Maybe VAR could assist. Then in the interests of sportsmanship, deduct 4-5 seconds if one of the top 6 clubs, and add 4-5 seconds for all other clubs.

Wasn’t there a 6 second rule at one stage that didn’t really do much. Not sure why 8 is the new number. If a keeper is taking the mick, let the ref just talk to them and book them second time. Strange why people mess about with changing stuff like this when there are more pressing issues that corps be sorted (like VAR)

I've heard a rumour that because of the 115 Man City have against them, All English clubs could be banned from European Competitions. Any Eds know if this has any legs?

I keep seeing these news reports staying that JB is "keen on a move to a club playing in Europe" or "has to move to a big team to get an England call up". has anyone actually seen anything that JB himself has said about wanting to go? It’s international football column inches struggle. Facts are more telling than gossip. JB has two years left on his contract. We want to extend this and are not under pressure to sell this summer.

We are 100% under pressure to sell this summer if he doesn't sign a contract. We can't afford for him to go free.
Forget the papers and look at the facts. 2 years left on his contract and club's want him. If it goes to his last year then he's gone for nothing.
If he signs we have him for longer, potentially much longer and if he does go he goes for a premium.
This matter is more urgent than the summer transfer business right now.

Why shouldn't we play hardball Mocker? Every other club seems to do it with players they have under contract. Look at Leeds last summer for example, we wanted Gnoto, they said he's worth x amount, we didn't want to pay it, they kept him despite him publicly wanting to move. We have to start being as ruthless as others if we want what we deserve.
Do you ever see Spurs just bowing out at a lower fee? No. They set their price and that's final regardless of what other clubs want. If Man utd really want Branthwaite that much then they need to pay what we want them to pay not what they want to pay.

Just seen this, I'm completely shocked. I hope everyone involved is OK and has a speedy recovery. 53 year old male from Liverpool was arrested, also heard some rumours that he had a heart attack whilst driving but not sure how true this is. Prayers and thoughts to everyone who this has effected.

I agree that wage demands could be high, also just seen that Gomes was after £150k a week in January when Spurs were linked with him. Don't know how true that is as he currently is only on £13k a week.
