The big thing we miss from DCL is his ability to hold up play and bring in the onrushing mid field. So if he’s sidelined then this lad can fill in hopefully.

Right now given our situation I get a bit excited with almost any notion of a striker coming in. Let’s face it we were impotent for most of last season. Surely this season will be better?

I for one hope this kid see's this for the great opportunity it is. A chance to showcase your talent in the best league in the world. Surely he must be buzzing to be coming over here? He will have seen how passionate us fans are and how he'll get the support if he works hard.

Sure he will be ok. Not sure though why we have let a kid go permanently (simms) who scored more goals than this lad in an arguably harder division at a worse team. Same with letting cannon go on loan to replace with an unproven foreign player with no experience of English football and what looks like a poor goals record.
Scouts know a lot more than me though (although based on signings over last few years not sure that’s true! ) so will back them and him if he comes.
Being honest though was hoping for someone with more experience so can only hope the plan is for one more as we all know DCL isn’t reliable and maupay is terrible!

I think this guy is more the DCL mold dyche type player than Simms or cannon.

Simms didn't get picked over Maupay so that says enough about what the manager thought of him.

Only 19 this lad so I won't expect anything of any real value for a few years but as long as Maupay doesn't get a game I'll be happy.
