Ed, wer not getting that kean kid from juve r we? Just put that to bed now.

johny1989

{Ed025's Note - i dont think so johny mate..

1.) 14 Jun 2019 00:34:02
If Man Utd are demanding £150m for pogba from juve they may have to sell a few players to balance books?

2.) 14 Jun 2019 07:03:52
If that's the case bigger clubs than us would be after him I would have thought the lads gunna be a top player.

3.) 14 Jun 2019 18:34:19
If there's any chance, it's as a loan.

4.) 14 Jun 2019 21:08:38
They won't loan unless he signs a new deal as he has 12 months left I think I read somewhere so would lose him for nothing next year anyway.

5.) 15 Jun 2019 08:18:59
As Juve are trying to generate cash for Pogba and balance books FFP, You'll see a few decent players who are nearing end of their contract up for sale why us because they'll put a buy back clause in plus he gets season in better league, just like Barcelona do.

02 Jun 2019 22:38:54
Ed please put this to bed, wer not getting rabiot r we.

johny1989

{Ed002's Note - The demands he has are well beyond what most would pay, and he comes with baggage. I am not aware of interest and I would comfortable say I think it unlikely (at best).}

1.) 02 Jun 2019 23:23:37
Thanks Ed sounds more trouble than he's worth.

2.) 04 Jun 2019 14:01:46
£170 k a week sounds ridiculous but a 4 yr deal plus £5 million signing bonus adds up to roughly £41 million. although it's a vast amount, is it too much for a player of his abilty in ythis market?

16 Jan 2019 14:45:20
anything in the edin dzeko rumours eds? i would love him to come in, be our starting no9 and let DCL learn from him to take over in 2/ 3 years.

johny1989

{Ed002's Note - Certainly not out of the questions and with a lot of clubs and agents having met in Geneva over the past two days, there has certainly been a discussion with one side and possibly others. Although wages may be an issue to Everton, I would not rue it out.}

1.) 16 Jan 2019 16:59:53
Would this perhaps see Schneiderlin move in the opposite direction Ed or is any Roma interest purely newspaper speculation? .

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in Schneiderlin from Roma but they do want a DM and their prefeered choice doe't want Roma and their Plan B won't move until the summer.}

2.) 16 Jan 2019 17:30:10
thanks ed, personally think he's exactly what we need.

13 Jan 2019 19:54:44
lookman and DCL have a lovely understanding i think, lookman has 2 assists this season now both for lewin, they play together for england and do well together for them also, think lookman needs a run of games on the right bernard on left richarlison just behind lewin. let siggy compete with gomes and gana for the 2 cm spots
that front 4 would be lethal i think.

johny1989

1.) 13 Jan 2019 20:19:45
Agree Johny mate on Lookman not sure though on DCL, i reckon Tosun and Niasse will go this window, and think Marco will get another striker in.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 20:59:29
I like DCL but as we all saw in the Spurs thrashing there is a massive gulf between what we had up top and what Spurs had. If we want to bridge the gap we need better than DCL, whilst not giving up on him. He is the future but not the here and now that will make us as competitive as the top six. Lookman on the other hand is class. Every non EFC fan that I know says the same.

3.) 13 Jan 2019 21:14:17
not saying he's gun a be anywhere near kane but lewin is on more goals this season already than kane had at 21 mate oh how we would love him to turn out like harry haha.

4.) 13 Jan 2019 21:34:46
before i get inundated with how wrong i am i think i misjudged that he is on more now than kane when kane was 20 not 21, 21 was kanes break through season.

5.) 14 Jan 2019 04:40:01
That would be great Johny although I’d be happy with a modest 15-20 goals a season return in years to come. Although your original point about the connection between DCL and Lookman is a good one. I would like to see more of that now that Silva looks happy to use the two players more.

6.) 14 Jan 2019 10:48:38
looked into it a bit Ace and kane by the end of the season when he was 21 had 52 goals in 142 games, that's including his loans to lower league teams. DCL has 29 in 120 not a bad return when u consider how often lewin has played out on the wing.
Again am not saying he's gunna be Kane am just saying in my opinion he's gunna be a top top player who deserves time in the team and people off his back as players like kane had 1 season of premier league football to his name by lewins age the kids been doing a job for us for 3 years now, if lewin had gone on loan to lower league teams the last 2 seasons his and kanes goal return would be a lot closer. The boy has every attribute we want in a striker he's fast good finish and good in the air. if we sell him we will regret it by the time he's 25.

7.) 14 Jan 2019 15:13:58
Agree with all that mate.

8.) 14 Jan 2019 19:30:16
Lookman MoM for me against Bournemouth. A little disconcerting though that he played best on the LW when he went over there and once the striker situation is sorted out we will then have 3 very good LW's and one neutered RW.

9.) 14 Jan 2019 20:53:57
Agree totally with your original Post Johnny.

Calvert-Lewin is young, as is lookman. They’ll both do well given time.

10.) 15 Jan 2019 10:47:30
I look at DCL and think back to Greame Sharp, he was a right donkey at first but in the end he was a good all round centre forward and lead the line to a couple of league titles I am undecided about DCL and at times think he will never make it but I thought the same about Sharpe and he has pace, works hard and never complains when not in the side. I like his attitude and effort so maybe if we get better he will do, but need to play in the middle I think.

09 Jan 2019 18:24:31
question for ed002 has the rumoured sala intrest died off now or are everton still looking at him? thanks in advance.

johny1989

{Ed002's Note - It seems to have gone for now.}

1.) 10 Jan 2019 12:35:38
I’ll be glad when transfer windows shut reading all rumours then nothing comes of them got board saying no plans for any big signings yet we’re after him him and him lol I’ll sit here holding my breath on any signings lol.

2.) 10 Jan 2019 18:45:52
Agree pal.

3.) 10 Jan 2019 18:46:28
Agree mate.

4.) 10 Jan 2019 20:21:05
Think as I read it we interested in 20 plus players mm and we will sign how many answers on a card please lol.

{Ed025's Note - how big is the postcard whitey?.. :)

5.) 10 Jan 2019 22:08:52

Isn't it great when your not worried one bit in a transfer window, If we lose anyone I trust brands to replace them and i trust him to clear players out and replace with better quality, such a change from the Walsh era.

johny1989

{Ed002's Note - So when Mina goes he can bring in another left winger?}

1.) 06 Jun 2019 09:50:33
you can never have too many left wingers ed.

2.) 06 Jun 2019 10:12:14
Where’s he off to Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Fenerbahce have had some discussions about him.}

3.) 06 Jun 2019 10:56:22
I did see the links to Fenerbahce, would they have the finances though or on the flip side would we look to sell low? 🤷🏻‍♂️.

{Ed002's Note - The money is not an issue to them but they would likely want a loan to buy. They have had a couple of people in England talking directly with clubs about a number of players.}

4.) 06 Jun 2019 11:55:22
Bit strange to sell so quickly isn’t it? Is the player unhappy or do the club not want to keep him?

{Ed002's Note - Injurioes, not good enough, language issues ....}

5.) 06 Jun 2019 12:34:55
That’s a shame, I thought he was going to be a good player for us once the injuries had passed. With the Zoumer situation still very tricky perhaps we might see some movement in that position too. No Zoumer, Jags and possibly Mina too is very much a worry.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have enquired after Diego Llorente but have yet to speak to Chelsea about Zouma.}

6.) 06 Jun 2019 12:39:15
Cheers Ed.

7.) 06 Jun 2019 16:22:36
His injuries have been a pain but i wasn't aware he swore a lot.

8.) 06 Jun 2019 20:14:00
I didn’t know that he had a foul language issue either maybe they are worried about the cards for foul dissent 😬.

20 May 2019 14:00:01
How much do we think it would cost to get gerri back. What a player he is turning out to be imagine him richarlison and Bernard as a front 3 it would genuinely terrify most teams.

johny1989

1.) 20 May 2019 15:41:45
Watford genuinely love us so i'm guessing pretty cheap. Oh hold on, they hate us. Probably about 50 million Johny.

2.) 20 May 2019 17:07:47
He does look good, has matured a lot.

3.) 20 May 2019 17:50:09
He’s added finishing to his game and decision making has improved too. I’d have him back tomorrow. But yeah, good point about Watford.

Won’t be cheap sadly.

4.) 20 May 2019 19:20:29
Would rather him than Wilson.

5.) 20 May 2019 19:39:35
Is it matured or is it more that he has faith being shown in his abilities 🤷🏻‍♂️
Maybe a bit of both.

6.) 20 May 2019 21:25:00
Maybe it's because he doesn't spend half the game with his hands on his knees blowing out of his you know what.

7.) 22 May 2019 23:03:01
No chance we will sign Geri back, what a shame, yet another talent lost through showing a lack of faith in youth. I’m hoping things are different now, certainly appear to be; M&M seem to be fans of giving the young lads a go. Am worried about the Lookman situation though.

11 May 2019 11:28:45
I hope he rewards the 23s by giving a few a game. Bowler could start for me and maybe hornby up top we have nothing to play for really and they deserve it after the season the 2es had. Feeney on the bench also.

johny1989

1.) 11 May 2019 15:39:07
Ye agree sambou deserves ago.

2.) 11 May 2019 16:01:15
Bowler, Gibson and Sambou start with Feeney, Hornby and Gordon on bench. Lookman to start also.

3.) 11 May 2019 20:38:15
Sambou is going isn't he? . I could’ve sworn I read an article from Unsy a while ago saying how surprised he was that nobody wanted him on loan in Jan. especially as his contract is up in the summer and we don’t plan to renew it.

Maybe I misread it. Any info Ed?

{Ed025's Note - i have not heard anything to be honest sir loin mate..

4.) 12 May 2019 01:02:47
I seen other day saying they were in talks to renew it.

02 May 2019 12:45:45
Ed could u do me a massive favour please and let people know I am looking for kids of all abilities for my new footy team, kids currently in Yr 5 or 6 in school. The team is based in Huyton. If anyone knows any kids who want to play let me no thanks.

johny1989

27 Mar 2019 08:55:56
So many people talking about getting simms in the first team now, he's banging them in at u18 level yes but let's not put all kinds of pressure on the lad, he's not ready yet if he was first team. Ready he would start every fame for 23s would he not? He's behind sambou and hornby right now, let him develop at his own rate.

johny1989

1.) 27 Mar 2019 09:43:38
who knows how these youngster will perform when given the chance, there are plenty of young players that have been given the chance and proved they are the real deal. now is the time to give them the chance, forget europa league we don't need it at the moment.

2.) 27 Mar 2019 12:18:32
We've got nothing to play for so give the young ones a chance.

3.) 27 Mar 2019 12:43:25
Yes we should give one or two a chance you never know.

4.) 27 Mar 2019 14:06:11
If we do and we get hammered you will rip into them then. Leave the guys to learn their trade, and trust the management to know if and when they are ready.

5.) 27 Mar 2019 16:48:32
Good post Woburn.

6.) 27 Mar 2019 16:52:46
As with all young players they will come in and make a big impact (Lookman, Davies) but they cannot sustain it and their level drops off.
Its crazy the, give them a chance you never know it might work attitude. Its a recipe for disaster and has ruined many a young players progress.

Lookman was blooded too early and wasnt ready, next thing he wants to go to Germany where he will be in the first team. He's not ready and needs to be slowly introduced, then when he is ready he will be a better player for it.

I don't want to argue with u DC just think that's ridiculous statement, he's a young lad who needs to be playing and if playing a full season in Germany means he's gunna come back next year and be our starting right back then brilliant or he could flop massively and then we will know he's not good enough. Saying he should stay because a German team want him is ridiculous mate he needs the experience of being first choice for a year.

I think top 4s a push but in an around the top 6 isn't completely out ov reach with the teams u have mentioned not looking great but we won't be the only team thinking that, wolves and Leicester will both fancy there chances too.
