Eds you heard anything about the belfodil deal collapsing? If so do you think we'll go back in for gabbiadini? Also if depay Is off to Lyon, will we firm up any interest if any in that Jonathan cafu?

{Ed002's Note - There is no agreement over Belfodil with the fee to his club nor the personal terms at this time - the involvement of a third party was a serious mistake. Napoli's asking price for Gabbiadini is putting clubs off right now - so it will drag out until the end of the window unless someone comes up with a deal. Leicester remain very keen on Cafu and have held discussions. Having added a winger already that may not be such a priority.}

1.) 18 Jan 2017 08:53:31
OK cheers Ed. Hope we get 4 more in either way

2.) 18 Jan 2017 10:16:28
Think you may be being a bit hopeful with 4, unless your including potential youth players. Honestly I can only see 2 coming at the most. An attacker and a defender. Personally I'd be happy with that for this window. Especially if we can move kone on

3.) 18 Jan 2017 10:55:54
Defender definitely a striker and a creative mid at least, Roland dad say he wanted 5

4.) 18 Jan 2017 13:55:34
I'm already very happy with the window, move out some under performers to make space in the squad for summer and let the kids fill in when necessary. We only have league games left this season that's only 17 more games.

Maybe one more player in, but I'd be happy to wait until summer when there's more quality players available.

5.) 18 Jan 2017 14:00:00
What sort of third party was involved Ed?

{Ed002's Note - van Buyten as previously explained.}

6.) 18 Jan 2017 15:02:55
Thanks Ed.

Out of interest what sort of role would he play in the negotiation? Presumably each club has their own people involved in the negotiation and the player would have their agent so what would be the relevance of including a third party?

{Ed002's Note - It is not uncommon for third parties to undertake negotiation on behalf of clubs or act as a go between.}

7.) 18 Jan 2017 15:08:34
Informative as always. Thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Agents and "representatives" get involved in all sorts of matters - some even get involved with the brokering of the sale of clubs - others have to babysit players. Two quick stories you might enjoy. (a) a Premier League player who couldn't drive had his agent organise the purchase of an expensive car that was rolled out of the garage when he was visited by the press etc. for interviews, demanded the car was replaced a year later with the latest model in a different colour. He still couldn't drive - but it was image. It had a couple of hundred miles on the clock. (b) a northern-based Premier League player who had put clothes in a washing machine but had no idea how to turn it on repeatedly rang his agent in the South East for instructions on how to use it. This was eventually solved by the agent persuading someone at the Worsley Park Marriott to send a housekeeper (or similar member of staff) around to his house to do his washing and instruct him and his girlfriend in the use of the machine. I will say that both players involved are English.}

8.) 18 Jan 2017 16:01:22
Ha ha brilliant. Seems like being a modern day football player is hard work.

9.) 18 Jan 2017 16:25:26
Love it Ed you could write a book with material like that

10.) 18 Jan 2017 17:25:01
Well if I was offered the kind of money that some of these agents earn I would go around that players house and lick his clothes clean.

{Ed025's Note - i heard that some of the agents go to you for a loan ace, but i dont know how true that is mate.. :)

10 Jan 2017 20:26:58
Yes he's finally coming. 22m plus add-ons next 48 hrs

06 Jan 2017 12:13:45
HI eds if interest in manolas is to be believed would you think we could offer gerry on loan if they decide to play hardball?

{Ed025's Note - he could certainly be part of any deal berkshire and would help with the availability of squad places mate..

1.) 06 Jan 2017 18:21:53
Cheers Ed tip stuff

29 Dec 2016 17:14:46
Hi Ed you heard anything on gabbiadini going to wolfsberg? And Sebastien haller to us?

{Ed025's Note - it looks odds on that gabbiadini is going to wolfsberg berkshire, but at this moment there is nothing this end on haller coming to us mate..

1.) 29 Dec 2016 17:53:35
Gutted gabb would have beengood addition. Can see it being berahino at this rate.
Cheers bud.

{Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

28 Dec 2016 11:03:33
Hi eds. Do/ would you consider berahino as a back up plan to gabbiadini or as well as?

{Ed002's Note - It would be an alternative and a knee-jerk reaction.}

1.) 28 Dec 2016 14:08:16
He might already have a good relationship with rom and they mightn't form a frightening partnership upfront you never know.

{Ed002's Note - This relationship being built from their 12 years togeather playing for Barcelona?}

2.) 28 Dec 2016 15:17:01
There one year at wba 😂😂.

Hi Ed koeman has said he wants 1 or 2 more in would that include the deal for belfodil or as well as? Think we need a CB and creative midd

1.) 13 Jan 2017 17:08:22
It seems the Belfodil deal may be off. Something came to light which Everton didn't like. Whether they are looking into it and it is on hold, or stopped, I don't know. This is from Belgian and Algerian ITKs.

2.) 13 Jan 2017 20:09:53
Too many agents spoil the sale. Lot of sticky little fingers there.

13 Jan 2017 08:54:15
Would love depay/ cafu
Gylfi and van dijk would be the best window we could get
Would settle for Keane if not Virgil

1.) 13 Jan 2017 18:02:49
Keane or Gibson are far more realistic than Virgil, much though i would like him.

19 Aug 2016 14:15:54
Hart told he can leave and kone not playing due to a back injury and refused the contract at Sunderland.

1.) 19 Aug 2016 15:30:04
Better keepers than hart. His wages are ridiculous too! Let's some other club be mugged off.

17 Aug 2016 10:48:04
Rumour has it usmanov might be selling his take in Arsenal and joiningredients up was farhad, can you imagine league titles here we come.

1.) 17 Aug 2016 11:02:35
Joingreidient up lol, what happened there.

2.) 17 Aug 2016 13:16:03
I think its his recipe for success murf.

16 Aug 2016 17:21:23
Joe Hart has been told he can leave city. Could be a great signing this.

How about a 5million loan with a 12.5 mill to buy think that should suit everyone

{Ed025's Note - that does not suit united berkshire, they are looking for £20m+ but want nothing at all to do with a loan even if its a loan to buy mate..

Cheers Ed
I have reservations about that belfodil fella if we do get him in, could be another Jelavic though

{Ed002's Note - Standard Liege say they have not had any offers for Belfodil - as of first thing this morning - and he would be training with the team in Marbella. However, Daniel Van Buyten may possibly be acting as an intermediary and he is in Spain.}
