On Sky website

Arnaut Danjuma has agreed to join Everton on a loan deal from Villarreal.

It's expected he will undergo a medical today.

the loan feeto be around £3.5m.

Danjuma was very close to joining the club in January, but decided to join Tottenham.

Yep it was done yesterday.

2.) 20 Jul 2023 13:00:00
Not sure I'm over the moon given he left us high and dry in Jan, but will give the lad the benefit of the doubt, probably more likely we forgot to return his call and he went to Spurs instead?
Next job is to see if we have got any better at Medicals as our habit of signing players susceptible to injury cannot carry on!

3.) 20 Jul 2023 13:15:34
He'll be in a Villa shirt by tea time ?.

4.) 20 Jul 2023 19:21:01
Don’t be ridiculous dentie… he’ll be in a West Ham shirt.

5.) 21 Jul 2023 10:54:54
I'm happy if he comes to us, at the end of the day it's not our given right to have a player, it's not his problem our club is right terrible, if he comes threw the door he will get my 100% backing.

16 Jan 2023 13:22:20
Do we read anything into Dyche being at the Wolves v West Ham match? Was he looking at the hammers ready for this weekend, maybe Franks replacement OR was he watching the hammers as potential Moyes replacement? Or just enjoying a football match ?.

Blueforyou

1.) 16 Jan 2023 13:43:39
I hope not Moyes replacement as we might get Moyes. Why swap a bottom manager for another one?

2.) 16 Jan 2023 13:58:58
Probably just playing devil's advocate Blueforyou ?.

3.) 16 Jan 2023 13:59:02
“Or just enjoying a football match” ?
If he wanted to enjoy a football match could think of far better games to go and watch.

4.) 16 Jan 2023 14:22:28
Franks replacement is our only hope mate.

5.) 16 Jan 2023 15:13:22
Forget Ancellotti so telk me who have we had better than Moyes?

6.) 16 Jan 2023 15:47:22
Probably watching our next opponent's so he knows what formation he is going to use.

7.) 16 Jan 2023 16:18:26
DFS, going on win percentages,
Howard Kendall (first spell)
Harry catterick
Colin Harvey
Roberto Martinez
All had better win percentage than moyes.

You then have Koeman and silva who had similar win percentages to him.

The way Moyes left and then tried to get our players on the cheap - he’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!

8.) 16 Jan 2023 16:37:25
Totally agree Gingerdan Moyes was a very very naughty boy. However, I'd like to think I call a spade a spade and statistics can be very misleading if some context is not taken.

Moyes was manager for 11 years, 11. Of the other managers you mentioned who was manager of Everton longer and was in charge for more games? In mu humble opinion the best way to judge a manager and its still not perfect, is if he leaves the club better off than he found it. Moyes certainly done that. Because we were going down when he took over. Naturally his back was against the wall and results would prove that. Never had much of a budget either. Yet left us with the best standings we had pretty much since the 80's.

11 years cannot be compared to a manager who had only 2 or 3 years. Who also inherited a better squad and financial situation. Moyes had neither brought us to challenging at the very top. A better measure of Moyes time at Everton I feel would be his statistics for the last say 5 years. He had then pretty much everything his own as he had spent 6 years here previously.

Statistics are good if looked at in a proper context in my opinion but can be used to sque things to look a certain way. As I said I like to think I call a spade a spade. In regard to Moyes after he left the club absolutely atrocious his attitude to Everton F. C.

I'd imagine he regrets all of that because it seems it came back to bite him in they a*s. He hasn't lasted anywhere since. Doesn't look like he will either. Can't see how bringing him back would bring us forward much either. His time here in my opinion Everton got a lot out of. As I mentioned we were much much better off when he left than when he took over. I remember exactly when he took over we were bottom and doomed. When he left it was regurelarly muted you had your top 6 and Everton were the best of the rest. Some even argued we were as good as one or two of the top six.

Where are we now? Been downhill since he left for me.

9.) 16 Jan 2023 16:38:36
Agree good would not want him anywhere near our Club.

10.) 16 Jan 2023 17:09:14
Definitely don't want him back but do agree with pretty much everything NBTB says, as for trying to buy our players on the cheap i don't think he had much to do with the bids Utd made however, he did suggest that we where holding the players back.

11.) 16 Jan 2023 18:06:05
So it’s Monday evening and FL still in charge. WTH.

So if their giving him West Ham game, regardless of that result they must be intending to give him arsenal and Liverpool games too.

So here goes, draw or lose “just” to West Ham, lose badly to arsenal, then get a draw with Liverpool - great performance - city esc et al - and he stays on. Repeat. Lose Leeds game and they finally get rid. No replacement lined up - give to Bainsy - too late we are already doomed and transfer window shut.

I truly give up.

12.) 16 Jan 2023 18:30:02
One bit of advise I give to anyone leaving their employer, always leave on good terms because if you are on the way down you never know if you might need their help to get back up. This applies everywhere and includes football management.

13.) 16 Jan 2023 19:16:18
Totally Brian21.

14.) 16 Jan 2023 19:55:24
So reading here the last few weeks, forum posters want Moyes or Dyche. A manager relegated from his last job and not interviewed let alone offered a job in the 9 months since and then to Moyes who's West Ham have blown up in spectacular style, worse than us relatively. Oh the ambition. I guess if these are the noises coming from fans, it makes sense FM has come out and made a song and dance about ignoring the fans after admitting years of listening to (us) . Poch short contract to end of season £5m? I'm sure he would have more pulling power than either of the calamities most appear to want. Actually FL has more pulling power, What a joke a deluded joke.

15.) 16 Jan 2023 20:37:14
Moyes left to go to a bigger club no one can argue that. Players would want to move if they have any ambition so understand why he said we were holding them back and the only negative were the bids and they were by Man Utd because we were a club with no money!
I have nothing but good things to say about Moyes and would love him back. However I hope he doesn’t come because he would be blamed for taking us down and these issues all stem from moshiri and the last 7 years of complete incompetence! Would tarnish everything good he did for us which was to sign potential, work with them and improve them and turn a profit. Something we haven’t done since he left.

{Ed025's Note - i dont want him back Richris but for different reasons, the guy is a treacherous scum bag who held us back for years then tried to steal our players at bargain prices, he thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence but was found out for what he is..a complete fraud, his career has nosedived ever since which proves to me...there is a god..

16.) 16 Jan 2023 21:27:45
Formerly Brown shoes who is saying they want Moyes back? Only one I see saying that is Rlchris1982 who posted after you on this thread. I know you said the past few weeks but still don't see many saying wanting him back. Plenty saying they want Dyche. Totally agree with Poch. Would be my pick for definite.

I have nothing but admiration for Moyes and his 11 years that in my opinion helped the club but I don't want him back. Would just end in tears. Agree with Rlchris that he bought players for profit. Didn't he sign Beckford for free and then sold him for £5m in one season. After he was the top scorer for that season. Not 100% sure on all that but that was the jist of it.

Obviously respect your view on Moyes Ed025 and totally agree with the treacherous part. I have to ask though how do you think he held us back for years? There is maybe one way I can think of how he did but interested in your view on how he did.

{Ed025's Note - the way we approached meetings with the bigger teams NBTB, i dont recall us ever beating one and his "taking a knife to a gunfight"analogy, we were better than that but he was so negative mate..

17.) 16 Jan 2023 22:09:40
Yea I was thinking along those lines alright. I would have to agree he could of been more open. In my opinion that's why Martinez done so well in his first season. He just opened up Moyes squad which improved them in the short term. Then he couldn't sustain it when players were not replaced like Distin for example.

Perhaps Moyes took us as far as he could and we needed a manager with forward thinking to kick us on further. Like having money never seemed to suit Moyes either. Like spending at the top end type player. Not like the buys he made of Coleman, Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka. He made them so much better.

What I find interesting is no one ever or very rarely mentions Marco Silva when discussing past managers. Probably because he got so little time. Wasn't a massive supporter of his because his track record in defense left much to be desired. But always felt out of all the managers he was the one that probably deserved more time. Look at Fulham and no one mentions him.

{Ed025's Note - you make some very fair points mate..

18.) 17 Jan 2023 00:30:14
Ed I completely agree Moyes could have been more ambitious against the big teams but think he worked miracles on a shoe string and completely over performed across his time with us.
I would love poch as first choice but realistically he isn’t coming anywhere near Everton, and of the managers stupid enough to consider us Moyes would be my choice. Yes he hasn’t exactly been successful since he left but worked miracles with West Ham again. The issue is Moyes needs total control to sign solid unspectacular workhorses but that is what we need right now. Not sure anyone wants that long term but I just want to stay in the premier league and think he would do that.

{Ed025's Note - we all have our choices richris and its down to personal opinion i suppose, i just dont like the guy for the contempt he showed when he left mate..

19.) 17 Jan 2023 13:48:12
My view Lescott one of the best LB's I have seen. Unfortunately his Managers/ coaches didn't see it.

Not a great start at all. For me it was wrong selection, should have started Ndiaye, Lindstrom and O'Brien. I have lost faith in SD, we have a decent squad with plenty of attacking ability, we just need to get the selection right. Why not be brave and bring Potter in now, yes SD did great last season but I think he has taken us as far as he can. Looking at today this could be a long season!

Embarrassing and inept, this team got ripped apart from the first whistle with one of the worst performances I have seen from an Everton team in a long time. I have supported our great club since 1967 and cannot remember a season when I felt so depressed about a team, when I constantly think where are our goals coming from, when will we get another point and more importantly when will we get rid of our manager who is totally out of his depth. We need to rip this team apart. I can see at least 6 who need to be sold and we need young players who wish to play for us, who can actually play football and of course we need a manager who has ideas and can implement them. I am sorry to say but I think we are going down this season, but it just might be the best for us. Rebuild and hopefully come back a better team who deserve to be in the PL.

Blueforyou

1.) 16 Apr 2024 08:55:05
Agree with most of what you say. But relegation is never a good thing, and definitely not best for the club.

2.) 16 Apr 2024 09:39:09
The reality is, if we had our points back we would more than likely be safe. Yes it's not pretty to watch! Hopefully if manage to beat the teams beneath us we will stay up! Its a big ask but it's in the players hands now. The performance last night was awful. It makes you wonder if the player's know more than we do? They weren't playing for the shirt last night. My biggest fear is that we will go into liquidation.

3.) 16 Apr 2024 11:17:12
Stop talking absolute nonsense. Going down will be the best thing for us are you nuts or something. Going down could be the end of us for ever. Going down will never ever ever be a good thing. We want to stay up move stadium get rid of this plonker and get a proper manager in who will steer us through the next few seasons then the sky is the limit. Everton has a lot going for them but relegation isn’t one of them. Can’t believe you think going down is good. How are we supposed to pay for anything if we go down. Stay up sack this twit and move on. Relegation means administration bankrupt no more Everton. Wise up its attitudes like this that’s causing the problems. Just get a manager who has an idea about football. Last 5 managers have been bad bad signings and the fans wanted them. Lampard Dyche and tbh some people on here are a joke yous cried to get Dyche in. Ed25 was his biggest cheer leader you reep what you sow guys.

4.) 16 Apr 2024 11:59:41
The task was survival and he who I can't name is doing that. As pointed out add the points back and we'd already be safe. However who wants to turn up tune in and blankly stand sit and stare at this game after game. We don't have a top 6 squad but we definitely have a top 12 one and with a much more pure form of football we'd at least have a dozen or so games a season where we can be half proud to be an Evertonian and have some matches where we actually deserve our points. SD has given us 1 game. Yes facts 1 game last season against Brighton. Everything else has been negative communist repression football. No. its not football. Last night post match he was banging on about "make a tackle" looked to me that some of our players were trying to hurt Chelsea players with some very bad tackles. This isn't why I like football and this isn't football anymore. We are a touch melancholy as a fanbase and we've always swung to "it's over were down" it's been the reason we as a fanbase got Koeman and Silva the sack prematurely. We have and always will be capable of beating the drop but not like this. It doesn't have to be this.

At the moment I cannot see us bringing anybody in, we could have spent our money on Beto. I hope I am wrong and we can get a creative midfielder and a left back.

Blueforyou

1.) 01 Sep 2023 17:56:12
Isn't the deal with Beto that we don't have to pay anything up front or for another couple of months.

2.) 01 Sep 2023 18:10:43
Beto deals does not have to be payed until april 2024 i beleive.

02 May 2023 10:22:36
Draw was a fair result last night but I feel we needed to win to stay up. Looking at all the remaining fixtures (through blue tinted glasses) I have Leicester getting 3 points, Leeds getting 2, Forest getting 3 and us getting 4, which means we stay up on goal difference. Will that actually happen, who knows, last night was the pivotal game and if we had won we stay up but now. fingers crossed time.

Blueforyou

1.) 02 May 2023 15:09:20
If we won we stay up? Nope if we won it's in our own hands. It doesn't mean we stay up, anything can happen in the next few weeks, it's going down to the wire, i'm not even confident last game of the season, we'd beat Bournemouth in order to stay up, . if I'm honest.

01 May 2023 17:41:27
So nervous for tonight's game. If we lose I think we are gone but if we can win then the escape is well and truly on. I have supported this great club since 1967 and cannot remember being this nervous, even when we beat Wimbledon on the final day. Let's hope the lads turn up, roll their sleeves up and get stuck in and with some luck we can get the result we want COYB.

Blueforyou

1.) 01 May 2023 17:50:56
I Remember that Wimbledon game, some game eh mate.

2.) 01 May 2023 17:51:16
I feel your nervousness, supporting the Toffees since 1966 and this is the worst feeling I have. I recall the Wimbledon game, 15:00 kick off, I took myself into the garden to finish laying a patio. Just the radio on in the background and me sweating like a pig through anxiety and hard graft.
We pulled it off that day and I was thinking of getting in to the garden again to do some hard graft under floodlights, unfortunately I’m just not up to it in 2023, and feel I’d be putting in more effort than the team.

3.) 01 May 2023 18:07:30
Same her Blue. Been supporting since 1968 and I am shattered this season. No nails left and the wine cellar is down to the last couple of bottles which might not last the night depending on how the game goes. Still have faith that miracles can happen. UTFT.

4.) 01 May 2023 18:20:54
That Wimbledon game was so corrupt. going to take some more back handers to keep our status.

5.) 01 May 2023 19:05:57
Blue you mention luck. That’ll be key tonight. We never seem to get any so I reckon we are overdue something. Here’s hoping and praying.

The problem with selling the stadium is we become tenants only, probably paying to use the stadium and getting a lot less revenue back so the new stadium does not help us financially. For me it would be better if we own it and use it for more than just football and increase revenue.
