Ed002, any inklings on what Dele Ali will do upon the expiration of his contract with Everton? I've heard it mooted that the clauses which would have triggered additional payments to Spurs will remain in place if he signs another contract with Everton as a free agent.

{Ed002's Note - He will stay at Everton and get his fitness back then will look to what his options are. Everton will continue to try and avoid paying Everton any more money - but rejected an opportunity at a cheap and easy solution late last year.}

I’ve heard that another 7 games and I believe it’s £10m payment due as I have heard that’s why the club have said he can continue his rehabilitation at finch farm so the club can monitor his progress and potentially offer him another contract. If this happens hopefully he will rediscover his previous form definitely one to watch.

If they offer him another contract Sean, then they have learnt nothing. We should cut our loses and look elsewhere.

Got to move away from these once we’re players. Cost us a fortune and offered nothing. Move on.

Selling the stadium to investors seems like just about the stupidest thing the club could do, it's the new stadium and all it's potential income that led the club down the precarious financial path it has taken, to sell it just to cover the debt it mostly incurred is ridiculous, and totally the opposite outcome it was supposed to produce. In the event the club does sell it, do you really think a investment group is going to agree to reasonable lease deal? The vultures will be circling, even as I'm writing this I'm asking questions if why would anyone other than EFC want to own the stadium? What can it be used for frequently enough to generate the income required to buy it? I'm pretty sure there are restrictions in place about how many concerts can he held there, and certainly no demand for that in the winter anyway, without a football team playing season after season there, how could anyone utilise it regularly?

Wild blue yonder

{Ed002's Note - It would be sold with a long-term lease agreement in place.}

1.) 21 Jul 2024 09:45:34
Hypothetically speaking Ed002, what do you think would be a reasonable asking price for the stadium? Plus in the event the current everton owner did go down that path, it would basically wipe out any chance Moshiri had of selling his stake in the club, in my opinion the only reason there is any interest in owning EFC at all is because of the stadium.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody will be buying Everton just to own the stadium. Right now Everton would not recover the full cost of the monies spent on the stadium if it were sold.}

2.) 21 Jul 2024 11:07:29
Didn't Coventry do something like this? Then fell out with the owners and became the travellers of the football league.

3.) 21 Jul 2024 11:30:14
would selling the stadium wipe out all our debts?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

4.) 21 Jul 2024 13:42:48
Then don’t sell it. Need to renegotiate the debt or just don’t answer the door when the debt collectors come a knocking.

With Safety from the drop secured, would administration solve any of our problems in terms of attracting an alternative to 777?

Wild blue yonder

1.) 28 Apr 2024 13:07:03
Administration cannot be seen as an option.

2.) 28 Apr 2024 14:20:25
Not certain from who but I read a comment that if it were going to happen it would have been earlier in our predicament.

Anyone read Kevin Mirallas interview is regards to his time at everton? I know he's polarising figure with what he did to Baines over that penalty against West Brom, but that aside I thought he was the best 1vs1 finisher we've had at the club in a longtime, he was much better in those situations than Lukaku.

Yeah I stopped one line after the headline.
Something like " I was crying and didn't want to go there" then the first line read he'd spent 6 years at the club. I bet he was crying when he left. 6 years? I'm sure he signed 2 extensions. If the writers angle is to be correct (and not trash Google translate sh9t stirring) then Bill must have kidnapped his family and held a gun to his head and threw him a box of cleanex to wipe his sniffles.

I liked him and thought he was a good player on his day. We were definitely the high water mark for his career.

His son had been born in Greece a month before. His agent got him the move it was wet and cold and he said get me out of here. He became a fan favourite and loved his time on Merseyside I loved kev ??.

3.) 12 Nov 2023 10:21:16
I liked him as a player when he was having ego free moments quite classy in fact, the Baines pen. thing was a defining rubicon moment for me, meaning after that I wasn't as much of a fan as I used to be.

Lots of media hysteria regarding the possible outcomes of the independent hearing. A quick read through of the articles and you quickly notice that words "could" and "might" are doing a lot of heavy lifting.

What's the deal. with Jack Harrison? Have we got an option to buy him?

Wild blue yonder

Just a straight forward loan mate, no obligation to buy or any fee agreed.

He was improved. but the set up last season suited him, namely the fact we spent the majority of games with very little possession and an emphasis on defending, which suited Mykolenko's abilities. not a criticism, just an observation, I seem him struggling next season if Dyche tries to tweak the way we play in the event of new players coming in, I think Ndiaye in particular will be a signing that encourages a more attacking style, full backs will be expected to contribute a bit more going forward, the differing fortunes of Myko and Patterson are indicative of how we set up last season.

Anyone saying "get rid" of DCL needs their head testing, he's a CF who with the right service is easily a 15 goal a season striker, any money we recieved for him won't even amount to half the money required to but a CF of the same standard.

Wild blue yonder

{Ed002's Note - Dominic Calvert-Lewin (S) The second player tapped up by Steven Gerrard. The summer will be a decision point for the player who will be another the club are willing to sell in order to raise funds to avoid a third charge. Newcastle, Brentford and West Ham offer options with Newcastle pressing to sign him to replace Callum Wilson. Manchester United offer a wildcard option.

Everton are actively working on finding a replacement.}

George downing and Andy Bell, I hear George has shares in 777 and has been trying to off load them for a while now, Downing is trying to put together a group to buy Moshirs shares.

It's not the EPLs job to decide who FM sells the club to, it's their job to make sure the buyers are responsible and and competent enough to run a huge institution, they've done right by all us Evertonians in establishing that these 777 charlatans are most undesirable custodians of the club.

Scratch that, Gray has posted a dig at Sean Dyche on social media. I'd say that relationship is irretrievably broken down now.

Agreed, Mykolenko is a level beneath what we need, Patterson is a worry and surely uta not just that think whenever Keane starts. every player around him looks worse than they did when he wasn't there, he's shocking. but even more shocking than that, he's been at the club for 6 years! How? How?
