Sky saying us and Notts Forest have bean charged with breaking the FFP, here we go again.

I am going back to amateur and semi-pro the enjoyment has been sucked out.

Just saw that - honestly I'm naive on the actual dynamics involved in these FFP cases and see just what is reported in the media, but what is the difference in the stories that are being reported on? What separates Everton, Forest, Chelsea and City?

How is the league so quick to fast-track the cases of Everton and Forest and so slow in the other 2?

With 115 charges, the City case is probably very complex but would that not mean it would warrant more attention to be settled more quickly given the high profile nature of it?

Chelsea have not been charged, is there even a case to answer? Are the media just stirring things up?

Why though has Everton and Forest seen their cases seemingly fast-tracked and dealt with so quickly?

I just do not understand how these cases are prioritised and dealt with.

So the club are basically stating we are getting done twice for the same time period? This stinks both ways. Phuk FFP and it's rigged BS. Should have just gone into administration and wrote it all off. Sell the building site and stay put.

{Ed002's Note - You don’t understand the situation at all. I have repeatedly explained the situation with the wages and the problems the club has.}

I don't understand how the Premier league could allow City to have that many charges. Why didn't they start acting on them earlier when they only had a few.

{Ed002's Note - You don’t understand. I have explained this before.}

It's simple we have v poor legal representation. Other clubs have wrapped there situation up in technicalities. Business bible never admit liability regardless of situation. You employ a huge legal team when your dealing in 100s of millions to advise and guide you through these situations. Other clubs are getting away with murder purely because they're legal infrastructure makes ours look like amateurs.

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish. Another stupid and ignorant post.}

It's not rubbish we admitted liability. Hence why it was brought fwd. City have wrapped up there case it legal hurdles.

Ed I know the fans don't understand the financial situation of what goes on in the premier League but you can't blame some fans feeling like something sinister is going on looking from the outside in
Do you think it would be a good idea if the premier League made some type of statement that us football fans understand, just a thought.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t see how that would benefit anyone. Simple situation is if you spend 90% of your income on wages then this will keep happening. A couple of decent sales, reduce wages and look the the Free agent market for a couple of additions and it is the start of the road back..}

Seems to me we are all mostly saying what's in all the other medias including club statements. Not sure embarrassing is correct. Ill informed certainly but embarrassing seems passive aggressive to say the least. And your information is appreciated but it's never been spelt out so don't claim that you have "explained" I'm sure this will be met with a toys out of the pram response but if fans on a fan forum can't speculate it's pretty sad. I see nothing posted that hasn't been said by ex players ex chairman on talk sport or reported by the sports media.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained many times that any club who spends more than 90% of their turnover on wages are screwed financially.}

I don't often agree with Ed002 (in fact can't remember if) , mainly because of his acidic put downs. However what ED002 says is right. I would add that other Clubs saw us coming with an apparently rich owner, who for reasons known only to himself chose to ignore the advice of football people in preference for his own so-called advisors (here is another mug) . Stupid wages handed out on long contracts, the Government pissing off Moshri's Banker and the cake was welk on it's way to being burnt. Hope for the points to be converted for a transfer ban, sell a couple of value players and look to our youth and freebe's.

Thanks 02. Perhaps you can shed light on why the clubs own statement seems to question the er let's say double jeopardy of being done twice after already being done for this breach? This is what's confusing to me. Simply taking my baffudlement from the clubs own apparent stance.

{Ed002's Note - The club will not be punished twice for the same issue. The matter is that they have failed to resolve the issue by offsetting it against income/sales and have yet to overcome the excessive spending on wages.}

Surely a business is beholden to the Taxman, its' shareholders and creditors. Seems to me the Premiership who own no part of a business are inserting themselves into its' affairs. A points deduction (especially one of the current extent) can affect income. A transfer ban (incoming) encourages development from within. Isn't a ban far more sensible.

{Ed025's Note - im getting to the end of my tether now DFS, i would say sod the lot of them, dont even put a side out for the rest of the season and just accept relegation, its obvious thats what the Premier league wants, disrupt the whole league and put 2 fingers up to all the corrupt top brass, they can keep it for me and we start afresh next season in the championship..

So when does the hearing with the impartial committee take place so they can do what they are told and find us guilty.

{Ed025's Note - its being mooted that in will be around the end of March beginning of April ray, far too late and that will start the merry go round of clubs suing us again if we dont get relegated, lets do it for them, play Pickford up front with Tarks Jarrad Myko Patto and Seamus, a midfield of Beto DCL and Virginia, a back 1 of Dobbin and Onana in goal, lose all our games and dont even try..

Thanks again 02.
25 I'm all for that. Pull the plug and strike. It's beyond a joke now and a total ballsup.

{Ed025's Note - im just pissed off with the witch hunt now FBS, yes i know its all down to the club who have made an absolute horlicks of things but there seems no form of compromise or empathy for our club, sod the lot of them i say mate..

Play Stone and Woan on either flank :)

Quite a good team that Ed025. Just don't have keane up front because he can finish. Knowing our luck we will stay up and keane will finish on 61 league goals.

{Ed025's Note - thats the worry dentie, it would be fun to watch though mate.. :)

15 Jan 2024 20:44:19
Weird that you say this ed025. I have said exactly the same to my mates on WhatsApp almost word for word. I'm fed up with the premier league now. I actually think it's garbage. To add to your thoughts I would also refuse to play the replay against Palace. The ref will more than likely send pickford off for taking a goal kick.

{Ed025's Note - im just pissed off now Witty, i dont give a toss anymore mate and the sooner relegation comes the better..

15 Jan 2024 20:54:16
Seems like the powers that be are determined to relegate us. I'd go into administration and take relegation. I wouldn't even bother appealing this one, let's start playing the youngsters for the rest of the season as they'll be the ones playing next season in the championship.

20.) 15 Jan 2024
15 Jan 2024 21:27:09
The correct punishment would be to stop the club signing players not dock points. Docking points makes it more difficult to get back on track whilst a transfer ban on incomings helps bring the club back in line with P&S.
If a club gets relegated because of a points deduction and goes out of business it goes against the very thing P&S is trying to stop.
If a club gets relegated because of a transfer ban then that was an outcome that was inevitable anyway by staying in-line with P&S.

I agree Smit666. I don't think any of us are trying to lay the blame on anyone but Everton owner and Board (as I have been accused of) they messed up and owned up. The whole thing is a bag of nails.
