Lukaku to Chelsea and Messi to psg within next couple days. this means both clubs will have to sell a few. We need a huge influx of players after yesterday's debacle. but we have to be sensible. since moshiri came we paid top dollar for established players and paid them fortunes. we now need to go back to moyes way of thinking and bring young, hungry players from Europe and lower leagues.

Chelsea have 42 players in their first team squad currently, can only name 25 for the Prem. Abraham, Hudson-Odoi, Zouma, Bakayoko, Loftus-Cheek. All would strengthen our squad, most would start. Thoughts on Ross Barkley?

JB, barkley has had his time and just has no end product so it's no from me. Loftus cheek or Hudson odoi I would say yes to.

The thing with Moyes is he blended youth and experience, Fellaini for example, Yobo was good for us
Then the experience of Distin and Neville, who I really warmed to after that tackle on Ronaldo 😝

Why anyone would seriously consider Barkley is beyond me?!?!

Would happily take zouma, Hudson odoi or loftus cheek as JB says - lomas would be good in our current ffp situation.

The way I look at it Dan is who would you rather have in are midfield. Delph, Davies, gomes or Barkley? . We need more goals in the team and Barkley will score more than the 3 listed above.

Also got to take into account it looks like we’ve lost the 1 midfielder who does contribute goals assists through no fault of are own.

It’s hard to be optimistic Ed. I’m 26 mate and my life as a blue has been a perpetual state of eb and flow. Just hope you’re right but I’m going into this season the least optimistic I’ve ever been. Saying that my optimism hasn’t done us any good so far haha.

{Ed025's Note - im 63 mate and have at least seen us win things, it is what it is and if we can get a couple in before the deadline im sure we will be fine, but we have to lay off the new manager and give the team support or we have no chance..

Let’s see what happens over the next three and a bit weeks. Hopefully, there will be a signing and a couple of loans coming in. I still believe we will get a RB and backup CF (otherwise we could be in some trouble)
