Don't worry, in a few months we will be back to normal fan base cockyness at half time. I know we are so used to blowing it that even this half time score hasn't got any of us confident. These old SD tactics are working eh? You know who you are you trolling bots. Someone best check in on SD because he might be about to do himself away. How can football be played so wrong and hoodwink a fan base into believing hoof ball is the only way? Lunacy utter lunacy.

Ok got a bit nervous but a lot to like. I don't ever want to hear 3 things. Sam Alardyce Sean Dyche. and Dogs of war. So nice to see camera zoom in and seeing EFC players smiling mid way through the 2nd half. O'Brien needs to put his head on the ball and stop doing those pixie flicks so often and Pickford was a bit of a maniac as per usual. 4 points I wanted but 3 is fabulous from this week. The game can be played by professionals and they can be encouraged and trusted to perform. Onwards and upwards.

2.) 19 Jan 2025 17:08:13
Good post FBS.

3.) 19 Jan 2025 17:35:02
It was very noticeable that the players looked a lot happier. Till Young and Keane came on and Pickford was seen crying ?.

4.) 19 Jan 2025 17:39:34
I loved dogs of war FBS. Saw some of the most exciting games, doubled up in tackles, no rest for opponents. Brilliant.

5.) 19 Jan 2025 17:46:10
Ah the experts have come out to play.

6.) 19 Jan 2025 19:23:50
Fair enough. I preferred the school of science but whatever gets you going.

I'm just relieved he has gone. If DM is the right man, we will all find out soon enough. Just watched his presser and 3 things for me. 1 he states in one answer that he "wants to start winning games and scoring goals straight away" seems simple enough of course but to hear it repeated through his presser is refreshing and he clearly will be focusing on it in training.

2 " I told DCL this morning we are all looking to him to get his goalscorer boots back on and he knows he needs to work"

3 "Ill bring Bainsey up plus McKinley, Irvine and I want a set piece coach hopefully all my team for this season will be here by next weekend but I have an eye on some different back room team members next summer but let's get over the line with time to spare this season before I go into all that" these are the fast changes we need and he says he has much more to do but that'll all wait for him to secure safety and he will reveal those ideas in the summer. Such a honest open non ego centric presser, and refreshing not starting sentences with "I" been a while since we've had that. This presser has got me backing him. Good luck DM and get it done. 4 points coming up and next 2 games.

Agree FBS excellent press conference and no B S mate.

2.) 13 Jan 2025 20:04:01
Absolute GB maybe get to enjoy a few games from now on.

3.) 13 Jan 2025 20:09:58
I think these next two games could be very good for us.

{Ed025's Note - only if we win them mate..

4.) 13 Jan 2025 20:33:38
Cmon Ed Villa aren’t invincible and Spurs are absolute rubbish at the moment with all their back 3 out, now is a good time to get this done mate have faith new broom and all that.

{Ed025's Note - i want to believe the miracle GB but look at the 2 teams we face next mate, Villa are a very good team, not unbeatable but have far better players and a good manager, Spurs have already thrashed us 4-0 this season so to turn that around would be difficult to say the least mate, new manager bounce hopefully gives us some impetus but make no bones about it these are 2 very difficult games..

5.) 13 Jan 2025 20:44:04
I have absolutely no interest in hearing the players were having some fun at practice this morning. A bit like SD saying Harrison looks great in training. I want Moyes to start kicking some but, these lazy overpaid players have gotten away with murder too long. Against Villa I expect passion, more attacking, more shots on goal and more goals and if he picks Dacoure or Harrison in the starting eleven I will be very disappointed. I expect a win against Villa and nothing else is acceptable.

6.) 13 Jan 2025 21:02:30
Bluemike you think he didn't/ doesn't kick butt you're on a different planet. This bloke doesn't and never did wash his laundry in public. If he picks Harrison and Doucoure and they fook up, they won't be in again.

7.) 13 Jan 2025 21:27:19
The meds taxi must be running late.

8.) 13 Jan 2025 22:15:50
I know what Moyes is like, I, like most supporters are just frustrated with the state of the club and this is the only forum that I can express my frustration. We will see what the reaction of the players is against Villa. As for FBS I would love to meet up with you sometime, as I have said before you are a big boy when taking cheap shots on the internet, let's see how brave you are in person.

{Ed025's Note - listen guys we cant be having posters slagging each other off or insulting each other, the forum will deteriorate very quickly if we do and i cant allow it, if you dont agree with someones views just ignore them and move on please..

9.) 13 Jan 2025 23:06:53

This is the worst top flight game I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of stink the last 5 years. Even full of flu the Bmouth fans are cracking me up. Far more entertaining than the perpetual snot on and off the pitch.

Hope the new owners are watching this and think Broga just wants to get sent back to chelski rather than play this type of football.

Usually the expectation from doing the right thing against vastly superior outfits to the next game against a lowly Forest changes, oh hang on. So the Everton way is to get battered by them but this is where my sympathy for Dinodyche ball ends as I now expect a dominant win against a side who is playing well but pre this season kick off, I'd have rated most of our first 11 man for man better. That hasn't changed except a mentality shift. Something our players could do with. And that's management.

Formerly Brown shoes

{Ed001's Note - you are deluded. Not even before the season kicked off would anyone neutral with knowledge of the game rate Everton as a better team, man for man. You are just talking crap to have an excuse to whine again, as usual. So tedious. Forest's recruitment has been excellent since the chaos of the first season and they have built a good solid upper half team there.}

1.) 26 Dec 2024 18:49:43
In a combined team.
Pickford
Branthwaite
Tarks (maybe)
Ndiaye
Then Forest players.

{Ed001's Note - I am not convinced any of those get in. Forest's have 3 excellent centre backs, Pickford wouldn't be anyone's choice but Everton fans. Ndiaye maybe, but Elanga, Hudson-Odoi and Gibbs-White would probably be ahead of him.}

2.) 26 Dec 2024 19:11:01
Honestly FBS quick query to your post you say at start of season man fir man we are better than forest then who do you have as better than:-
Gubbs white?
Elanga?
Hudson-odoi?
Murilo?
Aina?
Wood?
Even say that Awonyi gets in our team and that milenkovic who i knew nothing of so haven't included but for your point I'd say that probably say 6 or 7 of there starting 11 improve us straight away.

{Ed001's Note - Milenkovic was wanted by all the big clubs around Europe a few years ago, but no one could get a deal done with his club. His form suffered for a bit after that, but he is revitalised this season and looking like the player they all wanted again.}

3.) 26 Dec 2024 19:17:25
Pcikford, Branthwaite and Ndiaye are our only 3 good players so that kind of negates your theory there. Man for man we are a lot poorer than most teams in the league. I expect Forest to drop from the top 4 or 5 by end of the season but give them some credit, they've played well this season and had some great results. We can only dream of playing a more exciting brand of football, that will only come with a more adventurous manager and capable players.

4.) 26 Dec 2024 19:18:27
Cheers Ed I just couldn't place him so was trying to be fair to FBS seeing the previous reply and thinking I'd say if I was a forest fan then there's only 2 that I would consider from us which would be pushing it which would be Branthwaite and possibly ndiaye I really think that would be it.

{Ed001's Note - it is why you are where you are. Hopefully that will change under new owners.}

5.) 26 Dec 2024 20:07:43
Forest are on fire and deserve to be where they are and so do we. This isn't a delusional thing. But I'd wager my claim pre season nobody's got forest where they are. A couple of signings and things could change just as quick for us. I'm not going to trudge through the man v man list's but this is more to the point that SD isn't c.

6.) 26 Dec 2024 20:09:16
SD wasn't capable of making the changes. I was simply hammering SD.

7.) 26 Dec 2024 20:15:12
Also just remembered I waxed lyrical about Gibbs White on here a year ago and called him a "baller" and got absolutely murdered on here. It's funny how different we look at a squad of players half way through a new season. I was never slating NF.

8.) 26 Dec 2024 20:35:55
Well England see him as their No1 so I would say yes he’s the better keeper.

9.) 26 Dec 2024 21:10:08
You can have other nationalities NFM. Pickford may be regarded as the best English keeper by some but Forest don’t have to have an English keeper…

I’m envious of Forest to be honest. We could have done with a manager who inspires the team and gets results. Sadly, we have Dycheball.

10.) 26 Dec 2024 21:36:10
I'd agree Pickford and Ndiaye could warrant a place in Forests first 11 only other 2 are Tarks and Jarrad but Murillo and Milenkovic are very decent CBS too and can't argue them two.

Football is all about confidence and momentum and forest have that currently and fair play to them, it's nice seeing the top cluster being broken and our time will come, funny how a lot on here mocked the idea of Nuno taking the job for us or how Chris Wood is is useless blah blah blah, they got Elanga ahead of us as he choose them because of style of play under Dyche, Gibbs white was linked to us previously when at wolves, they have bought very well including Anderson from Newcastle and Hudson doing on a free, all reasonable prices and shows what can be achieved by not having to get the so called named players in, a good balance and team spirit and they are reaping the accolades no doubt they will fall of next season or 2 again and another teams moment will arise, let's hope that is us, we have the foundations in place to not yo-yo when we finally get back to where we belong, the ingredients are there we just need a recipe and chef??.

11.) 27 Dec 2024 10:31:29
Wow didn’t realise that BR. Thanks for pointing that out.

12.) 27 Dec 2024 12:26:00
Here to help BMD!

13.) 27 Dec 2024 14:38:20
As good as Pickford has been for us. I always prefer keepers to go about their business quietly. Van Der Sar did this the best. He kept all around him calm and instructed only when he needed to. That Sels looks a quality keeper. Much of a muchness between the two.

No point even discussing our fullbacks. Tarky has no chance of getting in. His strengths have only ever been his robustness and his basic defending e. g. putting his body on the line. His positional sense and IQ has never been there and the older he gets the more obvious it is. Even yesterday, if he had of stepped out, JB would not have had to try and make up ground and stop the cross. Milenkovic and Murillo are in my opinion the best defensive pair in the league. You could argue Saliba and Gabriel but i prefer the Forest lads as they have a throwback character.

Personally, I would put Mangala in there over Yates. Mangala is a very good player and importantly knows what he is good at. The better team he plays for, the better he becomes. He had a quality game yesterday again and is only getting better.

Ndiaye comfortably gets in the Forest team. Whilst he may not have the physical attributes of Elanga and Hudson-Odoi, his technical ability with the ball and his IQ is head and shoulders above. He never panics and plays with a calmness that is alien to his teammates. Even his defensive work is intelligent, he stood Savio up yesterday and his body-positioning was brilliant, so much so that Savio decided to go back and play it inside. In contrast, everytime he got 1v1 with Mykolenko he ran at him and butchered him.

Ndiaye could comfortably play in any team in this league and not look out of place, lad is a great player.

Absolutely nobody else gets in this Forest team, other than Mangala and Ndiaye. Pickford and JB don't offer much more than Sels and Murillo, so they cancel each other out.

He'd be a great defensive coach as part of Anges team. Got a feeling he's about to have a very very long time to himself. Was it 2 years prior to us? Maybe he can learn a language or do an OU degree? Who cares though?

This needs to be viewed from the players point of view. He can talk to foreign clubs now but he is on a high wage and this is his final big contract, either with us or elsewhere. Unfortunately he's been in a team ran by an absolute bell end and his numbers have been atrocious so that's going to chip off a lot of salary demands from new clubs. Who'd pay over £100k a week for a player with his numbers? So that potentially brings us back into the fold as a better option. Can't see us improving his current deal but we can't lower it either. He may seek a new league of course and do the Saudi thing? I don't think that's where he will end up. Unless someone goes bonkers and offers £15m + he isn't going anywhere this month. Best thing for him and us is to get his groove back and have 4 months of relighting his fire and then he has all the power again in the summer. He then has 3 months to negotiate the best deal. I personally hope he embraces DM and enjoys his final months and unless his dream is offered (I have no idea if he dreamt of Arsenal or Man U) he can play himself back into us being a backup and sign a new contract. Players who do this contract run down do it to get the big sign on and wage increase but his issue is he's been crap and nobody is going to give him that deal, at the moment. Head down and try to get to 10 goals by season end would help his cause. Win win.

It was very well documented the lads issues and that he'd been out of favour at Spurs for near on a year. We pulled our own pants down and put a pint glass on our head and danced around the pool table.

I'm not brave enough yet to do a prediction. More of a humble expectation to see another step forward in performance and seeing signs of DMs influence is enough for me. Brighton do seem to have a terrible injury issue at the moment so like Spurs, they're far from full strength. Be great to get a win of course but I just want to watch the game and be increasingly entertained. Maybe a few more games and a significant signing or 3 and then I'll start predicting the gulf of our winning score lines UTFTs.

Potter I think as Potter is apparently pushing for him at Wham. Knows him well apparently. I don't know many 20 year olds other than the few freaks who were prolific at that age. He's built like a tank and reminds me of Big Dunc in some ways. Isn't afraid of leaving a foot in and terrifies CBs with his directness pace and brutal physicality has no respect for the big reputations.

I'm still stunned Brighton are even considering letting him go. Maybe they know something about his injuries? He recovers the ball and presses well but in the box he's a bully. If he gets fit and stays fit then a few seasons he could be worth a lot (another reason something stinks with Brighton bombing him out) he doesn't have prolific numbers but he comes deep and tackles and is a team player. I like him a lot. Can't see us getting him unless he's a cut and shut and everyone else knows but us.

Yeah if the first 60mins of the spurs game is anything to judge then Ndiaye is nailed on 10. Be nice to pop Gana (who's actually been ok) and Duke on the bench for Jimmy and Timmy. They'd be useful enough to bring on with 10 / 20 to go and maybe we can have 1 GK on the bench. McNeil definitely on the left. Lindstrom deserves a start but hopefully we sign some right wing back and play 3 CBs but I'm probably getting carried away.
