Not sure how everyone else feels about the Chelsea match.
It’s not often that I think the scores could be almost anything, either way.
I’m obviously hoping for the best, but also won’t be totally downhearted if the result goes the other way as we’re getting on the right track as a team.
I’m going to go for a 1-2 away win (with us holding on at the end) .
{Ed025's Note - i think a draw would be great Benny, they seem to have the Indian sign on us mate so im not expecting too much if im honest..

I really do hope that our reported interest in Ferguson is just click bait.
This man had one great breakout season three years ago, since then his home club, and those who have had him on loan, have all reached the same conclusion, thanks, but, NO THANKS, The last thing we need is another miss firering striker, who has proved hopeless in front of goal.
The need, is for a proven goal scorer, and yes it will come at a big price, but the price of not doing so, could be missing out on a European place .

Scored a couple last night I think. Looked a prospect a couple of years ago. Could Moyes get a tune out of him?

His second goal v celtic showed a great first touch and control something we are badly lacking up front.

I would take him on loan definitely a cracking player in there just needs the right manager to get him fireing again. It's a big yes from me.

Theres a long list of forgotten or overlooked players we taken a chance on in the past, they stepped onto our turf and we fell in love with them and they where no longer a who and became fan favourites.

His ability is far better than the two lads we have. If he doesn't score goals, it is not like we would be any worse off with our lads having 1 each this season.

Ronmac - not sure it’s a change of manager he needs.
Unfortunately he’s got a terrible injury record - not something a manager can fix. He’s also not really kicked on from his break out season.
Before last night he’d scored 1 in 14 for Roma - which is hardly great.
Personally would rather stick with what we have than take a chance on another injury plagued player.

Fairshout good each to there own i would take the Gamble he is a finisher when given the chances infront of goal. but like you say not a great injury record which i didn't realise. just presumed the managers didn't play him because he might be lazy in training or something and he has grown up abit. do you know how many of them 14 games he has started by any chance? I just go off when I have watched players and not Google.
He definitely has quality but it's getting it on a regular basis i guess and suppose a manager can only do so much for the player. I just think he would be worth the Gamble. End of the day we probably aren't even looking at him.

1 goal in 10 games in a crap Italian league.

Sounds like another DCL scenario. We need a regular starter who can score. Really hoping Barry kicks on but I’m a cynical fan.

Real goal scorer required, not a one season wonder from 3 year's ago. TFG, are either willing to put their money where their mouth is, or are content for Everton to be a mid table servicer.
We should not be a dumping ground for a Roma flop, off load him elsewhere, but not as a block to our progress.

How exactly do you think that Roma would decide where young Ferguson ends up "dumping ground". He isn't even a Roma player. He is still contracted to Brighton.
I would much rather go after other talent that would more than likely be cheaper (bar Burkardt) .
Krstovic
Dju
Burkardt
Asllani
Cardoso.

I'd rather go for a progressive striker like Dju or Emagha. Yuri Alberto could be a good signing. Reminds me of Aguero a little bit. But certain players suit certain clubs. He could be someone who kicks on and scores a fair few goals for us. Or he could be a flop. Never know unless you give him a go.

Wanted Emegha for a few seasons now Dentie but Chelsea have already signed him mate.

Am I the only one thinking that the fact he’s at Roma is probably enough for a lazy journo to put a poor story out there?

0-0. Hoping we get a draw. Think we are more likely to surprise Arsenal at home as the wheels come off their title challenge and City sweep past them.

We were supposedly going to beat Newcastle. Even Newcastle fans thought that. And look how that turned out. Would love a win against Chelsea but wouldn't be unhappy with a draw.
