Real Betis close to agreeing a deal for Troy Parrott. Club & player both keen to conclude a deal. Betis will also play Champions League next season, so no chance of him coming to us now.

17 Aug 2026 17:14:59
I'm really thinking we are going to wait last minute now and risk it for a loan or 2.

17 Aug 2026 17:23:09
He might, if we had a recruitment team that new what they were doing.
If there supposed to be an asset, could we put them on the transfer list, but the buyer would end us sueing us for more than the Burnley scum bags, and they would have a case

17 Aug 2026 19:01:57
Couldn't Uncle John have convinced him to come!?

17 Aug 2026 19:29:22
I think we are sitting on a couple of loan plans as well, Blue_dev.

I think we are waiting on Grealish, but would hope that becomes more a case of them cancelling his contract to get him off their wage bill and we sign him permanently or a nominal fee.
I think we are playing with fire, and have plans for a Rb on loan. I think it might be Ben White on a loan with option or obligation.
And I think we will sign a striker on loan, Delap or Jackson, most likely Delap though.

Makes more sense on loan with an option, as I don't think he's done much since his move and needs to prove himself, also means when Moyes leaves, if the new manager doesn't rate him, we aren't stuck with him.
I think Hector Fort would be a good reasonable priced signing. If he hits the ground running, it would mean we could utilise Ben White at Cb, which would bring a better range of passing, releasing our wingers on the break.

17 Aug 2026 12:17:38
Just read Tim's deal maybe off because of the injury. Also they're looking for a RB and will have one by the weekend. ? Bloody hell so it can be done.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Aug 2026 13:36:04
Where did you see we are getting a rb for the weekend. There's no chance of being in the squad, we need to do the 4 day medical and 3 day photoshoot

17 Aug 2026 14:33:58
Sorry Dev, meant Hull signing a Rb. Being an old fart, sometimes things in my head don't keep up with my typing skills. Also, the nurse can be lax with the medication.

17 Aug 2026 14:37:03
Thought it was too good to be true, Buggers.

17 Aug 2026 07:46:43
If Everton can get a reasonable loan to buy for Liam Delap, I think we should take it, the lad is getting a bit of stick for how bad it's gone at Chelsea, but I think he could be a proper Everton striker given the opportunity, he probably feels.

He has something to prove, Duncan Ferguson came to Everton in similar circumstances, the fans love taking an outcast in..anybody is free to ridicule this comment if they do so wish, but please make a donation to charity as a form of atonement.

Agree5 Disagree0

17 Aug 2026 08:32:50
A loan deal is best all round. He really can't be worse than the two we have up top, and if it doesn't work out you send him back, with time running out, I think Delap is looking more likely.

17 Aug 2026 09:31:52
Can he play right back?

17 Aug 2026 10:38:09
I would agree, I think it could be worth a punt. Signing someone who has the physical attributes to compete in the Prem, that has bags of room to improve, that is English and knows the league and some of the players already, and that has a point to prove makes sense to me.

17 Aug 2026 11:00:48
Like mentioned. He's no worse than what we have.

Barry is more promising out of the two, so if we can get rid of Beto and bring in Delap it's an upgrade, I think. How much of an upgrade I don't know.

We need to remember we have no European football to attract teams. All we have is a project and the new stadium, so it's always going to be difficult.

Time is running out so we can't be too picky.

17 Aug 2026 11:44:21
We are back in for Yilmaz, £41 million second bid.

17 Aug 2026 13:42:56
And Richy.

17 Aug 2026 14:43:08
Ricky over Delap all day. He turned us down, so no thanks. He wanted Chelsea, so leave him to rot!

17 Aug 2026 15:15:08
Ricky is definitely not the answer - he's a record holder s just as bad as Barry and Beto - need someone who can actually score.

17 Aug 2026 16:22:24
I really like Yilmaz, just not sure where he will play, unless Ndiaye moves over to the right. Would then have Dibling, George, and Johnson as back up. Midfield well covered, so just need a striker now.

17 Aug 2026 19:10:49
He knows the country and the league and has proven consistently, bar 1 season, that he is not very good at scoring goals.

I don't agree that we can't attract players because we have no Europe. There are plenty of teams that do not have Europe that have been able to bring strikers in.

The likes of Lemperle, Pellegrino, Krstovic, Promise David, Kevin Denkey, would all jump at the chance to move to the PL.

This is what we would be getting:

17 Aug 2026 06:43:25
Moyes was at the Burnley game last night. Supposedly to look at Zian Fletcher who got the two goals against West Ham.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Aug 2026 08:24:06
Well, he is a Moyes type of forward. Runs around a lot, works hard and can't head a ball.

17 Aug 2026 09:20:09
Or Zian Flemming perhaps? ?

17 Aug 2026 09:32:37
If Beto goes and Fleming is his replacement, I would take that and go for Parrot too, probably get them both for the £50m Chelsea want for Delap, plus the money used for Beto could go someway to the cost.

17 Aug 2026 10:47:20
Defence needs sorting first, Moyes must know this, been in the game long enough, build from the back, a good defence wins you trophies.

17 Aug 2026 11:04:52
I'm hoping Fletcher is a secret right back they have. Thanks for correcting.

17 Aug 2026 11:49:26
? Me too!... ?

17 Aug 2026 15:38:10
Parrot off to Beth's, so that defo not happening. Not saying we were in for him.

17 Aug 2026 18:57:47
Does Beth know he's on his way to hers?

16 Aug 2026 22:41:01
Scotland job gone bugger.

16 Aug 2026 22:33:59
Bugger! Scotland name their new manager and it's not Moyes. Bugger!

Everton are considering a summer move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr as they search for a long-term replacement for Idrissa Gueye. According to Transfer News Live.

16 Aug 2026 21:42:53
Can't see it, we have plenty of cover in the middle.

17 Aug 2026 09:27:45
Unless we are using Rohl/Garner as full back cover.

16 Aug 2026 20:41:47
Sarr from Spurs on our radar.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Aug 2026 00:25:15
With the season opener not far away, I'm kind of resigned that we may not get the right back we are craving. As a few on here have already pointed out, I'm thinking if what we have left in the coffers is really tight, then I would love Richardson coming back to us and making do with Rohl/JOB/possibly Garner to fill the void at right back this season.

In an ideal world I would love a striker and I pick Richarlison every day compared to Delap, but if the number crunching is that tight, what would you rather have, say Daniel Munoz in permanently and say a delay on loan, or Richy in for a permanent deal and juggle the right back situation.

16 Aug 2026 19:17:19
Reading that Tim is wanted by Mo Salah's new team, Trabzonspor.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Aug 2026 20:24:28
Now reading they want a loan deal that has been turned down by Everton.

16 Aug 2026 21:14:59
Do Turkish teams ever buy players?

17 Aug 2026 07:27:27
They do buy players but then try not to pay. Like buying a TV off the gratten catalog and then moving house.
They're dodgy at best but it does make me chuckle. ?

16 Aug 2026 17:55:56
Everton ready to launch move for Ben White as Ezri Konsa closes in Arsenal switch. Surely my fellow Evertonians this is a typical Moyes kind of signing.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Aug 2026 18:11:28
Take him in a heartbeat.

16 Aug 2026 18:21:27
Stronger squad with him than without him.

16 Aug 2026 18:43:43
Why is he a typical DM signingmate, good player, will go straight into the side.

16 Aug 2026 18:57:27
Perhaps we'd see Keane depart if he came in.

16 Aug 2026 19:26:41
Cracking player, but didn't he have a full game for Arsenal today?

16 Aug 2026 19:57:30
Would be a quality signing. He's a brilliant player.

16 Aug 2026 20:27:12
Improves our team/squad in various positions.

16 Aug 2026 20:36:13
Ben White, big & strong, good defensively, and miles better than any current player we have as a Rb. Big doubt about his fitness, imo. If he comes it will make us better, but I don't get why we are paying for guys at end of their career and then paying extra in wages instead of getting youngsters with so much potential and future massive sell on transfer fee, such as Barca's Fort.

We did it with Aznou, only 8 million, and even though he's not really played, his stock must have risen.
Until we do get a Rb though it's all paper talk and rumours.

16 Aug 2026 23:36:24
Hardly at the end of his career at 28, but would have little resale, but he's in his prime years.
He can also play cb and dm, and is an intelligent footballer.
But I feel we need two unless the plan is to convert Rohl.
I actually really like Fort and think he's a very versatile footballer, and is considerably cheaper, but then White would not need to acclimatise to the pace of the Prem.

Could we get both and be greedy? Would be able to include White in the cb depth.

17 Aug 2026 07:31:31
Just us not to have a Rb since Spurs won the league, then sign two in a fortnight. ? ?
