I haven't posted for several weeks, as following the abysmal transfer window, out of respect I decided to give Moyes a chance.

This has been extremely difficult as I wasn't bothered when he left, didn't want him back, wanted him gone after we stayed up and wanted him gone at the end of last season. So you could say that I'm firmly in the Moyes out camp.

I think it's fair to say that our early results papered over the cracks. The last couple of games have only confirmed what many of us considered to be the serial failings of our manager and has proven that our particular Leopard can't change his spots.

I won't go over old ground as his numerous failings have been highlighted by many of us over a considerable period of time.

If it were possible I would love to know the answer to a few questions, namely I knew that Barry was s___e before we signed him and he is still s___e now, so why did Moyes persuade him to join us by telling him that he was good enough to play in the Premier League? What does Dibling have to do to get a start? He is far superior to Johnson.

We really must've been desperate to get rid of McNeil if the only way we could do so was to swap for an absolutely bang average player. I honestly believe that Palace got the better of the deal. Hackney also is a class player who deserves a chance, as does George in the striker role.

Why end our search for a right back by signing Maitland Niles who everyone knows is a midfielder who has filled in as a right back? and obviously why give Mykolenko a new contract when he is crap and then not even provide him with any competition? and why is Kinnear still at the club.

It's certainly not too late to put things right and we have the solutions within the squad to get us through to January and beyond. I just don't feel that the man at the helm has the guts or ability to do so.

And who on earth are you proposing as this saviour that will take us back to the top table? I am a fan of Moyes but am the first to admit his shortcomings. However, in the scenario we are currently in with a paper thin squad and owners who won't invest as they want to move on, we need someone who knows the club and has the pedigree to keep us in the division.

Anyone who thinks this season will be anything other than another relegation battle is in La-la land and this is not the time to be trying to play expansive aggressive pressing football, especially we don't have the calibre of player to do that!

We all love the club GB but I really wonder what motivates Moyes. Also Baines is a highly respected modern coach. I wonder if Moyes actually listens to him.

Welcome aboard mate.

Are we going to judge our season on games against Chelsea and Arsenal? After the window we had, any sensible fan would have accepted mid table mediocrity, which we're well on track for. Forget the result today, I thought we gave them a game, could have been a different result with a few rubs of the green.

I'm judging our season on how we finished last season and how we have done so far. Remind me how many games have we actually won?

1

25 Oct 2026 01:08:37
Paper thin squad yet he still doesn't utilise the subs bench. Strange approach.

1

25 Oct 2026 07:20:41
No body's judging this season on results it the team he picks same setting every week when we have better options not getting a look in. Hackney dibling obrien the loaning of aznou george alcaraz all player that would make us more competitive the way they tried to sell Armstrong to forest of all teams as if the lad wanted to go to forest constantly playing barry he can't control a football when the 1 player that could dcl was released for free the list goes on we're getting our pants pulled down.

Let's hope we get new owners sooner rather than later as I can't see the Freidkins getting rid of Moyes until they've sold then go all out for Howe and a big change of strategy and style of play love the way the gaffer has got his team playing at Brighton this season too but probably wouldn't be able to get him in with them flying so high.

2

24 Oct 2026 19:21:34
We'll be in the bottom three before any of this happens.

It's like everton have an agreement with the super league 6 not to have ambitions to break up the party whoever manager we've had since ancelloti they've played the same crap tactics with young players not prem ready crap players played out of position being defence minded 10 men behind ball sell best players cheap get an ambitious manager in for once everton nobody wants to see the last 10 + years of survival start attacking the opposition every team loves playing everton robotic tactics.

24 Oct 2026 18:55:57
Richy please come home.

24 Oct 2026 21:14:58
There's no way the Freidkins will sack Moyse whilst they have the club up for sale. To get a buyer, they have to show that the Club is on a stable footing, and you don't do that by sacking your incumbent Manager, and taking a chance with a new one. Whilst we all have our frustrations with Moyse, he is seen, and respected, by people in the game, as a safe pair of hands.

I think the Frieidkins have let the Club down and I'm sure Moyse must have been given assurances about transfer funds which have not materialised. In a word, he's been stuffed.

That said, I don't like his style of play or, often, his team selections, and ideally, we would have new owners and a new Manager for next season. In the meantime, I think we'll just have to keep the faith, support the team and hope that we don't get sucked into a relegation battle. The fixtures against the newly promoted teams are critical to us staying up.

We are in talks for Rashford apparently.

Hackney Dibling have to play. Along with Armstrong and George we have good young players. What we need is a manager brave enough to play them.
Push Garner back to left back and keep Rohl who had a decent game at right back. Play Armstrong and Hackney in the centre they are the future, with Dibling and George out wide.

Buy a bloody striker in the window and keep Barry on the bench well away from the first team.
What do we want for Christmas. New owners, new manager and a new striker for starters.
Otherwise our new motto will be : NOTHING!

6

24 Oct 2026 17:58:20
Have to say when Dibling and Hackney came on we actually looked a better balanced side and those two along with Harrison looked a lot more comfortable on the ball, and looked to go forward with it. Garner has been off it so far this season and KDH drifts in and out the game but with better players around him is still a threat.

We need a manager who is going to trust these players and allow them to play. We have the core of a good young team but we have to be brave enough to play them, and that won't happen with Moyes.

I seen comments on here during the window about not bringing Richy home.

I tell you what he's far better than any attack minded player we have at the moment.

If the Frekins are as smart as many previously said, how come now the story seems to be that the reason for the sale, is that they grossly underestimated the need for investment to fully rebuild the club.

On it's face, new stadium, large fan base, would seem to offer massive potential, so please, someone please explain, why they suddenly got cold feet?

0

22 Oct 2026 21:27:08
I have no expertise in this, but i think they saw us as a business - and understood what was needed to balance some books, mitigate some debts, finish the stadium etc. but didn't realise just how much went into taking a Prem team from relegation threatened to Europe.

Add on top of that that the fans were pretty furious at basically everything they did, i don't blame them for realising it's a lost cause and wanting out.

2

22 Oct 2026 21:28:11
Maybe after what happened to city and seeing how bad the Premier League is run, they now realize that they cannot over spend and invest in the squad, to be honest if I was a billionaire a football club in the Premier League is the last thing I would invest in at the moment.

0

22 Oct 2026 21:46:38
Or maybe they realised what a mug Moshiri was and how they could turn a quick profit. More money towards Roma's new stadium.

0

23 Oct 2026 08:21:49
They bought the club to flip it. They've never set foot in it and never intend to. Romas their baby and we were a side hustle.

23 Oct 2026 09:56:12
Purely business related to make a fast buck.

There's quite a good video on YouTube with Henry Winter and Christian Purslow discussing this very topic. It's an interesting listen.

Ace, no pun intended, mate, but your post is right on the money.

1

23 Oct 2026 16:58:10
You get better value for money in scudetto series a wages aren't as high transfer fees are lower less agents taking 20%and the Premier League is so overrated full of cheats n fly by nights that's probably why.

A mate of mine who is very good friends with someone at the club, not mention any names, has told me apparently DM has lost the dressing room, don't shoot the messenger I'm just repeating what I was told.

5

21 Oct 2026 11:34:02
I can believe that mate, DM does not look happy these days more a Bulldog chewing a Wasp.

6

21 Oct 2026 13:02:51
Maybe it's due to HD being so big and still fairly new. He will soon get used to the way there.

6

21 Oct 2026 13:16:35
Hopefully not.

21 Oct 2026 15:01:38
I found it really easy when I went there, perhaps they need to put some direction signs up for him.

1

21 Oct 2026 15:13:45
I think he knows how to get there; he just recognises 11 or so people in the place, and the rest are guys he means to get to know maybe sometime in the future. That's only if he feels like it.

1

21 Oct 2026 21:38:05
No surprise. Can't imagine why anyone would be happy playing under him.

That said, what exactly would have to happen for him to go? Can't imagine the owners will want the faff of finding a new one, especially if it potentially alters the perceived value of the club to potential buyers.

Think the vaguely positive start we've had is about to go pretty sour.

1

20 Oct 2026 10:16:22
Just a quick question if Barry has missed the most goal chances does that mean we're creating lots of goal opportunities for him to miss plus the goals he's actually scored?
Following on from that if we're creating lots of goal opportunities does that mean we're playing boring defensive football?
Had the recruitment been better and we'd got a decent striker in (obviously not Balogun with his fitness issues and only just started playing) where would we be? Maybe if we get someone that can score goals when the window opens we might convert a few more chances into goals and thereby draws into wins and losses into draws.

Standby I'm getting into the strange world of optimism, forget it, it will never happen let's sack everyone and be happy fighting relegation!

20 Oct 2026 11:42:45
Before spending more money on dud strikers I'd try alcaraz there great shot on him good feet and he's quick some manager years ago decided to try their midfielder tiery Henry up front and bingo he scored lots of goals.

2

20 Oct 2026 12:07:32
Apparently he's missed 12 great goals this season the worst of any striker in the prem, just imagine in half of those had gone in, time to try Alcaraz or George or Hackney or Dibling anything but that useless xxxx.

3

20 Oct 2026 13:13:53
Thinking back to the Wolves win in the cup. He had a few chances in that game which was looking like going to pens until Alcaraz came on and put away his only chance.

They say you can only make broth with the bones you have got, but Moyes is even getting that wrong. Put Alcaraz on after 60 mins and see if we can replicate what happened at Wolves!?

3

21 Oct 2026 10:27:26
Yes, GB, I would say that is a whopping great elephant in the room mate.

0

22 Oct 2026 10:23:57
We are creating opportunities for Barry. He's had 25 shots and scored 3 goals, so he's had plenty of chances. To put it into comparison, Haaland has had 27 shots and scored 8, while Isak has 17 and 5, João Pedro 16 and 5, and DCL 14 and 4.

Barry's 12% conversion rate means he scores roughly 1 goal for every 8 shots, compared with around 1 in 3 for the others. So I wouldn't blame the service.
We're getting him into positions to score, he's just not converting enough.

After all the positive times we had when FM sold us to TFG we had a bit of hope for a long time, then we had the new stadium and things where looking good with light at the end of the very long tunnel, all i can see now is many months of upheaval and dark times once again for us blues, we need new owners and new manager which are not two a penny, we need at least 6 new top players which are also not easy to find, i think we are in for another though ride and it just seems to go on forever and ever.

5

18 Oct 2026 20:00:23
Same as when Moshiri put us up for sale mate, it seems that Father Christmas really was a red all the time.

3

18 Oct 2026 21:23:19
I remember walking out of Wembley in 1995 and believing that we were looking at a new and exciting era. Since then we have had over 30 years of a few near misses and the rest basically just hanging on.

I like most of you thought that TFG would bring stability and something to be proud about. Well they have stabilized the financial part and should be thanked for that, but here we go again on the merry-go-around.

6

19 Oct 2026 07:45:54
Since 95 the main reason we haven't won a thing is lack of ambition we stood still we were 20 odd years to late in building new ground we've had weak owners that would rather sell our best young talent rather than build something with them in it now we've gone so far backward it's all about survival managers come in with one main goal keep us in the prem and it's job well done so the mindset is let's not get beat we have good young attack minded players that aren't getting a chance alcaraz Hackney dibling it's been the same since we sold arteta for peanuts last second of window.

You're right there Ed mate those were the days.

19 Oct 2026 16:10:51
Yes, many false dawns and, imo, draconian decisions that cut short what I will always believe was the road to 'super star' status.
But hey, here we are again.

1

18 Oct 2026 11:08:06
Gyokeres looking away from Arsenal didn't we try and sign him when he was leaving Coventry.

2

18 Oct 2026 12:25:16
But, would he come to us, and I think Arsenal would demand a fee, outside of our current range, unless TFG, have a lot of spare change.🙏🤑.

1

18 Oct 2026 13:55:15
Cheeky loan offer perhaps.

2

18 Oct 2026 14:04:09
Took a bit to get started at Arsenal but is a good player, I don't know if dithering would put players off signing for us.

1

19 Oct 2026 20:50:13
There's absolutely no chance he would ever sign for us - and if he did, he would be the exact sort of striker who has driven us mad for the last 10 years!

He'll probably go to Napoli or Inter or somewhere like that for £50m in the summer, after a loan deal.
