Ed25. I know you are not briefed on all that's going on behind the seanes, but from those you talk to, does Moyes have the final word on transfers, or is there some friction between him and the recruitment team.?

I find whatever the current set up is really strange. We all know a "Moyes Signing" when we see one (KDH, Hackney etc. all textbook) , but what's the point in it being a team effort if Moyes will just decide not to play the ones he didn't want?

I genuinely believe teams were run better when the managers had the final say on all transfers. I know, every now and again, a club might have a player the manager doesn't want to let go, but then finances mean the club steps in and says it has to happen, but recruitment teams bring business as a priority, whereas managers just want to build the best team they can.

That's why Fergie did so well with United, he had the most power in those board meetings, and everyone knows it.

At least if we know he signs them, it's on his head. Pretty rare for managers to be given this power these days. Rightly, I think, as the club has to function when managers are frequently sacked.

Club have internally been discussing loan deals for either Nicholas Jackson or Delap (the latter who is now attracting interest from Como) , but Moyes also very keen on Jarrod Bowen too and keen to make a late offer in the window for him.

All a bit up in the air right now whilst a right back is also still on the agenda. Club expecting a couple more moves late in the window.

14 Aug 2026 19:13:02
Bowen is defo off the table. He said he's staying at the Hammers. Which rb are being discussed? They will miss out on all their targets unless they commit. Just get it done already.

14 Aug 2026 19:18:13
Fort could be going to Dortmund, so we will probably end up with Walker.

14 Aug 2026 19:19:49
Bowen has said he doesn't want his West Ham legacy being relegated. Respect to the bloke.

3

14 Aug 2026 20:45:30
When your father-in-law is West Ham superfan Danny Dyer, there's not a chance you're leaving the Hammers.

It's good that the club are having internal discussions, Elvis, but do you know if they are having these with people outside the club? Most notably, other teams who we may need to buy players from.

14 Aug 2026 13:02:47
Good. Tim staying as well, good.

1

14 Aug 2026 13:34:48
Can see us going with the 2 donkeys we have at the moment.

2

14 Aug 2026 13:36:58
Means we will keep Beto. Hopefully the Tim deal might still be on according to Toffee TV. Use the money for a rb please.

1

14 Aug 2026 14:11:18
A lot of posters are doing a lot of 'seeing' this week.

1

14 Aug 2026 14:35:13
Delap to Como. Sounds like an episode of celebrity stars in their eyes.

1

14 Aug 2026 14:36:41
It's a rumour and banter site, try joining in.

2

14 Aug 2026 14:46:31
Tim deal still on?! 15 million for a footballer who can't currently use his legs? šŸ¤”

Moutinho just got off at Lime Street!

0

14 Aug 2026 14:43:41
Giroud was in the building, but then his missus dragged him out by his ear.

14 Aug 2026 10:09:03
Palace have just signed a new wingback.
Munoz on his way?

14 Aug 2026 11:27:18
Heard Spurs may be keen too?

0

14 Aug 2026 12:34:36
To Forest, probably!

Surely not with Porro there, JB? Would take him from them all day.

1

13 Aug 2026 15:53:18
The club has been discussing internally about making moves late in the window for either Delap on loan or Nicolas Jackson, Beto might be going out on loan or being sold possibly and Moyes feels that there needs to be a replacement in through the door in that instance despite Barry’s impressive early pre-season form, we shall see.

3

13 Aug 2026 16:26:50
Jackson all day, but it will be Delap. Anything on a fullbacks Elvis?

2

13 Aug 2026 16:48:54
Good info again, Elvis, keep it coming, mate.

3

13 Aug 2026 16:54:03
Great to hear we are looking at options up front Elvis. I'd take Delap or Jackson on loan. I remember a previous Chelsea striker we loaned turned out to be pretty decent..

More importantly, like Dev says, what about a rb? The fact you have no news suggests it's Rohl with O'Brien as backup. Hmmmmmm.

2

13 Aug 2026 20:05:59
Actually, I just watched some clips of Jackson, doesn't look as good as I thought.

3

13 Aug 2026 20:51:28
We've been hearing this for a while now.

4

13 Aug 2026 22:21:51
Not Broja then, BR2526. šŸ˜‚

3

14 Aug 2026 06:58:44
I completely forgot about him ST he was that poor!

1

14 Aug 2026 09:30:40
Can't knock Broja, mate, the lad hit the ground running.. well, technically, he hit the ground shooting, but I'm sure it means the same thing.

2

13 Aug 2026 09:34:56
Hector Fort now being linked be a good signing if we can get it done. šŸ‘

6

13 Aug 2026 10:00:44
Think this is more like a signing Moyes is looking at rather than Munoz. Despite criticism, Moyes is building a really good young base of talent. I think, although Munoz is an established great player, his time playing first team is limited.

If we got a 20-year-old from Barca, that would be a great investment. I'm impressed with how the squad is growing and likes of Barry, Dibling, George, Hackney and Armstrong are going to have a big season.

5

13 Aug 2026 11:26:12
On the left hand side, didn't we get a 20 year old from Bayern? That's not exactly worried as it though.

1

13 Aug 2026 11:51:24
Looks like that Celtic rb is injured again. Best stay away from him.

5

13 Aug 2026 13:02:07
How is it limited? He has just turned 30 and is comfortably one of the fittest and most durable players in the entire league.

Even if we get 3 years out of him, for 18m, it would represent a decent investment.

He is proven in the league and is easily in the top 5 RB's.

This deal is a no brainer and as good a prospect as Fort looks, I would take Munoz of him every day of the week.

7

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i have not seen much of Fort but im a massive fan of Munoz BN, im not that confident of him coming though mate as he does not fit the profile of a Moyes type full back mate..

1

13 Aug 2026 13:56:46
Fort is a classy young player who likes to get forward. So if Moyes isn't keen on the way Munoz plays, then Fort is also a non-starter.

1

13 Aug 2026 14:35:32
Other than Timber at Arsenal, don't think there are any better rightbacks in the prem, and can't believe he is actually still at Palace if I'm being honest.

0

13 Aug 2026 13:57:37
Agree Ed. He would be loved by our fans as well as he works his absolute betty swollocks off for the shirt and is always looking to be on the front foot - exactly what we love.

Think it is ridiculous that he can't adapt to him when a player of his calibre is available mate.

He would revolutionise the team and would unlock so much space for Ndiaye to hurt teams.

2

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i agree BN..

1

13 Aug 2026 15:35:05
Munoz is a proven Prem quality RB but I don't think he was ever on our radar otherwise we'd have approached earlier in the window or used him as part of the exchange with McNeil.

We are being linked with every RB going these days.

The press know we are desperate, and we should have sorted this problem area two windows ago.

I'd take either Fort or Munoz but we know it'll be O'Brien or Rohl starting there against Palace.

1

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - im expecting our back 4 to be Rohl, Tarks, Jarrad and Myko BR, jake and Keano on the bench..

1

13 Aug 2026 16:56:21
I think you may be right Ed. If so, we need to crack some heads together in the recruitment team.

They had one main job!

1

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i have no faith in them at all BR..

13 Aug 2026 22:30:03
Munoz is the Premier League ready and adapted signing.
The talk around Fort seems hot at the moment, and a lot of links with Dedic, although he's also linked heavily with Newcastle, to the point there are reports that they have agreed personal terms.

Personally, I would take any of them. Fort does offer versatility to play other roles, as does Dedic.
Fort was really good on loan at Elche last season and even after an injury came back strong and productive.

0

12 Aug 2026 19:46:25.
Wan Bassaka Terms agreed?

1

12 Aug 2026 20:16:10
Who with?

1

12 Aug 2026 20:18:33
I read it was Villa.

0

12 Aug 2026 20:32:58
So that's 2 down then. Now it's between Munoz, Norton Cuffy, that Greek lad is 47vithers, we've been linked with.

0

13 Aug 2026 17:17:10
And Spence gone for only 25 million. We really are skint.

12 Aug 2026 15:16:42
Munoz to Everton now just a Moyes decision, journalist claims.
Everton’s move for Daniel Munoz has reportedly been reduced to a single obstacle: David Moyes making up his mind.

What’s holding things up, in Nixon’s words, is Moyes needing to ā€œcommit to the Colombianā€ despite concerns he ā€œmay not fit snugly into his way of playing.ā€

2

12 Aug 2026 15:57:53
Sounds like an opinion piece as I doubt Moyes would say anything.

Smoke and mirrors.

3

12 Aug 2026 16:17:01
"His way of playing"? Not sure what that is. He has me totally confused. Can anyone help please!

0

12 Aug 2026 17:08:27
Moyes has decided to try Patterson. Looks like Wan Bassaka is off elsewhere, I'm wondering if Moyes is digging his heels in for Doue still.

2

12 Aug 2026 21:05:13
As time is going on Ed, you may well be right.
Could it be anyone out of Patterson, Rohl, Garner or OBrien to cover the role.
