Everton Accelerate Talks to Sign 'Beast' Forward, £30m Gets Deal Done. This so called beast forward is Liam Delap. You just know Moyes is gonna sign him don't you. 😕😭😭😭🥲🥲😢

Looks like John Stones is off to Inter Milan, looks like he's not coming our way.

Sounds like the tripe spouted by Fabrizio Romano or half a dozen trash websites.

27 Jul 2026 21:39:06
Of the two strikers most recently linked - Delap and Ueda, I know which one I'd prefer, and it wouldn't be Delap. We already have one Moyes choice of failed project striker in Barry, and we don't need a second.

Signing Barry should've been a sackable offence, so not selling him now should be too, even if we have to give him away.

Ornstein fake account by the looks of it.

27 Jul 2026 16:24:16
£64m deal agreed apparently, could be bull.

27 Jul 2026 19:30:40
Earlier this afternoon, we/I published an article reporting that Everton had agreed to sell Iliman Ndiaye to Al Hilal for EUR75m (£64m) .

Unfortunately, this piece was based on a social media report from a fake account impersonating The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

Don't worry dms, I'm still waiting on the £1m promised by a Nigerian prince a few years back.. who'd have thought I needed to send him £20k first? He has promised me it again if I just send him a further £5k to pay for the bank transfer..

😂 BR2526, Love that.

27 Jul 2026 12:21:34
If we sell Ndiaye personally I'll be disappointed. It's defo a good deal for us £ wise but football is entertainment and he is entertaining. We won’t replace him. The excitement when he escapes an impossible situation is the only
exciting thing we ever see.

If we sell and it's Jacob Murphy I'll need a new Sat 3pm hobby.

According to the Bobble, no contact by Al Hilal has been made.

Listen, Blues.
If he wants to leave to go into football obscurity (after we plucked him out of it) , then sell now and get the highest amount we possibly can.
Good riddance.
It's all about money now. Football has lost its appeal for many people as not too many "star players" are interested in trophies/honours.
It's all about image and money.
Football has been rotting away for many years.
It's a circus.

It's barely watchable these days.
Money came into our game like a cancer, and cancer spreads.
I said a long time ago, when the likes of Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey can afford to drive the same lambo as C Ronaldo, then the game as we knew it is long gone.
Pampered millionaires getting as much money and exposure as they can for their Instagram accounts.
There's no incentive anymore except money.

Think they have contacted Ndiaye's agent but not the club. Initial sounding out whether he would be interested in a deal.

I hope Ndiaye stays. We need all the goal threat we can get. I'm semi tempted to keep McNeil if we keep Barry.

0

27 Jul 2026 15:49:54
Well he's been sounding off about how he wants Champions League football, but if he goes to the Saudi League then it really shows that what he really wants is more money, just like the rest of them. They use Champions League as an excuse but it's all about the money.
And do you know what, I don't blame the lad.

His mate Gana has now gone, so why stick around when he can earn millions playing in a nothing league.
Football as we know it is dead. It's now a game played by millionaires, owned by multi millionaires and neither really give a toss about the average supporter.

27 Jul 2026 18:17:37
What worries me more ed025 is who exactly are we going to spend the money on? There isn't exactly a list of 50m players queuing up to play for us
I think at best we'll sign a couple of clubs fringe players who have a year left on their contracts and they won't set the world alight
Moyes won't buy a goalscorer and even if he did (like jelavic) he'll ruin him in one season
Personally I don't want a Def mid
I hate Def Mid's
I want attacking midfielders who know how to shoot from distance or create chances (like arteta/cahill ) but I know we just ain't going to spend that money well

1

27 Jul 2026 20:29:44
Our scouts are useless Ed. They were told to find someone who could tie the opposition up in knots so they have found a 12 year old who does a mean clove hitch, reef knot and bowline

Al Hilal after Ndiaye
Apparently opened talks.

2

26 Jul 2026 20:32:37
Would hate to see him go, but at least Saudi clubs have a tendency to overpay.

4

26 Jul 2026 21:03:42
I'd bite their hand off for 85m, he's good but greedy at times, stats don't flatter him, and he's obviously got s*** of an attitude.

2

26 Jul 2026 22:01:22
Squeeze them for as much as we can. Invest in 3 first teamers.

2

26 Jul 2026 22:03:37
What makes you say he's got a s*** attitude, Ant? Maybe I've missed something, but he works hard, tracks back and hasn't been any more greedy than anyone else around him.

The stats don't flatter him, too, because the players around him are useless.

Imagine being a winger whose overlapping fullback is Jake Obrien, and your option in the middle is Thierno Barry. I think his stats are impressive if anything. 😅

9

26 Jul 2026 22:07:20
He is one of the last players in our team with an attitude problem.

5

26 Jul 2026 22:20:07
He's greedy all of the time, throws his arms around a lot, now speaking in off season about leaving .. No others doing that in the team.

0

26 Jul 2026 22:37:21
I think his head was turned after Afcom, but, tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if it's DMs tactics that are making him want out.
I wouldn't want to be an attacking player under Moyes, and that's just being honest.

4

27 Jul 2026 06:23:30
Haven't heard him say anything negative. Just tittle tattle that the fans buy into.

4

27 Jul 2026 07:47:07
With the potential departure of Iliman Ndiaye, I wonder what his wages currently are and what the wages of our new signings of Hackney Rohl and George are. If his weekly wage is the same as the two of them combined, and we get more than what we spent on transfer fees, that would be great business.

Then, this will mean we can complete other targets and maybe see a few more out that we may want to let go, but due to squad size we can't until replacements come in. Pretty sure we will get 2 loan players in during the last week of the window.

1

27 Jul 2026 10:17:20
Think he will be a massive lost. If am honest, lads, as Alex has pointed out, its the players around him, that's why, in my opinion, his form had dipped. Its a team game, not a one man team, but I rate Iliman, me only person who I have seen get on the ball and try do something with it. Am surprised no prem teams have came in for him, as I think he would be ready for next level, ie Champions League.

But if he does get sold, I expect a replacement. We definitely need a RB again. Dont think we need a left back as Aznou, in my opinion, is better than Micky, and we definitely need a forward. Not sure who, like as Barry an Beto are the chuckle brothers.

Could be a late surge but don't hold your breath. It seems FSG are prioritising recruitment for Roma as they're in Europe and need a bigger squad. We are the least of their concerns when it comes to recruitment, plus players we talk about they go and put bids in. I know we're owned by the same group and this is my concern.

I have said this on another post. They go to Roma games quite frequently but never set foot in Goodison and have never seen a game at BMD. That is where my concerns lie. Maybe just me, but this has been posted by a few other toffees

Everyone loves a rumour. Our owners have probably watched us on telly and thought sod that, not sitting in the cold watching that crap, when I can sit in the sun watching proper football. Don't blame them either.

5

26 Jul 2026 21:05:31
There will be a budget for both teams which would obviously fluctuate depending on outgoings.

We have completely different recruitment teams, so I can't see how it makes any difference what needs to be done at Roma. It won't affect us, other than if they were to go after one of our targets.

3

27 Jul 2026 07:12:02
We need to relax with these wild ideas lol.

They have made a huge investment in both clubs, both clubs are run independently, budgets, staffing, revenue and margins etc.

They are heavily invested and they will have a clear plan.

They may prefer to watch Roma due to Champions League, warmer weather and location, but it doesn’t mean to say they are not heavily also invested in Everton.

The guys have made good progress with sorting out the mess we were in, restructuring debt and we have just had the World Cup and some players are still on holiday….

this happens after every tournament. There is still time to make improvements.

As others have said, we might have to offload a few, before we bring new players in.

We all check multiple times a day for new signings. They will come. Let’s hope they're the right additions and enjoy the ride. 😜

27 Jul 2026 08:19:41
Could you imagine 1 man doing all the business for both clubs, sorry can't work on this transfer this week, I'm in Italy but back next Tuesday. See if I can fit a transfer in then 🤣, both teams have the same owners, that's about it, what one club does doesnt effect the other 1, unless they both want the same player.

1

27 Jul 2026 13:51:23
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't our budget reliant on our income and nothing to do with Romas and vice versa. Do we need to sell Toyotas to buy some players? No, we don't; it has nothing to do with how much we have to spend in this budget. They are multi billionaires; investing money in our club is small change to them, but it has to be sustainable for the club under the rules we work under. There is no favouritism, it's business, and our revenue stream is increasing, but it needs management and sustainability. Let's buy the right players at the right price and build solid foundations and stability within the club and our position in the Premier League.

Roma wasn't built in a day, excuse the pun, it was intended. We aren't going to go from relegation fodder to Champions League winners in a season. The squad strength and depth needs to be built and shaped. The right players, the right price. Some will come and some will go. The club is what matters; no player is bigger than the club. Take a breath, and let's be patient and see what happens rather than second guessing.

I hope this one is just paper talk. James Tavernier for right back? Not for me, sorry. 😞😞😢🥲

5

26 Jul 2026 14:54:51
Nothing surprises me with this crew.

2

26 Jul 2026 15:29:54
Isn't that an old one? Sounds like a regurgitation story to me.

2

26 Jul 2026 21:09:37
Taverner got no pace, gets caught out of possession and out of position, he's 36, so Moyes will be wanting him for experience, but Coleman had that.

26 Jul 2026 13:40:52
How much did Everton put on the table for Ayase Ueda? According to Soccernews in the Netherlands, Everton were willing to go to £19.6million to strike a deal for forward Ueda.

1

26 Jul 2026 14:01:58
And they want near £25-5 million mate.

2

26 Jul 2026 19:02:37
Seems a gap that could be closed without too much pain for either party.

1

27 Jul 2026 13:18:02
Did we bid on Daizen Maeda?
Seems a better fit, hard working & knows where the net is.
I would have taken a chance, right price.
Let's see how he does at Ipswich.
We need goals.

26 Jul 2026 10:14:43
Roma gone for Castro, the striker we have supposed to have been linked with. Either our recruitment team is doing findings for Roma or someone in between Everton and Roma is leaking the wrong info.

1

26 Jul 2026 12:36:48
Or it could all be a load of rubbish.

5

26 Jul 2026 13:54:27
Could be.

26 Jul 2026 20:40:06
We've been linked with a lot of players.

25 Jul 2026 22:00:53
If RG LIPZIG REALLY have made an offer for Barry, he should be wrapped up, with a pink bow on his head and be half way there by now.
God I hope they don't know about trading standards, good fit for purpose and all that.

5

26 Jul 2026 12:17:13
Where he'll go on to excel and become a top striker, and you'll all then complain that we didn't keep him.
Swear this fanbase has no patience for young players, yet slag off Moyes for the same reason.
Not saying he'll become a top striker, but let's give the lad a chance and not give up on him after a season.

If we go out and get a new starting striker, I'd rather we sold Beto instead. Love the lad, but he hasn't got it. At least Barry is young enough that he's got the chance to improve. If anything, at least to increase his value in the long run.

4

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i dont know what you see in him Big Dunc?, he has got the first touch of an Elephant, cant control a ball, his movement is slow and laborious, he cant finish, hes not that good in the air for his size and he cant finish...besides that hes top quality, your only reason for keeping him is because he is young mate, so is my 13 year old granddaughter but i dont want Everton to buy her either, he also is very sulky and seems to have an attitude problem and for me we should cut our losses and try and get 50p for him or something...just my view of course..

4

26 Jul 2026 13:00:22
The chance to improve. If he played until he was 150, he'd still be useless fs. He couldn't trap a medicine ball. I watched a dog on That's Life once, which was a better player than Barry.

0

26 Jul 2026 13:12:53
Ed is spot on, BigDunc - there's a lot of players who deserves way more patience than we gave them, and a lot the fans turned on when they were only 19 and still developing, but Barry is not one of them.

There isn't even a glimmer of potential in there, he's just dreadful. If we can even make half our money back, i think we get rid, and send whichever scout recommended as part of the deal

0

26 Jul 2026 13:46:26
Absolute rubbish player, we have seen him under perform so many times. We have to get rid of Beto and Barry if we want to progress, I'm sure BN has mentioned a few targets.

0

26 Jul 2026 14:59:26
I have to agree with everyone else on this, I'm afraid, BD. Barry is useless. He may be better suited to another club in another league, but he definitely doesn't cut it in the Premier League. I'd keep Beto before Barry, but still want another striker in.

1

26 Jul 2026 19:10:05
When Beto crosses the white line, he gives 100%, Barry has a PhD in sulking.
