Hi all - looking for advice. I don't get a chance to get up to games often, but would love to take my boy and dad to opening game Vs Palace.
Is the Forever Blue+ membership worth it? Are tickets likely to sell out on initial ballot, or is it likely some will go on sale to Forever Blue members? And would all 3 of us need to be Forever Blue+ members?
Thanks for your help!

When I was growing up in West Derby, Everton were a force, winning the league and the FA Cup. Following our Cup win in 1995 we had poor management for too long. Then we got rid of the Russian influence and got new American owners. A new beginning? Well maybe, but the fact that they have not been to see us play once results in the realization that there objectives and ours as supporters may well differ.
They are business men and have made getting the financial part of the business on a level footing and putting football people into the top jobs. Building the financial benefits of the new stadium by using it for non-football events must be high on there agenda. Investigating business opportunities in the area around the stadium also must be a given.
While the last eight games of last season were a disappointment they obviously see no reason to make panic changes at the moment.
They will give Moyes whatever the financial situation allows the club to spend for new players. If additional players are needed it will be financed by sales of existing players. Consequently unless a miracle happens we can only expect a slow improvement over the next few seasons.
The issue I have with all of this is that I am fed up watching boot-ball, dreary football, poor management and late substitutions. Anyone who believes that the football we have been playing is exciting is not as old as me, I have seen better days.
By the way please keep your replies pleasant. At 86 I have had a hernia operation two days ago and need to keep calm, my wife (from Prescot) insists on it.

Good post, Mike. I, too, have seen all the glory days. Keep your feet up and chill out, mate, you deserve it.
19 Jun 2026 21:04:51
Thanks GB, I do enjoy your posts, I'm just not as bullish as you. I just want to see us play some quality football. If we do, the good results will follow.
19 Jun 2026 21:24:41
Yeah, good post, Mike. I absolutely understand where you're coming from. I don't think any of us are blown away by the style of football. For a long time, I've just been worried about relegation, and so a 'safe' season seemed a bonus. Expectations must be higher for next season. All the best for the upcoming op, mate.
19 Jun 2026 22:03:18
I don't know if I'm right, but I just get the feeling TFG are more interested in the stadium and the location of it to make a buck, and the fans and or football come second. I could be wrong, but that's just way they make me feel.
I can't see them making enough positive changes for our club to win any trophies in my lifetime. Mid to 6th in the Premier League will do just fine for them, I think.
19 Jun 2026 22:39:58
Hey Mike, a little bit younger than you but old enough to see Alex Young in his prime. Used to drink in the Barrie's in West Derby.
I get what you're saying and also find it frustrating that we have moved so far away from the style of football I used to watch.
I can only think that younger supporters these days have had nothing to get excited about, so see avoiding relegation as a success.
Sad times, and if we continue in this vain, I doubt I will ever see this club lift a trophy again.

76 bluemike, incisional hernia after radical cystectomy, buggars won't operate cos of low body fat. Stress with this lot don't help. Now you all know why I am a bloody miserable sod.
20 Jun 2026 01:31:06
Understand fully, dms. A radical cystectomy is serious. Hope the hernia is not causing any pain, and if it is, get them to do the hernia operation with laparoscopic surgery. Very little cutting and recovery is much faster. Not all hospitals do it, but do some research. Good luck, mate.

Hi BMD, by the time I had reached drinking age we had moved to Alder Road so it was The Queens on Queens Drive for me.
My best mate at school and who I went to matches with was Neville Smith who went on to co-write and act in "The Golden Vision". Have kept in touch with Neville over the years, but he is not well now, unfortunately.
Loved Alex Young and called my son Ian Alexander. Wish we had him now, although he would be too small for Moyes style boot the ball up field football. I haven't watched the kid Graham, but he may be a Young look-alike.

Does anybody get the feeling that Everton are stuck in groundhog day. Lots of positive talk on who we might bring in, lots of positivity, real hope and enthusiasm, only to be beaten to the punch by other sides, and be left with those that nobody really wanted.
I know this is depressing, and I really hope I am wrong, but then again this is Everton.

Yes.

The fact that we haven't signed anyone but a 16 year old from Dundee (who will never make it under Dino Dave) while other sides have already improved speaks volumes.
Hackney and Wan-Bissaka seemed pretty much done weeks ago.
Yet, still nothing, Hackney being linked with Palace and Newcastle now whilst we inevitably end up with Mark Noble coming out of retirement or spend £50m on Liam Delap.
19 Jun 2026 19:57:45
Looking at a loan for Delap, makes far more sense than £50 million. Strewth.
19 Jun 2026 20:20:44
You going through an Aussie phase, GB? Second 'Strewth.' today. You'll be saying good onya and barby's next.
19 Jun 2026 20:38:06
Trying to lighten the mood mate, too many on here seem to be from down under. 😂😂
19 Jun 2026 20:45:01
🤣 Love it.
19 Jun 2026 16:57:08
Need to get the Hackney deal done. Spurs will get Wharton then Palace will nip in if we don't get this sorted.
19 Jun 2026 20:12:15
Can we not get Wharton instead.
19 Jun 2026 10:44:47
Palace at home 1st game.
19 Jun 2026 12:30:00
Happy with that.
19 Jun 2026 13:07:32
You would be happy with spud bros, mate. 🤣🤣🤣
19 Jun 2026 13:54:14
A very fair season all round. No month of death.
Obviously cup runs and European clubs' reschedules aside, it's almost as if the FA forgot they hate us? We must find the deeper meaning, as this must be a trap? This doesn't fit any of the tin foil loonz, er, I mean, the concerned fanbase queries at all.
19 Jun 2026 14:01:44
Seems as clear as mud to me FBS, mate.
19 Jun 2026 14:09:45
Don't forget they can still get at us with VAR, all is not won, mate.
19 Jun 2026 14:15:29
Top by Christmas.
19 Jun 2026 15:01:32
With that run at the start, if we're not top 8 after 5 games, it will get sticky for old Davey.
19 Jun 2026 15:23:46
Bacofoil or supermarket own GB?
19 Jun 2026 15:52:25
😂😂 lol.
19 Jun 2026 09:24:23
It's being mentioned that we might be trying to explore a loan deal for Liam Delap. What's your thoughts 💭, fellow evertonians?
19 Jun 2026 09:35:08
Unless we play like we did under Ancelloti when he told Calvert-Lewin to just hang around six yard box then i wouldn't take him as he seems to play no their part on the pitch.
19 Jun 2026 10:21:53
On loan, with option to buy, what's not to like? Comes off and scores 20 goals, great, struggles to get 5, we put him back on the train to London. Win - win.
19 Jun 2026 10:44:22
I'd go for that deal.
19 Jun 2026 12:32:07
Yep happy with that.
19 Jun 2026 13:09:09
May as well keep Barry, would rather waste money on his wages.
19 Jun 2026 13:53:23
If we are to bring him in, then a loan deal would be the best option. Can't see him being any worse than the two we have, but don't want to gamble stupid amounts of millions on him. From what I have seen of him, which admittedly is limited, he's never really impressed.
19 Jun 2026 13:53:46
Don't think Chelsea would take that deal.
19 Jun 2026 14:10:50
With you on that, bluepotato, mate.
19 Jun 2026 16:00:34
Probably a loan to buy if he plays so many games. I'm not a fan myself. Heard we didn't play Idrissa in the last few games because, if he reached 30 games, it would have triggered another year on his contract. Who knows?

{Ed's Note - OptimumShots has posted a new article entitled, Everton Need One Clear Squad Plan
19 Jun 2026 05:56:45
Also I see the media narrative around Pickford has started again, this time with Troy Deeney.
Yes, the same Troy Deeney who said he was a more complete player than Harry Kane.
19 Jun 2026 10:26:39
Pickford's record speak for it's self. Just some no mark trying to say something controversial, to apper relevent, was and still is an ignorant nob head.
19 Jun 2026 10:57:53
Pickford comes in for some unnecessary flack, probably because he plays for Everton.
19 Jun 2026 11:32:19
It's unbelievable. One game in and the knives are out.
Deeney said he didn't know any stats on Pickford for England. Well, the stats are that for England in competitive matches Jordan hasn't made one error that has led to a goal. Not bad for a liability.
England were poor collectively for both goals, but he decides to single out Pickford, typical.
Deeney was a bang average thug of a player. I remember in the last game Watford had at Goodison, in their press conference he said that they were coming to Goodison to kick the f*** out of us. What a class act! Don't think Pickford will lose any sleep over it.
{Ed025's Note - Deeny has always been a prick mate..
19 Jun 2026 13:12:09
Deeny is a dickhead, but to be fair Pickford was awful against Croatia, hopefully that's his bad game out of the way, same for our (England) CB's and RB.
19 Jun 2026 13:22:52
Pickford England stats:
Played 85.
Clean sheets 45 (second best after Shilton) .
Goals conceded 48.
2nd highest capped goalkeeper after Shilton.
His record for England speaks for itself.
I also agree that he and the whole England defence looked very shaky for the first 25 mins or so, the other night.
19 Jun 2026 16:03:17
Heard Deeney on a few interviews, what an arrogant cock end he is. He just wants some attention.
19 Jun 2026 12:58:15
Very polite Ed.
Couldn't agree more. It amazes me how they get jobs in the media. It just boosts their over inflated ego's and makes them feel important.
{Ed025's Note - he fits the profile of what the media are looking for in a pundit Shropshire, a mixed race guy who will put himself on the line and be controversial mate..
19 Jun 2026 22:06:40
Having some football knowledge might help.
19 Jun 2026 05:44:49
Ayyoub Bouaddi ran the show against Brazil for Morocco the other day. Very highly rated. We have no chance anyway as Arsenal want him.
But I am curious, if we were offered him or Soucek, forget the money, who would fans prefer and, maybe more importantly, who would Moyes pick?
Because I honestly think he picks Soucek every day of the week and 4 times on Sunday.
18 Jun 2026 23:38:32
The transfer window's first week is coming to an end
We signed anyone yet?
19 Jun 2026 07:40:32
I keep checking every 30 minutes just in case, but we all know it will be the last week. Once we have sold Branthwaite and Ndiaye, we will be looking at our 4th choice options.
19 Jun 2026 12:59:18
Do you really believe that Blue Dev, Strewth.
