Don’t see it happening myself. Think City have a big enough squad to cope or will snap up some other youngster for £20m to fill the gap.
If they do go for him and we can get a decent replacement then I’m all for it. Think Dom is starting to burn bridges with the fans after all the hassle he’s had.

Not only has one of the Ed’s on numerous occasions said swap deals rarely if ever happen.
Kalvin Phillips is on approx £150k per week and we’re not willing to pay DCL £135k per week. So from a wage point of view can’t see it happening.
DCL a striker so if goes need a striker in place not a midfielder.
DCL also classed as homegrown so need to sell him to fully benefit from a psr point of view.
Kalvin Phillips is too much of a risk as a signing need a loan to see if can get him decent again as little risk involved then.

Gingerdan, from a PSR point of view the swap would be recorded as a sale and buy in the books. Eg, DCL would be recorded as a sale of say £20m and then Phillips a purchase of £20m. There are a lot of complications with swap deals with the potential to artificially inflate the value of players being swapped (think Juve had this issue? ) , as Everton or City could theoretically say they value DCL and Philips at £100m each and that value (profit) would go into the books. As such clubs tend to avoid actual swaps and do separate deals.

If Mykolenko got injured he would play Young at LB he seems to like O'brien at RB currently and Patterson is fit with Keane and Coleman when fit so don't see us signing any defender's. Lindstrom Garner Armstrong idrissa Doucoure Harrison with Tim back training leaving Ndiaye Beto up top with Chermiti not far away and nothing been said about how long DCL is out for. i hope we get a forward and a winger who can operate on either flank or is DM going to blood a few youngsters who SD wouldn't give the time of day. We need something because a couple more injuries and we could be in the rubbish. i'm going for a 3.2 win COYB'S. Don't we just love Deadline day ?????.

Hopefully we can do a deal to send both Mangala and Broja back (if they are both out till the end of the season) and bring in a domestic loan and two non-domestic. If we can get the loans sorted anything else would be a bonus in my opinion. I can't see the club wanting to spend vast amounts during this window when we can have a complete reset of the financials with the a fair few of the existing 1st team squad being out of contract in the summer.

Any updates on mangala and DcL? Great 3 points yesterday and the table is looking a lot better now and another win brings spurs westham and Utd back into it pending results today. think we will get a couple of signings in this week but God knows who. Definatly need a forward if DCL is out long term Beto isn't good enough.

Just been reading ndiayes comments about Moyes and how he has got what he wants over to the players pretty quick and that they are all on the same page now. i know it's early days and I'm not getting ahead of myself but what was dyche doing for 2 years changing narratives and all the other bollox. i'm just glad that these players showed they can actually play abit when aloud to attack and not be negative all the time. all be it against a poor spurs team but you can only beat who is put in front of you and i thought the lads were brilliant from the dross we have been watching. Hopefully on the up now bring them on?????.

What annoys me more than anything is when we played negative, dyche was always saying he wanted us to play better football, Moyes has played 2 games and we are playing better already, just shows it was dyche and his tactics that have caused all of this, yes it's only 2 games, but it's there in black and white, we may or may not go up or down but the football is a lot better to watch, and guess what we score 3 goals and won, who would of guessed it.

I think SD had his eye firmly fixed on clean sheets, and it caused his downfall, whereas DM has is eyes fixed on gaining the all valuable points, that for me has been the difference. So far so good.

Massive over haul coming are way in the summer and I can't wait for it. hopefully get some young and some with experience and a good pre season to bed them in whoever we bring in there will be some bargains around come summer I'm imagining and won't be paying stupid money for average players like we have done in the past.
