He's only 20 years old, so his best years are to come. From the brief cameos I have seen, the lad likes to run at defences and is quick. Hopefully, he is not being brought in to make up the numbers because our attack lacks genuine pace.

If we did get Jack then play him as a 10. He doesn't have the pace of George, but is a clever footballer and think giving him the freedom to play in front of KDH, Hackney and Garner with George and Ndiaye out wide could work.

According to the Telegraph Hayden Hackney close to being finalised and should be done by the weekend for 25 million. If he does join what's people's fought on him and would he be in starting 11? I havnt seen him play me but I remember someone on here who has watched him few times for Boro said he was good player with potential like.

Apparently the fee is £16.5m, plus a further £5m on appearances and £3m linked to CL and England games. So at least that means we will only ever pay 21.5m, hey!

Not sure how much money the club has to spend. GB thinks it is 100M and I hope that he is right, on the other hand I have read that we need to sell in order to buy, whatever that means.

I'm guessing we will get rid of Dwight, hopefully as part of a deal for Bowen. I've heard Gueye is leaving, Hackney replaces him number wise, Patterson and Coleman will be gone, so could do with Doue and another fullback who can cover left and righbacks.

Tim could be off, so hopefully replace him with someone decent. Will probably sell Alcaraz, so need a replacent for him, or use Dibbling in a 10, plus all in for a decent striker, then a couple more for squad. Easy peasy.

So no signings yet.. but club have made contact with clubs and players' representatives already over the following players in view of making bids.. Stones, Hackney, Bowen, Aeda, Parrott… I’m told that out of all of these Hackney is the closest to being done.

Stones, no, we need to be looking younger and put Branthwaite and Obrien together this season. Hackney, yes, to replace Gana, plus another to replace Tim if he goes. Bowen, yes, would have him but think he would cost too much.

Ayase Ueda, not sure on. Parrot is something different to what we have. If Barry goes, would go for Dju personally. Still hope we get Jack for another loan and take the option for George, plus Doue and Diouf. Would be happyish with that.

Makes more sense than Hackney for me, GB, for the pure sense that he is a 6 and will let Jimmy play more advanced, where I think he is better and admits is more natural to him.

Charles gives the 3 a better balance. They would be having us over on the price again though, like Dibling at the reported price.

Apparently J Bowen has said if he decides to leave and Everton go for him we would be his preferred destination due to Moyes.
Might be best giving him next season as J Bowen sorts our goal scoring problems (for me anyway) .
