It has now become increasingly clear, the TFG are intent on a financial level of support that protects their assets value, insuring the club does not slip into the relegation zone, but will not put in the necessary funding to return the club to a level able to compete for the major Honours.
If this is their stance, then please, sell up, take your profit, and Leave, ASAP.
12 Sep 2026 10:43:51
Unless you have insider knowledge, I would suggest it is not obvious at all. What is obvious by any measure is that TFG (like any good business) are intent on bringing the Club as close to solvency as reasonably possible.
This Window was a good one overall. SCR toward last days was 102%, but within the 30% overshoot. I am guessing that the players out, in the end, brought us back down.
12 Sep 2026 11:49:30
I don’t think anything is increasingly clear other than we are in a lot better place than we were a couple of seasons ago. We are investing in youth, but still adding experience to the squad. Bringing greater investment into the club will only help in the future.
Apart from the fact, they don’t attend games, I really can’t see as they are doing that much wrong. Could be like Forest, I guess, whose owner seems to wake up and think who can I sack today.
12 Sep 2026 12:00:56
We have come million miles since the Moshiri regime, so much better in every way, TFG have been our saviour.
12 Sep 2026 12:13:04
I don't think anything is clear. What TFG have done is stabilise our club. The debts were astronomical and they didn't just vanish.
12 Sep 2026 13:03:54
What is clear is that you have no comprehension of the financial state of the club, nor do you understand the mess that TFG picked up when purchasing us.
We have been in trouble financially since the FM era, splashing out the cash with a blatant disregard for the consequences of spending above our means. TFG, no matter whether you dislike them or not, have put us back on stable ground and, moving forward, we will have money to spend. The new stadium will help pave the way for making cash not just through football but from concerts, rugby etc.
They want outside investment, but a lot of the top clubs have more than one person putting in the money. Running a football club is an expensive thing, long gone are the days that a simple millionaire can invest and keep things ticking over. Even as a billionaire, they need deep pockets to fund a Premier League club.
We could just go back to finding someone as reckless as Moshiri, throwing money at everything and eventually come close to administration again, point deductions and heavy fines.
We were very close to the 30% buffer on the new financial system that the league is using. We had no choice but to bring that down to a more manageable figure otherwise sanctions would eventually follow. Would you prefer that?
I don't care whether the owners come to games or not, that's their prerogative. They have the people they have hired representing them at the match, so I don't see what that has got to do with anything. As long as they are keeping us financially competitive and continue building a better club beyond the football team, then I am happy. Rome wasn't built in a day so let's see where they take us. One thing is certain, it isn't as bad as the FM era and we are pulling away from league sanctions. Surely that is a good thing?

Riquelme still available on a free. Only 48 now. Got his best years ahead of him. Any takers.... anyone?

Well I was 18 when Spurs beat us 10-4 at White Hart Lane, Jimmy Harris scored three for us. You can imagine what we had to go through at school. I wanted us to send Spurs down last season but we went into that game and played defensively.
Tomorrow, for goodness sake, let get after them from the first whistle and trounce them, we have enough attacking talent to do that.
A 4-0 win would erase some of the pain and even better if Barry gets a hat-trick like Jimmy.
12 Sep 2026 08:03:45
Would be nice but it'll be close, they have some decent players and finding their feet, knowing our luck they'll find them tonight! I'm going 2_-1 to us. Coyb.
12 Sep 2026 10:48:02
They do have good players, and will find their feet. Hope it holds off till after our game today. Three
things are happening today: I will certainly be drunk, I will be drunk and miserable, or I will be drunk and happy.

I see Franculino Dju and Simsir have both gone to Trabzonspor late in the window.
Two signings we should have made.
Dju bagged on his debut.
12 Sep 2026 08:05:08
Yes, but that boat has sailed and sunk. Hopefully we get a freebee in before we get an injury! And then see what happens in the next window!
12 Sep 2026 10:51:12
Yeah, but let's keep hammering away to get a response eh!!! Oh s***!!! Y. ?

Hi edd.
I know estimates can sometimes be well off the mark, but, do you, or any of the pundits, have a educated guess at the wealth of Dan Frekin?
Givern the report's that he is now looking for outside investors, where we wrong to believe he had the capacity to pump prime the club back to the top level, or is he just unwilling to do so.?
{Ed025's Note - TFG are worth $12.7 billion AB, the money is not the issue mate its all about investment and profit margins, like them or loathe them they did save the club mate, we just have to hope they see us as a worthwhile project..
12 Sep 2026 11:51:28
Well, that's not too shabby.

Team for the tmrw
Think Garner may need a rest after cramping up and coming back from injury.
Pickford
Maitland-Niles
Tarks/OBrien
Branthwaite
Myko
Hackney
Rohl
George
KDH
Dibbling
Barry.
Bring on around 60min.
Grealish
Armstrong
Johnson.
11 Sep 2026 16:29:23
If the two in middle getting overrun, drop KDH or Dibbling back to go 433.
11 Sep 2026 16:34:58
Johnson is not good enough, we have swapped like for like, the only difference is the name. He has been awful.
11 Sep 2026 17:18:09
If Garner is fit, he will play. Moyes will not start with Dibling.
{Ed025's Note - he should start with Hackney for me BMD..
11 Sep 2026 18:55:12
Yeah I agree, if he is fit.
11 Sep 2026 21:18:24
Jack will start as well, I think.
11 Sep 2026 23:00:31
Agree Ed, but you know Moyes he will play a half fit Garner pin front of Hackney. Also think Armstrong should keep his place ahead of Rohl. But for once isn't it a nice problem to have.
{Ed025's Note - i hope that if Jimmy is not fully fit he plays Hackney BMD, to be honest i would have hackney starting anyway..and Jack, why people want Dibbling to start or in fact Johnson is beyond me mate as they have failed to impress me yet, this is not a social experiment where we turn sow,s ears into silk purses..you have to play your best side, Spurs have been bloody awful up to now but if ever you want a team to play to get you out of a slump...thats Everton.. :)
12 Sep 2026 06:34:07
I only had Armstrong on the bench to avoid burn out. Small squad needs rotation, especially in midfield.
11 Sep 2026 11:56:33
We are going to get a win tomorrow, George and Barry on the scoresheet 0-2 yesssssssssssssss.
11 Sep 2026 13:27:36
More chance if it was George and Mildred.
???
11 Sep 2026 13:37:14
I'd love this GB!
I have a feeling it might go one way or the other with Spurs. They might roll over, or finally "click."
Hoping it's the former, because a win would mean it's a great start to the season.
11 Sep 2026 13:45:49
We cannot allow them to click. If we unsettled them to begin with, they have 0 leaders and will fall apart - I worry Moyes is too respectful, though, and we will allow them to gain confidence.
11 Sep 2026 14:07:38
Pressure them from the off, their fans will go scatty.
11 Sep 2026 14:36:27
If Dibbling gets on, he scores, I reckon.
11 Sep 2026 15:13:21
Not given anyone a good slap since Brighton so I feel a good old hiding is way past due. Something stinks at Spuds. 0 5.
