Well we are in the final few days of the transfer window and I'm not sure about anyone else but I have no clue who Everton are after, soon as you think you know, some one comes out and says no they arent, true or false I have no idea, but this Ferguson player, is he the answer I'm not sure, I mean Brighton don't have a striker banging in goals left right and centre yet he struggles to get in the side, then there the lad from rangers, that's the Scottish league half the players in that league are no better than division 1 down here, the only players I'm getting excited about are the 3 Chelsea lads, the rest I think we need better.
1.) 28 Jan 2025 16:39:22
Igamane is 22 and has great physical attributes mate. He can fashion goals out of nothing, which helps when you are playing for a team as devoid of creativeness as we are. Jelavic didn't turn out too bad for us when Moyes signed him from Rangers after all.
The lad has also played PL opposition in Europe and he is 1 goal from being top scorer in the competition - not bad when he is playing in a team that is Division 1 level. He has scored as many goals as the lad City just paid 60/ 70m for.
I would be happy with this lad coming in tbh Pasty. Young, hungry and wanting to make his name in the game.
2.) 28 Jan 2025 17:14:08
He's probably going to have a bright future but we don't need to keep loaning or signing injured players. So no not the answer.
3.) 28 Jan 2025 17:47:35
I would like Igamane but it will probably end up being Danny Ings.
4.) 28 Jan 2025 18:08:55
Can't see rangers selling igamane this window plenty others will leave before he departs his price is on the rise 25 million plus. Dessers banged a cracker against manu he's available for a lot less.
5.) 28 Jan 2025 19:40:43
Can’t see him being £25m+
They paid like £2.5m in the summer, I reckon £10-12m could get it done and he might push for a move to increase his £7k wages and to prove himself in the premier league
Maybe some sort of swap deal with Paterson if we can snap up KWP
Sorry BlueNose if I am telling recruitment how to do their job again lol
And sign Preciado for depth.
6.) 28 Jan 2025 20:02:27
Pack it in ST, I have already told you the once! Hahaha.
7.) 28 Jan 2025 20:14:32
Sadly, I’d take Danny Ings - at least he knows where the back of the net is. We are more likely to get Antonio….
8.) 28 Jan 2025 21:55:36
He also has a full gold membership for the sick bay.
08 Aug 2024 11:52:37
Juat wondered if any of the Ed's no if we are actually intrested in Gnonto, one mins says we arent, then says we are, then we have bid 23mil which has been rejected, they want 25 mill, if we do want him why are we mucking around over 2 mill, or is this just total rubbish as I just don't see how he's done anything to be worth even 15 mill or is it that he has potential, sorry question after question, I'd like him at Everton but 25 mill I'd have to ask myself is he worth it.
{Ed002's Note - Wilfried Gnonto (LW/RW) Juventus, Inter and Manchester City interest in taking him as cover has gone. Everton had offers rejected last summer and this. With Summerville gone he will likely get more game time. Wants to return to Italy with perhaps Fiorentina or Milan interested.}
1.) 08 Aug 2024 16:04:53
Real old transfer tussle that one, needs to be sorted if not move on.
2.) 08 Aug 2024 16:28:13
Should have gone for Summerville a better player in my eyes.
3.) 08 Aug 2024 19:48:01
Much better notforme. It true West Ham have paid little over £20m, that will be the best deal of the summer easily he is much better than n’diaye who we have bought and seems like similar money.
19 Jun 2024 08:13:43
Hi Ed's, just wondering as I read all the rubbish in the click abit probably like everyone else, I get sucked in with we are after this one and that one, if we sell one of our assets, so we don't get a points deduction again, will we have funds to spend, as reading the villa lad is around 10 mill which I'd like to no how we can spend that if we are skint, I no nothing of how the money works ect, so treat me like an idiot.
{Ed002's Note - The money would come from sales beyond what is required to avoid a third charge and further loans.}
1.) 19 Jun 2024 12:06:21
If the most of the current debt has been refinanced then we may be better off with operational cost plus any additional sponsorship would probably go to operational finances reducing liabilities and therefore improving our P&S. Things are looking better if you believe all the media but we are still not out of the woods.
{Ed002's Note - None of this matters in terms of what is required to be done by the end of the month.}
24 Sep 2023 09:24:26
My mate is a Southampton fan, messaged me saying he can't believe holgate is starting, first ball comes to him, takes too long on the ball, gets caught and the other team score. Was taken off at halftime. Looks like Southampton won't be buying him, so back to us again and more wasted wages.
1.) 24 Sep 2023 11:12:25
Just shows how bad our recruitment has been, but also our team selections. He’s struggling in the Championship, early days, I get that, but clearly no where near Premier League level.
2.) 24 Sep 2023 11:45:38
At one stage I remember that he was touted as the new Stones but better…
Can only hope he hasn’t long left on his contract and we can loan him out again next season. Maybe to somewhere in Europe.
3.) 24 Sep 2023 19:24:47
That lads confidence is shot. He's not as bad as everyone is making out. He needs a run of games to play himself into some form.
The championship is fast paced and physical, so he needs to adapt.
Don't get me wrong, he's long passed being an Everton player and does need to move on as do we. Issue is his contract which I don't know how long he has left.
4.) 24 Sep 2023 20:06:55
Holgate came before the Moshiri days guys.
5.) 24 Sep 2023 21:42:27
Judging by his comments when he went to Southampton I don't think his confidence is shot, more so that he has an extraordinary excess of confidence.
6.) 25 Sep 2023 09:46:48
Agree TD he was always a liability in our defence we are far better these days mate.
7.) 25 Sep 2023 23:29:48
Not always and he was initially thought well of.
8.) 26 Sep 2023 10:11:08
Wasn't he one of a couple of bright young things that included Tom Davies at one time, remember that trouncing of Man City at Goodison?
9.) 27 Sep 2023 17:25:04
It was only a few seasons ago that Holgate was playing really well for us. He was our best centre half, right back and defensive midfielder. His form went and then his confidence quickly followed. He has numerous chances to regain some form and confidence but it hasn't happened, his form now would struggle to get him on an intermediate team.
Unfortunately for us, Ben Godfrey has went pretty much the same way. Godfrey and Keane were taken right out of their comfort zones against Doncaster and struggled with their attacking players.
{Ed025's Note - if you think he has ever played really well you have a better memory than me Joe, i have always seen him as a liability mate..
19 Jul 2023 18:08:35
Alan Myers is saying 2 signing very close and 2 out, plus another one in and another one out on the way, make of that what you want, I think holgate is gone maybe cannon on loan, but who is in, well with what seven been served up so far could be anyone.
1.) 19 Jul 2023 18:14:46
Yeah not sure about Cannon he seems good enough to get into our first Team.
2.) 19 Jul 2023 18:31:54
2 new toffee ladies - because of our financial predicament instead of throwing toffees into the crowd fans are expected to throw any loose change into their baskets!
3.) 19 Jul 2023 18:52:36
Danjuma.
4.) 19 Jul 2023 19:10:45
Danjuma yep.
5.) 19 Jul 2023 19:13:25
As long as it isn't the players GD, they would have no chance of hitting the basket.
6.) 19 Jul 2023 19:20:08
Cannon has to be given a chance. Out I have no clue but surely Maupay has to be one, Holgate looks to be another (Captaining U21's) . Striker, decent RW and creative mid hopefully in. Stories still persist about the paddle still missing on the financial kayak.
7.) 19 Jul 2023 19:21:29
Made me chuckle that dan ?.
8.) 19 Jul 2023 19:51:41
Smit666, Danjuma is not signing for us, just more click bait.
9.) 20 Jul 2023 11:08:38
As I said. Welcome Danjuma.

Here we go, Monday and last day of the transfer window, haven't we all missed Moyes and leaving it till the last minute, after reading all the we are in for and he doesn't want to go to Everton, I really have no idea who we are looking at if any, we look like alcaraz is on his way in, but every day it's a different name, no one saw alcaraz so maybe there maybe a suprise or 2, fingers crossed were all happy later or tomorow.
1.) 03 Feb 2025 13:47:10
You should save that as you can it multiple times in the summer.
20 Jan 2025 09:44:02
Would just like to say we won yesterday how about having your glass half full instead of half empty, for once just enjoy the win with out slaging someone off, win as a team lose as team, every player has good and bad games but when we win, stop your moaning, I just find it embarrassing.
1.) 20 Jan 2025 12:24:23
Embarrassing for who?
2.) 20 Jan 2025 13:17:32
Got to voice opinions somewhere. I’d sooner read it here than hear it at the match when we should be cheering the boys on.
My glass is definitely half full, it’s just that I’d prefer it full.
3.) 20 Jan 2025 13:04:15
Football is a game of opinions mate, and all on here are entitled to speak about them, it’s what makes this site so good, I don’t like to be told it’s embarrassing no more than you having a gripe, but that’s how it is, at the end of the day nothing said on here will have any bearing on our Club, you don’t like it there’s always the on/ off switch.
4.) 20 Jan 2025 13:47:59
Rather than moaning about people moaning, feel free to ignore it and post something positive if you'd prefer. I'd love to see at least one name in through the door before Saturday, keep the energy going in the right direction.
5.) 20 Jan 2025 13:31:57
Get what you are saying mate but this is a forum site and it’s all about opinions, if as Doucoure or any other player has been virtually useless then I will and many others post our feeling, it’s what makes this site so interesting reading everyone’s posts and the banter that goes on, many of us don’t agree and that’s fine.
6.) 20 Jan 2025 13:42:06
I live in Tottenham territory Blue Pasty. I was happy as a sand-boy yesterday. Some of my family weren’t mind!
You’re right. We need to enjoy these moments when they come around.
19 Jan 2025 14:55:16
Good start 2 up and dcl and illman have scored, let's hope we come out the second half with the same mentality.
1.) 19 Jan 2025 15:02:12
3-0 at HT I’m speechless. I can’t remember the last time this happened.
2.) 19 Jan 2025 15:09:35
3-0 at half-time. Just shows you the difference a more attacking tactic makes. I decided for the first time for a long time to wear my Everton jersey when watching the game, will have to do it more often. For the first time for a long time I am enjoying watching Everton play. Let's. keep it up and score a few more. I remember when we got Beaton 10-4 at Spurs, you can imagine how we were treated by the Reds.
3.) 19 Jan 2025 15:31:22
Even thou 3 up I'm still very nervous we don't throw it away, this will be the beast we need, hopefully this is the turning point and I'm glad to see the Iriah giant playing today.
4.) 19 Jan 2025 16:05:44
Wear it every game mate. You might be the luck we need.
5.) 19 Jan 2025 17:50:20
You must have been crapping yourself near the end Bp.
06 Jan 2025 09:43:58
Rooney, Neville, Baines, carsley people are saying make these our new manager, am I really seeing this, what would they have to offer except a very quick exit from the prem, this isn't oh let's just give it to him , The next manager could be the most important one to get us where we should be, and let me tell you this these 4 aren't it. For me potter I'd give at the end of the season, Ipswich manager end of the season, but for now I'd have to say with his experience Moyes there just isn't anyone to come in for the job needed, if you have a better option let's hear it, and this is just my opinion I'm no manager, well just at grass roots but then we lose more than we win lol.
1.) 06 Jan 2025 09:57:02
I think the calls for Baines was only for interim but then maybe interim should be Paul Tait, first things first we need Dyche to go
Potter has the Prem experience, but we need the Brighton Potter
Moyes I have seen varying opinions, some say he wouldn’t take a 6 month role but then someone posted about him doing 6 months and then moving to a role upstairs, not sure what that role was though
What we can all agree on is that something needs to change or we are doomed
Anyway…. has he gone yet?
2.) 06 Jan 2025 10:00:40
Think its a little bit harsh to chuck Carsley in with the rest of them tbh, not that I am calling for Carsley.
I would like us to go after Michel from Girona.
Potter isn't a bad manager but I fear there would be a long period before he implemented his ideas properly and we don't have the personnel to execute it.
23 Dec 2024 09:25:38
Everyone has there thoughts on dyche, at the moment we are picking up points, yesterday funny as it is, we played abit more attacking, oh and the new team send along someone to watch, abit of a coincidence, but we did do ok against a cracking team, but dyche is a relegation manager, he's in his element, The drama, the struggles he loves all. of course that makes him look as though he's doing a fantastic job under the circumstances, Yes I no he actually has done a great job, points deduction ect ect, but does he improve teams, the answer is no, Burnley great job dyche, gets the teams working hard, but they don't improve, always at the wrong end, move to Everton and it's the same, we haven't improved we are still again near the bottom, he could spend million but his style of go out not to lose mean we lose more than we win, a draw and clean sheets is all he talks about, if you don't score you don't win, the imagination he has is non existent, so moving forward we need a new manager becasue if we don't every year we will be in the same position, All dyche is is another BIG SAM who thinks he's a top manager but is just a survivor same as dyche.
1.) 23 Dec 2024 13:09:10
Good post BP.
2.) 23 Dec 2024 13:21:29
Got to give credit. Everton were the better side second half and all game played some good football. What needs asking of Dyche is why?
3.) 23 Dec 2024 13:29:27
Groundhog Day over and over again. Championship manager with Championship mindset.
4.) 23 Dec 2024 14:04:53
Only a moron would take this squad and go gung-ho against the top tier sides. I hate SD but there's 5 teams home and away that I'll take SD ball. I'm sure some spurs fans would like some of it as do all the Saint's fans probably wishing for 80% dycheball. The other 14 sides however I totally agree with the morons and want us to go expecting a win or a team trying to win.
5.) 23 Dec 2024 14:11:26
The game against City will be interesting. Sit back and allow them to have the ball will be a turning point for them, we will get crushed. They are at an all time low, and vulnerable defensively so please SD have a go, put the boot in, attack them, unsettle them and we could have three points. OK I am dreaming!
6.) 23 Dec 2024 15:55:19
OK "Formerly Brown Shoes" people who call other people "morons" on the internet are normally ones who are too cowardly to say it to you face to face. Please explain to this moron why "trying to win" is moronic?
7.) 23 Dec 2024 16:11:00
Honestly, there's never a time for the way he sets up his teams. If you want to be a progressive club then he just isn't the man for the job. If you want him to put out fires and work on a shoe string then that's how he likes to operate. Can't wait for the moment to the new owners hand him his p45.
We've had two scoreless games, albeit grabbing a point in each, and people seem to have softened their stance over him, unbelievable really. The clown needs putting out of his misery asap.
8.) 23 Dec 2024 16:56:47
Not every often you get to say it these days but we’re in better form than them lol.
9.) 23 Dec 2024 19:15:12
What form? Can’t score a goal and have had three wins all season. Oh and FBS calling people morons because they have an opinion that differs to yours just shows a total lack of respect for others. Still keep trying to be witty and controversial, I’m sure someone out there will appreciate it.
10.) 23 Dec 2024 19:48:29
3 wins all season isn't good enough in my opinion yeah dyche deserves credit for arsenal an chelsea but that's about it man city away we will get a hiding am afraid hopefully am wrong and we somehow get a point can't see it in my opinion.
11.) 23 Dec 2024 20:02:46
Morons for wanting your team to both defend and attack? I'll happily fall into that bracket as I pay money to be entertained and I expect my team to have a go at whoever they are facing. If you're happy to watch us not have a shot on target, as at arsenal, and bow to the genius SD for getting a point then I could think of a few names to throw your way.
12.) 24 Dec 2024 08:35:00
Maybe he meant “more on” in reference to Dyche’s lack of subs…
Come on everyone, it’s Christmas - let’s give each other, including Dyche, a break until Boxing Day.
13.) 24 Dec 2024 15:28:55
More like move on BR mate,
06 Feb 2025 17:07:57
I have read some Utter junk on this thread, please explain why you want him out, not rubbish you've read on some click bait or what your grannies half sister s mum told them, I can't see what you think anyone could of done in the circumstances, most of you can only come up with Harrison is that it, you don't think that the next man in the hot seat won't get a couple transfers wrong, your living in a dream world, Moyes has shown the players he's brought in are good enough . don't forget we had no money, so no big time Charlie was ever going to walk threw the door and help us climb the league.
04 Feb 2025 13:20:55
I'm not sure how anyone can say weather there'll has or hasn't done his job, he probably had a list of players dyche wanted and then Moyes arrives and will have his own player he wants , personally 1 player in is 1 more than I thought,
30 Jan 2025 14:03:21
Suprise surprise BN.
30 Jan 2025 10:16:12
Depends how you look at it, one off the best defences for clean sheets in Europe, like some one said if you don't have a striker putting the ball in the net that won't help his assist, he's a defender not a winger that's for sure.
21 Jan 2025 20:13:02
I'd of rather it was just one more win, 5 sounds a lot in the position we are in at the moment.
02 Feb 2025 14:13:08
Some times it's just the right time and the right place, up until yesterday he looked terrible, but take my hat off to him the 2 goals were top class, long may it continue.
01 Feb 2025 16:02:33
Skylark and how do you o he didn't what is the matter with you, who care who found him, as a by we have found him I'd that better for you.
30 Jan 2025 10:18:50
I like your thinking BB but maybe a stretch.
29 Jan 2025 10:26:21
That's the problem we are in, for the future is not what we need right now, I agree summer transfer window is where we should be looking if we have the money and luxury of buying these players, for now we need players to come in and make a statement.
27 Jan 2025 17:16:47
If you rememeber when Moyes was here last time, every transfer was near the end of the window, he won't rush.
