Before we go handing Moyes a new contract, might be worth noting we have won 5 of the last 17 games.
We are told Moyes has the last word on transfers: Dibbling 40mill, Merlin 20mill, Barry 30mill, the full back from Byermunic 7mill.
So that was 100mill well spent. ?

Terrible stats not helped by stupid money on players our scouts approved while on the Guinness, Moyes and his Staff need to hold their gabds up as well.
15 May 2026 03:50:52
Ok, may I suggest that we have a truce for the next two weeks on Moyes, the players and wasted money etc. What we all should want is two big wins to finish up the season on a high. This will give us 55 points and the possibility of a European place. What comes after that is out of our hands.
15 May 2026 07:47:42
We still have a good chance of Europe 2 veery winnable games coming up COyB.
{Ed025's Note - so were Palace, Brentford and West Ham GB, it does not always turn out that way mate, to win in this league you have to be brave and not be content with draws or narrow defeats...and certainly not set up to not lose..
15 May 2026 19:05:22
Bournemouth, Brighton, and Brentford have all been on pretty good runs of late, hence moving well ahead of us in the table. Out of the top ten, it is only Chelsea and us who are not in winning form.
Also, Fulham and Sunderland are only one point behind us. Heavily relying on the results of many other teams if we are to make Europe, even if we win the last two games.

Pickford Travers King
Wan Bissaka Alebiosu
O’Brien Tarkowski
Branthwaite Keane
Diouf Mykolenko
Garner Gana Armstrong
McTominay Tim
Kdh Rohl
Bowen McNeil
Grealish Mane
Beto Delap Graham
This is how I’d like to see our squad next season if Ndiaye does join Man Utd, change the formation slightly and have Garner sitting with McTominay and Kdh going box to box causing havoc, and that’s Mane from Wolves not Sadio, loan Dibling to West Ham for a season then sell McNeil next year.

If West Ham go down we should be all over Bowen and send Dibling there on loan for a season.

What's in it for them?
14 May 2026 10:19:18
I noticed a hell of a lot of paper talk about our club pushing to reunite with John Stones. Well, it's a big no from me, I am afraid. Huge wages, extremely injury prone.
He was good at City, but even they see it's time to move on. In my humble opinion we should do likewise. I would love to know the thoughts of my fellow Evertonians.

I noticed a hell of a lot of paper talk about our club pushing to reunite with John Stones. Well it's a big bottom me, I am afraid. Huge wages, extremely injury prone. I don't know anything about his big bottom, mate, sorry.
14 May 2026 10:16:11
He would need a big bottom for sitting on the treatment table. Is he better than what we have? Yes. Should we buy him? No.
Find the next John Stones instead.
14 May 2026 14:56:19
The French lad at Burnley is a far better idea, quick and left footed. Think Branthwaight is a hell of a player, but there must be concerns about his long term fitness.

Lots of talk on the waves today about whether we should make a move for Iraola at the end of the season once Moyes' contract is up.

13 May 2026 22:48:09
I don't see him joining us, Elvis. He has the pick of several teams in Europe in a much better place than us.
I'd love to see someone like Iraola take us on.
14 May 2026 07:50:01
Not sure he would see us as a step up. There'll be some much bigger clubs after him. Maybe once he's failed there, he can join us!
14 May 2026 10:18:21
All down to a manager's ambition, I guess. Personally I think we would be a very good fit given the direction the club is moving in.
14 May 2026 16:11:04
I would think that a lot of young hungry managers would see our club as a massive opportunity. Depends on who else is after him, I suppose. All signs point towards Moyes for another season anyway.
13 May 2026 15:53:44
Reading that Dm will be given ample funds this summer to bring in new players and that Tfg are more than happy with Dm with his achievement, and a new contract is close as they see Dm as the manager to take us to the next level. Exciting times ahead for Everton after a couple of windows; we should have a very good team, COYB.

We haven't seen what he spends these funds on yet lol. I want players who go into the team and make a difference. Not to sit on bench, as Moyes seems them not Premiership ready. Finn Azeez from Millwall and Hackney from Middlesbrough should be under serious consideration. Also a good RB, LB and Striker.
13 May 2026 18:35:14
Exactly mate, DM has to bring in players who can go straight into the Team.
13 May 2026 22:31:24
I watched both at an awful PNE (Grandsons Team) . Azeez is a possible Ndiaye clone of the Championship. Not so impressed with Hackney. RB and a striker priority for me.
14 May 2026 07:52:06
Has to be a right back. Totally holding us back. We cannot continue with Tarks and Keane in the middle. They're so slow and defend so deep that it just invites teams to attack us. We're conceding goals for fun at the moment.
13 May 2026 10:10:22
Last five games draw, lose, lose, draw, draw. 3 points from possible 15. Definitely not the form that is going to get us into Europe. During this time, barring injuries, we have played the same players, used the same tactics, and made the same substitutions. While totally ignoring other players on the bench, or not making changes when certain players are clearly not playing well.
And don't give me the players on the bench are not good enough line. Rohl who appears to have been written off for most of this season gets his chance and shows us what he can do. Aznou looked sharp when he came on, haven't seen him since, and it's not as if Micky has been playing well. As for bringing Alcaraz on with two minutes to go, why? KDH was having a poor game, so why wait until the 94 minute?
People saying we have improved massively this season, well we are currently one point better off than last season.
But many will say at least we are not fighting relegation. Agree we are not but the opportunity was there to qualify for Europe and really kick on next season. That opportunity is now fading fast and it's down to Moyes negativity in games. His stubbornness to change things when they are not working, and this negative vibe he gives out when being interviewed.
We need to realise that this is no longer little old Everton who are punching above their weight (another line I hate) . We have new owners, a new ground which is generating income streams from all sports. Perhaps we now need a manager that can now take us to the next level, a manager who sees European qualification as a minimum and not something that would have been nice.

Best post for a long long time on here. Covers everything I feel. Didn't realise we are only a point better off than last season with 2 games to go.
13 May 2026 12:56:29
Thank God for that. Time to update all your CV's and review the 'when I' videos.
13 May 2026 13:59:06
Agreed, it will be interesting to see what response we have from the owners. It's a risk changing managers, and the easy way out will be to continue with Moyes and mid-table expectations, with the possibility of getting into Europe.
Unfortunately that's what a lot of supporters are happy with us achieving.
New players will help, but only if he uses them, and up to now that has not happened to most.
13 May 2026 16:41:08
Agree with an awful lot of what you say, Brass, and the last two lines really hit home, mate. Good post.
13 May 2026 18:14:33
I'm going to see where we are after the next two games. We can put it all on Moyes, manager has to take responsibility, but our 'top performers' have been just as responsible in the last few games.
13 May 2026 18:33:07
Well, I think if we win our last 2 games and those above us lose, then 6th is a possibility, I think. I may be wrong. I just hope Ndiaye and Dewsbury Hall have been staying back in training to have shooting practice.
13 May 2026 18:37:09
Agree JB, some of our so called top players need to look at themselves, just not good enough in the last few games.
13 May 2026 20:57:05
I will say to be fair that although we're just a point better off so far it was still Moyes who got most of them last season for the time he was there. But that's the only thing I would check on your post, Brass'. It's an excellent point of view which I fully support.
He just doesn't match the premium feel of the owners and the stadium.
We need to progress further and view this season as a stabilising one. The real question is can we go any further with Moyes in charge?
13 May 2026 21:46:44
Really good read that and I do agree to an extent. There is always that feeling though, look at West Ham after they let Moyes go.
If you replace him, you have to get the right person in. There is no room for error.
Everyone wants a young, progressive manager but we're done that a few times too and it doesn't always work out. (Although Moshiri and his agents were a lot to blame for the dire transfer) .
14 May 2026 00:06:55
Great post, Brass. ?
I am a Moyes fan & will always be thankful for every season he's managed us. However.
Is he the man to build a squad to challenge? Yes, he probably is.
Is he the man to be adventurous & go for the win when we need it? Probably not.
I think that if we want to win things, we may need a change. We are a massive club again & have to be pushing to get into the elite clubs at the top.
I do not know who the right man for the job is, but we have to get it right first time.
UTFT NSNO. ?
{Ed025's Note - he has done a great job since he came back WT and has given us back our dignity as a football club, i just feel that if we want to take the next step we would need a more dynamic type of manager, i suppose it depends on your expectations mate, he will keep us safe and in the top flight for as long as he is here but as regards winning things or challenging for top 4 then i think we may need to look elsewhere, he is very safe or even pragmatic in his style and his record against the better teams is abysmal...knives to a gunfight and all that. i dont speak for all the fans though and im sure some are happy with the job he is doing and thats fine..
15 May 2026 00:02:16
Totally agree Ed.he is stability but now we need a manager who'll take us to the next level.
{Ed025's Note - i think he has done a very good job of getting us back on track WT but not sure he can take us any further mate, i think we can all see that the club is going forward and with a few more quality players who knows how far we can go, im just getting a bit fed up of always being the bridesmaid and never the bride and not taking cup competitions seriously and feeling that against the bigger teams we are taking a knife to a gunfight, a lot will say it would be harsh on David to get rid of him and i can see their point, but i for one would like us to not sit back in games when we take the lead or take our foot off the gas and look for a draw when even the big boys can be there for the taking, maybe i want too much too soon but im not getting any younger and would love to see us up there where we belong and possibly win a cup but im afraid i cant see that happening under safe Dave..
