Can anyone shed any light on the Connor Coady situation at Everton. Is he a loan to buy deal and if so can wolves decide to keep him if they want to after the loan?

{Ed002's Note - Conor Coady (CB/DM) Frank Lampard wants to exercise the Option to Buy as soon as possible. The player would need to agree. Wolves are not part of that process. If Everton don't want to keep the player or CC does not wish to stay at Everton, then he can return to Wolves.}

Based on how he’s playing so far and the way he seems to have settled into the club it clearly seems sensible to sign him as soon as possible.

If he keeps performing as he does I’d imagine more teams may become interested in signing him at the end of his loan.

However with our finances, even though we have the option to make it permanent if coady agrees, would we be in a position to do that before the end of the loan without adversely affecting this seasons books so to speak?

Use Moise money.

I don’t think finances are a problem, if Frank wants him signed permanently money will be forth comming as Woburn says Moise cash will more than cover it.

If wolves have no say then there is no reason why coadybwont stay.

He's settled in dead quick and seems to love the club and fans.

£10 million will be sufficient apparently.

Surely Wolves as the parent Club are part of the process.

Isn't he a free agent in the summer?

They are DFS.

They agreed to a season long loan with no option to call back during the season as well as an option for us to purchase for £10-12 million.

If we decide to take up the purchase option then the fee has already been agreed with wolves so nothing else for them to do.

That’s some seriously bad business from Wolves. At least it’s not us for a change.

Seriously stupid transfer business by Wolves. Club captain, regular England international, steadfast professional who always gave his all for them. Whomever (Lage is my guess but could be wrong) decided he had zero future and wasn't needed made an awful decision. It's not as if it's even a good financial decision because the suggested price is very modest in todays game. To then scramble at the last minute for a sub par replacement made it evidently farcical. But hey, worked out terrifically for us so no complaints here.

Seen lots of hate on social media from Wolves fans towards CC which baffles me as he was there leader in the dressing room and magnificent on the pitch and they are still adamant he can't play in a back four.

Think the recent post by Coadys sister suggests that there was an issue with Lage.

From what I’ve seen from wolves fans they couldn’t believe he was let go and can’t believe the business Lage and Shi have been doing at the club, in particular letting 6 defenders leave club and only bringing 1 in.

Nice that we’re actually on the other end of a ridiculous transfer decision for a change.

I thought CC wanted more game time with the world cup approaching and that he wanted to be closer to home? Regardless, I expect the club to have this all ready to go come the next window. CC will be our first signing in January, even we couldn't mess this up!

Amazing thing is Wolves went back to 3 at the back at the weekend. Letting Coady and Dendonker go seems madness in the extreme.
