We look so so light it feels like typical everton they give it (beto) and take it away strip the numbers right down. If we don't get any more in it feels like a bad window.
1.) 01 Sep 2023 19:05:32
Agree fully but still feel we’re better than were started.
2.) 01 Sep 2023 19:06:59
Seriously how is it a bad window?
Fans have been moaning for ages about moving the so called deadwood on - we’ve had a massive cull of players that have contributed little to the team so not sure why fans now complaining with those players leaving.
We’ve needed a striker for ages, this window we’ve brought 2 in, one for the future and one for now - again not sure why fans complaining.
We’ve also brought in two decent attacking players in Harrison and danjuma - both who offer us more than players that have left - again not sure why fans complaining.
We’ve brought in the experience of Ashley young who offers cover at the back.
Personally think it’s been a far better window than the majority of us were expecting.
The squad may be thinner, however the quality of the squad is better now and those we’ve brought in genuinely appear to want to be with us, which can’t be said for some of those who have left or are leaving.
3.) 01 Sep 2023 19:21:01
Well said GD.
4.) 01 Sep 2023 19:21:48
Well said, under the financial restrictions we’ve found ourselves in, this window has been much better than I thought a few weeks back.
{Ed025's Note - the proof of the pudding will be i the eating Chakie, tomorrow is a massive game and we may know more after that mate..
5.) 01 Sep 2023 19:40:57
The players we bought in look stronger than the players they’re replacing but only time will tell. We are much weaker in defence after losing Mina and Coady. Our 2 best centre halfs are, 1 still learning his trade and 1 that has spent his career fighting relegation battles. If either them get injured then Keane will come in, the only compliment I can give Keane is that he’s better than Godfrey. Our left back and right back both don’t look up to premier league standard so we’ll be relying on Coleman and Young whos age together must be well over 70 ?.
{Ed025's Note - but we can have Garner and McNeil playing full backs if needed even though that might weaken us in midfield Joe..
6.) 01 Sep 2023 19:50:04
We've signed 4 players who will all get in the first 11 and lost 12 of which none would have played much football.
7.) 01 Sep 2023 21:01:46
If tarks gets injured what happens? We have no creative influence in midfield. Left back very concerning. We got a striker which is epic but reality check fron the outside no emotions involved We are light . We left this far to late.
{Ed025's Note - only time will tell i suppose mate..
8.) 01 Sep 2023 22:19:52
Time will tell but Dyche also needs to have clearer vision.
9.) 01 Sep 2023 22:49:27
As for Keane better than Godfrey, that is cobblers.
{Ed025's Note - both as bad as each other for me..
10.) 01 Sep 2023 23:41:44
Absolute rubbish the pair of them.
Clear we are shopping in the basement bargain section. Was it a good window? Think OK. Got some utter rubbish out of the squad. Beto looks real quality and exactly what we need.
28 Jul 2022 09:59:48
If the current transfer completions are any hint of what coming next I can see Harry winks coming in next . ffs.
1.) 28 Jul 2022 10:46:09
If he comes he comes, just get behind the lad, .
2.) 28 Jul 2022 10:46:16
Come on mate, at least have the decency to wait till they've signed before you start calling them crap.
3.) 28 Jul 2022 11:00:20
I’d take anyone that wants to come and play for us in a reasonable wage.
If that’s Harry winks then that’s fine by me.
Looking at recruitment we appear to finally have a plan in players that are young can improve and have the potential for resale value.
4.) 28 Jul 2022 11:46:50
Remember Phil Neville and Gareth Barry signing for us? Played who were no good or past their best. They didn't do too bad for us. Honest grafters are what we need and if Winks comes in, works his gonads off then that's fine by me. He didn't win his England caps by accident did he. Just fell out of favour at Spurs, yet still played a part for them last season.
5.) 28 Jul 2022 12:08:28
Think Winks would be ideal for us myself.
6.) 28 Jul 2022 12:50:43
He's better than what we have atm.
7.) 28 Jul 2022 13:07:06
The club trying to make "glamourus" signings in the early days of moshiri are what got us into this mess we are now in. Signing Rooney, Rodriguez, etc. ultimately did not do the club any favours and now we are decidedly un-glamourous as an attractive option for players to sign for. McNeil is unglamourous, but a good player and on my 22. In the Moyes era he might have been hailed as a Marqee signing. I think it is a great bit of business, considering what he does bring which is dedication, discipline and more unselfish service to DCL. If we sign Winks and he does the job well, then get behind him. I'd rather sign players with something to prove rather than use us as a stepping stone like Moise Kean, or see out their careers with a huge salary like so many others since Moshiri took over. If McNeil, Vinagre and so on represent the new order of transfer business under Frank, then I'm all for it.
8.) 28 Jul 2022 13:32:18
Bang on that. ?? ?.
9.) 28 Jul 2022 14:08:23
For every Phil Neville and Gareth Barry the here will always be a John Oster, John OKane, Darren Gibson, Richard ‘Next England Goalkeeper’ Wright, Fabian Delph, Theo Walcott, Aaron Lennon.
I just hope that we get some of the former than the latter as I know which of the x2 groups will far outweigh the other and it ain’t the ‘honest grafters’!
23 Jan 2022 16:43:51
Just to get away from all the negativity for a few mins have you all seen April's fixtures? ???? Waterford whispers couldn't have picked em jaysus ???.
22 Jan 2020 08:29:54
Subs and post match interview very poor. Ten days before next gane I think he said. Travesty to make those subs. You'll never get niasse to move if you keep giving him hope he won't leave. Until the first sub we looked bullet ptrof. In my opinion this is a disaster to fragile confidence 70 mins in it was a turning point. Walcott looked on it strikers clicked Bernard was magical Holgate great. I relay hope Carlo drooss the zonal stuff. Love Carlo he had an awful 20 mins we learn move on.
1.) 22 Jan 2020 09:10:11
They played well bluetallaght. Bernard was knackered so was Kean (MOM) . We are stuck with what we have playing staff and deserve where we are after the debacle of the last 3 years. Ancelloti has a lot of work to do on the pitch and Brands off the pitch. I suggest we let them get on with it.
2.) 22 Jan 2020 09:19:08
I thought we looked really good last night feel sick in the stomach we threw it away but that's football.
3.) 22 Jan 2020 09:38:02
thing with the subs is clear, we have no other options! bernard and kean were blowing what other changes could we have made? the niasse one will always puzzle me but we don't have any other strikers available but niasse.
4.) 22 Jan 2020 11:33:20
Why are these players knackered after 70 Mins, I could understand it if they were playing every match and were in their late thirties.
A lot comment on our neighbours scoring late goals, they have played more matches than any team, yet they go for the full 90 mins and beyond, yet you never see any of those blowing out of their backside after 70 Mins.
With no match this weekend, there was no excuse to make subs around the 70 min mark.
5.) 22 Jan 2020 12:14:26
Agree bignev. Most of their top players play every game, and to my eye they look to work harder and have higher intensity. Makes you wonder whether are lot are so unfit because they just don't really care and don't have the same drive to push themselves and succeed.
6.) 22 Jan 2020 12:41:03
I'm guessing they don't have the drive, and that going back is probably silvas fault we've looked knacked after the hour for ages, wouldn't worry too much about this season Ancelotti's work should be judged on next season. I'd imagine most changes will happen this summer.
02 Sep 2023 00:10:28
Personally I think he might work having a target man like beto to hit. I hope he's brought back in to the squad ASAP.
01 Sep 2023 20:16:08
We are very light that's the facts.
{Ed025's Note - its probably because we got rid of a lot of flotsam from the good ship Everton BT..
30 Aug 2023 14:02:07
Cornet has to be click bait or a smoke screen. Why would we take on someone with an injury record and minimal goals? For me he'd have to play a full season for us to before we take a risk. Plus his wages are high I'm guessing.
24 Aug 2023 20:28:43
Surely your all very aware there's no money this is purely bluff posturing to keep the fans off the clubs back. The club is in free fall the gray fee will remain undisclosed so when it disapears you no the rest. Expect more asset stripping.
20 Aug 2023 22:59:12
We have no tactical answers when things go wrong The new bread of manager takes chances literally has a play book. I think sitting back am hitting teams on the break is all we have. The modern manager can adapt to that instantly. Emery just needed to watch how poor fulham where and do the opposite to make us look like school boys. What's worse than that result today was the fact any decent manager will no how to counter our counter play. We didn't even look like scoring till the game was over. Its such a shame we don't capitalise on Graham potters downfall at Chelsea and get him before he realises a strong side would take him. Or drug him and get him to take our sorry asses. We would have a manager who would end all the sporadic bi polar transfer rumours and look at certain type of player who can work his system. I keep hearing we are looking at strikers who can fit our system like DCL. He's done nothing in a long time and do we even know what system that is. Today was shocking and Fulham looked absolutely clueless. Villa are a half decent side but the top ten are all strong we are going to be murdered this year.
18 Aug 2024 12:22:51
Keane is never the answer he wakes up this morning to fans on him again. Holgate aswell as well, you got to feel for them both. They should not be put in that position by the manager they they lack the ability at this level.
Dyche needs to play the best 11 regardless of experience. The two lads named have proved time and time again they are not premier league.
As for young everyone knows at 39 he is just collecting a wage. He's been exposed all last season but we make charity payments to him weekly. you can't just fill a squad with bodies they need to be of a certain standard . Young has no business on a top flight football pitch.
18 Mar 2024 14:39:37
Paul McGrath and he didn't need to train either was quality.
15 Jan 2024 17:58:26
It's not rubbish we admitted liability. Hence why it was brought fwd. City have wrapped up there case it legal hurdles.
15 Jan 2024 17:32:06
It's simple we have v poor legal representation. Other clubs have wrapped there situation up in technicalities. Business bible never admit liability regardless of situation. You employ a huge legal team when your dealing in 100s of millions to advise and guide you through these situations. Other clubs are getting away with murder purely because they're legal infrastructure makes ours look like amateurs.
{Ed002's Note - Rubbish. Another stupid and ignorant post.}
30 Sep 2023 20:33:11
We started on the front foot I'm not sure how we didn't score two inside 15 mins. The corners are so weird why do we pack our own 6 yard and leave so many free players on the 18 coming in. We are a very tall team set pieces should be easy to defend.
