Links to Nicholas Jackson today. Price being quoted is ridiculous. Would rather us take a look at a more unknown from that league at a more sensible price.

Tim Lemperle from Hoffenheim. The German Big Dunc.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Dec 2025 08:03:23
Not heard of lemperle BN so will take your word on him. Jackson is a big no for me sulks to much but was compared to Drogba a few seasons back. i wonder if we will do whatever business we are planning early or wait till deadline day. i like muniz at Fulham but think he is injured.

23 Dec 2025 08:48:37
Jackson went to Bayern knowingly as backup to Kane, so I don't think the link rumour comes from Bayern. I reckon yeah we should be looking elsewhere.

23 Dec 2025 08:50:29
I’ve had enough of unknown strikers. Didn’t know Beto or Barry and look where that got us. Let’s buy someone that we know can score goals in the Premier League. Jackson would be a massive upgrade but I can’t see it.

23 Dec 2025 14:35:20
6ft 2, big and strong German lad Ron. Great in the air and seems one that the fans would enjoy.

Problem with Muniz is that they would want a serious amount of cash for him. Have seen links to Stran Larsen appear again this week. He again wouldn't come cheap, especially given their current situation/position.

Understand what you mean JB but there aren't many of them available mate, especially in Jan. Would get our pants pulled down on the price. I think there are definitely unknown strikers out there. As soon as I saw Barry I didn't see what the appeal was but what do I know. Mr Lemperle for example seems to have the fundamentals down - First touch, physicality, dynamism and hunger.

23 Dec 2025 15:27:19
Probably end up with Tammy abraham not seen him linked for a while. Is he still at Roma?

{Ed025's Note - yes he is Ron but on loan to Besiktas at the moment mate..

23 Dec 2025 15:54:42
Cheers Ed ?.

23 Dec 2025 16:20:17
Senegal 2 (Jackson) Botswana 0.

22 Dec 2025 21:31:50
So Fulham get a penalty for the same thing that we don’t get a penalty for. Same old s**t.

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen it yet JB but a guy on the Liverpool page has just said exactly the same thing mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Dec 2025 21:45:43
Always been the same, refs don’t have the balls to call the big decisions against the so called top teams. Maybe if you get 5 apology letters from the PGMOL in a season you get a bonus point?

22 Dec 2025 21:11:52
Why did we let Anthony Robinson go he's class, having a blinder against Forest.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Dec 2025 15:54:37
Think he was behind Bainsey mate so not getting any game time.

I'm actually hoping young Dibling starts against Burnley as mcneil showed he is definitely not a right winger and that way we can see what the lad can do but no doubt DM will have other ideas hope Garner and myko both don't get booked because he will have to play anzou at LB against Forest. didn't actually realise how thread bare are squad actually is. and throwing this out there i would start beto. i have watched barry a lot and he isn't ready for me yes he has improved but he loses the physical battles all the time and the headers he wins go out of play or to the opposition i get strikers need service but they have to make intelligent runs aswell.

zubimendi is slow and caught barry the other night fairshout I thought it was a freekick on the edge of the box which we got nothing. But just shows barry hasn't even got pace.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Dec 2025 12:30:21
Never solved RW, RB, Striker for years. Remember ED002 saying every window 'another left winger' when we bought.

22 Dec 2025 13:53:52
Spot on there Ron. I thought that was supposed to be the strongest part of his game. He even said that is a similarity he shares with Mbappe - straight from the horses mouth.

22 Dec 2025 15:36:31
Give Aznou a start as well. The kids will need time in some games. If not start, bring them on for at least 20 mins in the second half.

It’s a squad game nowadays but Moyes has his favourites / doesn’t seem to like playing certain players. I would like him to take a risk and at least try some of them against Wolves at home. Maybe even Brentford. If they get game time at Burnley and Forest, think that would be a good build up to the Wolves game for them.

22 Dec 2025 18:45:01
Just bring them on! How about if we are 2 or 3 nil up.

22 Dec 2025 19:37:23
Was amazed he didn’t do it when we were 2-0 up against Forest and fully in control. Left if until they started to get back into the game and then waited a further 10 mins.

21 Dec 2025 21:54:27
So it would seem it is all Diblings fault we lost to Arsenal? All the “experts” on here have decided the lad is rubbish and he's the worst signing we have ever made. Yet no mention of O’Brien’s ridiculous handball, or the fact the midfield (all experienced) players did sod all.

No let’s just pick on a young lad who the club decided was worth forty mill plus, like it’s his fault.
Still it gives Barry, Beto and Micky a break I suppose.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think you are listening to the debate BMD, i dont know how many times i have to say this mate...nobody is blaming Tyler, they are blaming our recruitment team for buying a player who is just not ready to play in the prem just yet, a lot of us think the money could have been spent wiser for a player who is ready..

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Dec 2025 22:31:13
Totally agree with the last point Ed and think the money could have been put to use more wisely but can't agree that he isn't ready to play in the PL. His performances against Liverpool and United last season alone showed me otherwise. If he was used better from the start, he could have carried on with the confidence he built up from the previous season and we would already be seeing a different player. Instead we have a player who's confidence has been decimated.

Players, managers, pundits all spoke highly of him last season, you don't just fall off from that imo.

When Dibling started against Palace, which was all but forced on Moyes due to KDH being suspended, it ended a run of 185 PL games where Moyes had failed to start a teenager in the first 11. Moyes clearly has issues trusting youth which makes the signing of Dibling all the more confusing. When you have the likes of Grealish and Ndiaye to choose from, I get it but he still could have found more minutes to better-integrate Dibling into this team.

As for picking McNeil ahead of him, a player Moyes has clearly already made his mind up on, a player we have seen the best of already and to then play him out of position, where we have seen him fail to deliver time and time again is just a terrible decision. Dibling may not be the second coming of Kanchelskis but he is definitely a better option than McNeil in Nidayes absence.

{Ed025's Note - i agree on a lot of those points BN especially Moyes,s reluctance to use younger players and his penchant for older heads, i must admit i did not see much of him last season to form an opinion on him but the fact is mate that in all his wisdom Moyes just wont play him unless its a last resort...so while we have this manager at the helm Tyler is neither use nor ornament im afraid..

21 Dec 2025 22:31:33
Probably a decent striker would have been a better option. There is clearly Something about Dibling that Moyes doesn't fancy.

22 Dec 2025 06:13:02
Last Season Bluenose, he had the occasional fair game so did our very own McNeil, Beto, even Dyche. Southampton couldn't snatch our hand off quick enough this season. We go on about our coaches/managers seeing players in training and deciding on whether ready or not, including Ancelloti (his son in particular) decisions, but they are the ones employed.

I have watched the Lad and have no clue why he was brought in on the game time seen, unless of course the deal was before we got Grealish (Ndiaye on the left Dibling right) .

22 Dec 2025 11:39:33
It’s not Dibling’s fault we lost to Arsenal BMD. It’s also not his fault we spent a stupid amount of money on him. It’s also not his fault the price tag has raised expectations of him.

If we had paid £10-15m for the kid to sit on the bench as a prospect then no one would be questioning his purchase. We’d still be asking why we haven’t bought a striker, RB or RW… the difference would be we’d still have some money in the kitty to buy them.

Instead, we’ve basically spent a small fortune on potential when we need players who can start games. Influence games. Do so much more than warm the bench. We’re in the top half of the table at Christmas so I’m delighted. However, without Ndiaye, Gana and a few choice injuries, our season could easily derail without depth in the squad.

I’m just counting the points we need to get to 40 and hoping we can continue the rebuild in the summer.

{Ed025's Note - spot on for me BR..

22 Dec 2025 12:32:46
Not top half ? just saying.

22 Dec 2025 13:08:47
Most people would say 10th is top half DMS.

22 Dec 2025 14:39:48
It might depend on your outlook on life JB and weather you are a glass half full or empty person.

Personally, I consider us rooted to the bottom of the top half….

22 Dec 2025 15:14:48
Top 10 is top half. We’re 10th. All the chat aside, if we’d been offered 10th after 17 games with a win at Old Trafford and a win against Dyche, we’d all have taken it. Have to hole that we can continue to invest in January, and push on from here, one or two results go our way and 7th is possible.

22 Dec 2025 15:46:43
I would take finishing 10th or above. There is no 9.5 position I guess.

21 Dec 2025 15:40:34
I know it's always easy to be wise with the benefit of hindsight, but whoever artherised the 42 million purchase of Dibling, deserves his P45.
Yes, one day the boy my turn out to be a real player, but as things stand, he is miles off meeting the standard of a premiership player. A speculife punt on a young player, who may turn out to be a top player, givern time, is fine, but only if your talking about 3/5 million, as things stand, we have a better player piling his trade, with Accrington Stanley.

There has been a lot of talk about recalling Armstrong, but do we have the same option to recall Heath ?

Agree6 Disagree0

21 Dec 2025 17:34:07
So you don't want to play a young man who has hardly any game time, but you want to play a young man who is playing for a team 17th in division two?

21 Dec 2025 19:19:59
This Dibling lad is nowhere the standard. Southampton didn't want him and no other Club other than us would pay the money. Of course we have seen Dibling, latest was his 20 mins against an Arsenal side in 3rd gear. Put him in the reserves for a few games or bring back Armstrong and loan Dibling out 'for game time'.

21 Dec 2025 19:24:00
Why has Dibling not been given a few U21 games to keep up to speed with competitive football. Paul Scholes reckons we got a fantastic player in Dibling and he's a pretty good judge of a footballer.

Hard to judge the kid by his involvement in 5 to 10 mins of a game. No chance to get into the game. Players need consistency, not 10 mins here and there.

21 Dec 2025 21:36:50
I give up with them dentielad. They’ve made their minds up based on nothing. It’s like it’s his fault we paid so much for him.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone is blaming Tyler BMD, its our recruitment team thats the problem mate..

22 Dec 2025 05:05:54
I read that Dibbling played some minutes for Southhampton so we can't loan him out this season?

22 Dec 2025 12:34:02
Oh yeah.

22 Dec 2025 20:43:40
Yeah that was my post BlueMike. It says in report on Google that Dibling going to Preston on loan in January. They maybe need to fully check before writing articles lol.

21 Dec 2025 15:00:43
Moyes said that McNeil got the start last night because he is an experienced player. Experienced or not, if when a player gets on the pitch and shows nothing, what benefit does having experience give.

22 touches, 0 successful dribbles, 0 successful crosses, 10 passes, 0 duels won and lost possession 8 times.

If you are going to play him, at least play him on the left or in the 10.

People can slate Dibling and say he hasn't shown anything but he hasn't even had the opportunity to do so. Most of his minutes have come at the end of games that are already over and are predominantly against the elite teams in the league, other than one start against Palace where they absolutely battered us in the 1st half and every single Everton player was dreadful, bar Pickford.

4 minutes away at Anfield.
9 v West Ham.
4 away at City.
10 against Newcastle 3 goals down.
4 against Forest.
6 against Chelsea.

Forward players thrive off rhythm and confidence and he has had no opportunity to build up either. I agree that when he has come on, he hasn't shown the best effort, urgency or attitude but the lad looks dejected and he is being asked to come on against the leagues best teams when the game is already over, watching players like Dwight McNeil get a start over him.

It would p*** me off too watching a player doing absolutely nothing to warrant staying on the pitch and waiting to get on. The kid is 19 and it is not his fault that we went and chucked 40m on him to sign him without any intention of backing him or at least handling his bedding in period better. Moyes or his staff have done absolutely nothing to help him.

I have no issues that he is not starting ahead of Ndiaye, he is after all our best player but there have been plenty of opportunities to give him more minutes and give him the platform to build up some confidence. The way he has been handled is s***e, simple as that.

I hope he goes on loan and gets playing football again.

Plenty more players that should be getting called out ahead of Dibling and at least they have had the opportunity to show what they can do on a more consistent basis.

{Ed025's Note - but Moyes must see him day in day out BN and deems him not worth a start or even more minutes, we did pay a hell of a lot for him considering his age and ability, even when he has come on he has looked lethargic and out of his depth imo mate, of course i want him to succeed and i know he is very young and probably struggling to adapt but i cant help thinking our recruitment team have once again lumbered us with a duffer..

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Dec 2025 15:30:27
Talk of him going to Preston on loan mate.

{Ed025's Note - for me thats an admission that he is not ready and needs to go into the championship to find his feet GB, hence why i think the fee we paid was extortionate and shows the lack of due diligence carried out mate...either that or some very large brown envelopes have been bandied around..

21 Dec 2025 15:59:32
To be fair Ed Davey has always said he’d use Dibling sparingly and is one for the future, does seem a hell of a lot of cash to then loan him out mate.

{Ed025's Note - its a massive gamble though GB..

21 Dec 2025 19:23:03
Good GB, I just said loan. Bring back Armstrong loan Dibling out but I am not so sure he would get in Prestons Team.

21 Dec 2025 16:29:40
It's a bloody disgrace Ed025 mate. A head should roll for this, but it will be swept under the rug. At the moment we need experience players, KDH is an example of the players we should be after. Experience players who are getting little playing time with top teams with a point to make.

I know some of them are on wages we can't afford but there must be some bargains on a global basis. I really hope that we don't waste this January window even though it is a difficult time to recruit the sort of talent we need.

{Ed025's Note - im just not happy with the recruitment Mike, its ok to go for the odd young talent when you are established in the top half mate but not when you are just recovering from 4 years in the wilderness..

21 Dec 2025 17:39:51
Ahh a touch of sanity well said BN. Sorry ED but it really annoys me when people say he must see him in training everyday. Remember the same being said about O'Brien. Plus as BN said it's Moyes job to build confidence up in the lad, the way he is treating him now is really poor.

{Ed025's Note - in the end it has to be the managers choice of how much he can play Brass, its no use sticking him in there and he lets himself and the team down mate, that will just result in his confidence being shattered and us basically playing with 10 men, its a fine line..

21 Dec 2025 19:48:13
£40m+ is for a finished article; not a prospect. His confidence will be shot and it’ll be another DCL situation. Whoever sanctioned the move needs to give their head a wobble. We’ve had our pants pulled down again!

Would rather have gone for that Kubo and upped our weekly wage offer for him to match the money for Dibling.

Send the kid out on loan to championship is the best solution. It’s not like he’ll get time under Moyes regardless of Ndiaye not playing.

It’s one of the stupidest purchases in our recent history. We need a RW desperately. We need a RB desperately. We need a Striker desperately… I know, let’s nearly blow our record paid for a player who we won’t even play. Cloud cuckoo land.

{Ed025's Note - im with you BR..

21 Dec 2025 19:51:27
Can’t believe we spent £45 million for him and the Barry cash as well the mind boggles.

21 Dec 2025 20:32:21
Put him in the 21s or send him out on loan. If it’s a confidence thing then keep him away from the first team where life is brutal. He’s young- ok then put him with the youngsters. We will soon find out if he’s above that level. But not one minute of however many he has had convinces me he is worth a first team place. Whether it’s a start or a cameo ending, he has looked massively out of his depth.

I really hope he gets a chance and takes it to prove me wrong, but honestly I can’t see it at this stage.

21 Dec 2025 22:09:06
To Guernsey Blue about Dibling going to Preston. I'm sure he can't as he's appeared for both Southampton and Everton this season. Players can't play for 3 different clubs in a season. He could go back to Southampton on loan though.

22 Dec 2025 06:19:11
Good point dentielad, clearly our befuddled old brain cell (mines called harry) hadn't thought of that. Going to be an interesting Christmas 'note to self' hearing aids in, reading glasses on.

21 Dec 2025 14:09:10
A word of thanks to Bluepotato and his post below on chances created excellent post, dear Santa please send us us a couple of strikers this Christmas.

Agree3 Disagree0

21 Dec 2025 16:24:19
No worries, pal. Just trying to bring a bit of balance to the discussion but I suppose even that won't appease some folk.

21 Dec 2025 16:35:45
Good stuff mate can’t argue with any of that.

21 Dec 2025 12:38:22
Time for a change methinks. Get Grealish off the wing he's wasted out there. Bring him into the middle where he can actually get involved in the game. Move McNeil/Alcaraz to the left and give young Dibling a run of games on the right. Have Rohl and Garner in the middle.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Dec 2025 13:28:45
Hopefully KDH will be back for our next game.

21 Dec 2025 14:45:14
Put Grealish in the middle he will drift out to the left, City tried that with him.

21 Dec 2025 14:57:59
Well tell him not to :)

21 Dec 2025 15:18:41
Waste of time BMD, not allowed to clip em round the ears any more either ???.

21 Dec 2025 16:09:49
Put Grealish up top could be a new arnoutovitch or whatever he is called he was a leftwinger then ended up doing ok upfront. Horrible bloke though.

21 Dec 2025 17:43:05
Grealish hasn't really got a shot on him though. He is very tidy on the ball though and can pick a pass. Also think of the amount of fouls we would get just outside the box. Loads of chances for Garner to put it over the bar.
