Hello all, I couldn't bring myself to write anything yesterday as I was to distraught. It is like having a jail sentence and everytime we are set for release they increase the sentence.

Ed, can I ask, how do you see this playing out? I understand that TFG pulled out of talks to buy Roma and then came back in months later to buy the club.
There has to be an end to this crap, why does it have to be so dificult to get a competent owner.

ScottishToffee95

{Ed002's Note - The problem Friedkin has with the Everton debt is that it inludes monies owed to 777 Partners (circa £220M) via loans and a very significant debt to Moshiri (circa £450M) via shareholder loans. This is in addition to the monies owed to Metro Band and Rights & Media Publishing. There is limited money coming in and Friedkin has already loaned the club £200M to pay off the critical MSP Sports Capital debt and to allow work to continue on the stadium. Friedkin could come back in to the picture if there were additional investors willing to share the risk. One solution would be to sell the Bramley Moore Dock development to investors who could complete the work and then lease it back to the club.}

1.) 20 Jul 2024 13:18:55
Ed, surely that would then make the benefits of having built a brand new stadium redundant.

We are a joke of a club.

I am not even upset by it anymore.

When I read the news, I sat back in my seat and laughed whilst shaking my head. It’s like an abusive relationship, in the end, it is just business as usual.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is a means to keep the club afloat and an attempt to avoid Administration.}

2.) 20 Jul 2024 19:16:51
Surely they knew all the problems when they first bid.

{Ed025's Note - things change as people start to get greedy Chris..

3.) 20 Jul 2024 15:55:08
Thanks for the reply Ed. I would imagine some due diligence was done previous to entering into negotiations.
Naively I struggle to see how they wouldn't have anticipated this before entering into talks.

Well one saving grace is on the pitch we are the most sable we have been for ages and hopefully with a few more in the door we can keep away from relegation and at least enjoy some moments in our last season at Goodison.

{Ed002's Note - Due diligence starts with full access to the accounts.}

4.) 20 Jul 2024 21:36:00
Sorry state of affairs, ed002 can you have a root down back of sofa and save us haha.

I wonder what is going to happen tomorrow with the end of the exclusivity agreement with 777.
Will we get an announcement about alterantive buyers or just a wall of silence?

I really hope they (moshiri/ msp) have something up their sleave because all this speculation about sales, takeovers and players leaving is doing my head in.

ScottishToffee95

{Ed025's Note - i think its doing all our heads in ST..

In the past i'd get frustrated with Moyes moving slow in the transfer window, but what i'd for that stability now.

I just saw The Friedkin Group are very close to a takeover.

If, IF this happens I am going to be over the moon, finally we can beleive again. Plenty time to turn things around and be in a much better place for BMD.

We have a good enough squad, I haven't been bothered by Dyche until this season purely because I felt before he didn't have many options to change it up, but this season and his insistence on Keane and shocking subs have lost my support in him.

But with TFG, we can actúally recruit a great, progressive coach and most importantly we can get behind the team as one, all pulling in the same dirección and hopefully back to the top on English footie.

Hey is it madness to think we could do some sort of deal with Brentford to swap DCL for Toney?
As both are out of contract and want to leave.

I would have thought Toney was out of our reach not that long ago now but it seems no one is going in for him and we are in a better place.

Thoughts?

ScottishToffee95

1.) 01 Aug 2024 17:34:51
Well he’s worth a punt, apparently.

2.) 01 Aug 2024 17:36:58
Definitely a good shout and not 1 I'd realistically thought about.

Chuck Maupay in too.

Tho there record signing Igor Thiago is out til New Year and he was brought in as Toneys replacement so might put end to that.

Be a top signing though if did
?.

3.) 01 Aug 2024 17:41:08
Toney would want £150.000 a week and I don't think he likes us very much from some comments he has made when we have played brentford. class finisher cool and calm but is very arrogant if you ask me and i would steer clear of him sulks to much.

4.) 01 Aug 2024 18:41:44
We had a player like that before Ron. Think Lukaku was his name.

5.) 01 Aug 2024 19:23:10
Toney hates us. He’s said he’s been racially abused at Goodison more than once. There is no way I see him signing for us.

6.) 01 Aug 2024 20:01:54
Toney isn't in the same league as LUKAKU was for us BB. don't get me wrong he is decent just not an Everton player for me. He thought arsenal were going buy him but was overpriced and would hardly score for us as we never get penaltys lol. i would bet on him scoring 1 though as he would himself ????.

7.) 01 Aug 2024 21:04:53
I didn't realise he didn't like us. Just popped into my mind like as we have the same problem they do with our want away striker. Did think his wage demands might be too much. I hope Beto or Chermitti really step up this season, as we can't go on not scoring goals.

13 Jul 2024 16:51:22
I am not too fussed about Onana going for 50m, I don't think we were getting that type of value from his performances. I just hope we can bring a few in also.

Does anyone know why the DCL move broke down specifically?

I heard online it was over personal terms, presumably wages. Just seems a shame as £37mil for DCL with a year left is excellent business for us, in my opinion.

ScottishToffee95

1.) 13 Jul 2024 17:04:09
I read he wants more than £130.000 a week ?‍♂️.

2.) 13 Jul 2024 18:37:43
In a good side he will.

3.) 13 Jul 2024 23:40:50
In a good side he will what?

05 May 2024 16:31:44
With redards to 777, I am now becoming really worried about this lot and our club. The fact that the premier league are still open to the idea of them buying us if frightening. What the fuxx is the point in having a deadline, not meeting it then extending it, defeats the purpose.

There has to be some sort of fan demonstration at the ground or outside the PL hq, to bring more attention to this and stop it.

Either Moshiri is in on this or
absolutely blind to their schemes.
They are some of the worst owners
he could of found.

Just say a prayer these robbers get rejected imminently.

ScottishToffee95

1.) 05 May 2024 17:55:58
Agree totally. From bbc today “ Everton's prospective owners 777 Partners and the firm's co-owner Josh Wander have been accused of a "fraudulent scheme" by a lender in a civil court filing in New York.
Everton is the latest shiny object of Wander’s fraudulent scheme, solvency aside. ”
"Upon information and belief, Wander and [co-owner Steven] Pasko are operating a giant shell game at best, and an outright Ponzi scheme at worst, that takes money in from investors and lenders and shuffles it around to various money-losing alter egos in the enterprise to disguise their true financial condition. “
It will be out the frying pan into the sh1t….

2.) 05 May 2024 21:08:24
Who is going to come and save us from this nightmare?

3.) 05 May 2024 21:48:45
I worry we will be stuck with 777 BR23. That, or a late saviour who will run us on a shoestring. I think it's the demise of a once great club.

4.) 06 May 2024 11:08:26
Maybe Warner had no intention of buying us, and just wanted a free seat to the match each game.

5.) 06 May 2024 15:02:44
One point is do we actually think our director / owner will. do the right thing for Everton football club, I personally don't get any of this, he jas to be the biggest loser in football, clueless and has he covered a lot of wrong doings, now he's waiting and waiting for what only seems a bunch of unprofessional loan sharks who are ripping everyone off , yet our owner still only wants to sell. to them, i find it all very suspicious, shy not pay off the loan out of his own money and then find another buyer with a good track record.

{Ed025's Note - far too sensible an idea that BP mate..

25 Apr 2024 02:28:47
Well that was the best i've felt for ages as an Evertonian. Absolutely class performance from everyone, first win at Goodison in 14 years, stopping them, a nice farewell for Jurgen.

Absolutely buzzing. Finished work 2pm (colombia time) thinking about the game all day, dreaming we could scab a point off them, one more win and safe. And then we go and put in a performance like that, chuffed to bits.

Thought DCL was fantastic all night and bossed Van Dijk and Konate. Got to mention Godfrey also who I thought didn't put a foot wrong all game.

You have to give the gaffer credita after that, 3 wins, three clean sheets. First win at Goodison over them in donkeys. get in!

ScottishToffee95

1.) 25 Apr 2024 07:10:16
Was a fantastic win mate but we need to go again at home against brentford Saturday if we can somehow beat them and luton loose am i right we are safe can only apologise if wrong.

2.) 25 Apr 2024 15:18:56
Yeah I think a win against Brentford seals it, and we would go above them. I just hope the takeover stuff calms done, I have this romantic idea some other group will come in and run us properly, 666 give me the fear big time. But then again so does Moshiri.

Fro the first time in a long time, it feels like we are actually an attractive outfit now.

Dyche's style of footie is not for everyone but at least players know exactly what they are signing up for.

What I want to see is wingers with real pace in the team, like that lad from Hull. I think that would really help us score more goals.

With that stunning piece of architecture at Bramley Moore dock soon to be our home, we are on the up lads and lassies!

ScottishToffee95

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so Scottish mate..

Apologies gb, its everywhere now I looked! Got excited as I am also a big Celtic fan and O'riley is great and still young. One of the things that shows a Celtic players real ability is how they fair in the UCL and he has been immense. Would bring some much needed quality in the final 3rd and goals. Can play CM or AMC, great attitude also.

Minteh was £7mil last summer, so we should be after another player who is under the radar not £33mil for him, in my humble opinion.

Hahaha its easily done. It is incredibly frustrating watching the club you love make bad decision after bad decision. and get payed millions to do it. Here's hoping for some more positive times ahead.

Cant see anything change until the ownership does. Moshiri doesn't give a fxxk. The more I have read about Textor the more I think he is not great for us either. I am praying there is an end to this torture soon, as I am not sure I can take much more of it.

Can't see it being extended Nick, his remit is help us survive. Surely to god when we are in a better place, ie next summer, we appoint a new manager and start a fresh.

Loads of people are out of contract so we can have a proper rebuild, and get back to being a decent Everton side.
