'm not holding my breath.
Personally I think it's bang on to not buy any players in this window and wait to get the right player in the summer. Bored of all the panic buying and overpaying. I'd prefer to spend what money we have on 2 or 3 great players in the summer than 6 or so bang average players across the 2 windows.

Understand and agree what you're saying Chris, but I worry the squad is stretched at the moment with injuries. Lose 2 or 3 more in certain positions and we're in trouble.

Well it looks like Alcaraz is a done deal, can play across the forward line and looks a decent signing. Reckon we’ll sign at least 2 more.
