Eds do any of you know why moshiri hasn't started talking yo other potential buyers yet will all this poltava going on with 777 and do you know who the other interested parties are.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously he has spoken with MSP.}

Afternoon Ed's,

Hope you are all keeping well.

There is a lot of uncertainty hanging over us atm with regards to finances, takeover etc.

I have just read 'The Esk's' tweet and was wondering if you could provide any clarity on it.

"Those "waiting in the wings" continue to be ready to support/ acquire the club at the appropriate time, which is not too far away".

Does this mean that there are other potential buyers out there that are waiting for the 777 deal to fall through and then they will perhaps make Moshiri an offer and would they be prepared to take on the ridiculous amount of debt the club has?

Appreciate the response.

{Ed002's Note - 777 want two of the MSP investors to join their bid and ease some of the debt owed to MSP. They will trade shares in the club, the stadium and will let them have the two seats on the board promised to MSP. They want to trade this against £200M of the £550M owed in total to satisfy Government concerns. RMF are owed more than this (circa £225M) but are not pressing as they are getting 10% interest on the debt and the debt is secured against Goodison Park and other local assets. MSP is the reason for the mid May date when 777 Partners must have the funds in ESCROW to pay the MSP debt, and fund the club to the end of the season. MSP could effectively go back to Moshiri with another offer - but they will look to a controlling interest. I can only assume Esk is referring to MSP. 777 Partners want to slip the mid May deadline until the end of May.}

Thank you for the info Ed, much appreciated.

In your opinion, would MSP be a better outfit to take control of the club as opposed to the risk of 777, as you have mentioned previously?

{Ed002's Note - Most certainly - I would not go near 777 Partners.}

Here we go, all the same rubbish coming out about transfers, same players as last season, clueless, I mean why would we want che Adam's who's scored 16 goals in the championship, yet we sold Ellis Simms who has scored 19, only thing is he's on a free, but still has to be rubbish.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 11:55:42
Watched Adams score one of the goals he scored and yes he is not very good. Think Cenk Tosun and you would be close.

Not looking too good for 777 if we are to believe the rags, apparently Moshiri is looking elsewhere for potential investment, hmmmm.

Amazed it’s taken 7 months for him to seek alternative purchaser - there have been so may red flags around 777 I’m amazed he’s left it run as long as he has.

For a supposed billionaire he appears to have little sense when it comes to money.

22 Apr 2024 23:40:07
With a step closer to staying in the premiership, a new stadium and changes coming to PSR, now is the time to search for an alternative owner.
It doesn’t make sense to persist with 777, they obviously don’t have the funds for this.
Get out to Qatar and do some begging.

I don't think he can look elsewhere until the deal collapses or Premier league rule it out because of the exclusivity deal they signed not sure.

Rumour is they have until 1st May to resolve. I can only hope the alternative lined up isn't Micky from the market!

With the season coming to an end which players are going to be out of contract and of those who are going to be out of contract who would you want to keep. Obviously we haven't got the luxury of buying decent replacements.
In only asking this as I read DCL only has a year left on his contract. Is this going to go the same way as barkley where we will sell him in January for F all or are we going to let 1 of our only saleable assets go for free and be more in the crap.

{Ed002's Note - I would not have high expectations of significant additions with Everton having to clean up the financial mess they are in. They need to reduce the wage bill further and utilise the cheaper or free options available to them and utilise youngsters where they can. There will also be a need for the sale of players liked by the fans, such as Branthwaite. Leicester, Burnley and Leeds are open to negotiate a soultion to the concerns Everton have about being forced in to Administration which would see a further points deduction and financial constraints which could strangle the club. So a negotiate a solution makes sense - but it could hit the club very hard.
Everton have another eight players who are out of contract in the summer - Harrison (who will return to Leeds), Lonegan, Young, Coleman, Gueye, Dele Alli, Gomes and Danjuma (who will return to Villareal). They have an issue regarding the sale that needs resolving. There are another seven players who will be entering the last year of their contracts. Selling Onana would help them out as any loans or sale of part of the club would only help with the stadium they cannot now afford.}

I don't think we will be negotiating anything with Leicester burnley and Leeds.

Thought Leicester had already been charged for seem season as us and facing a points deduction upon their premiership return.

How can they have grounds. Puzzling.

Based on what Anom? Both Injury prone and cost us millions over last couple of seasons.

Not seen anything from either to suggest new contracts should be given apart from wishful thinking of they get back to their former selves.

Get rid of lot for me if the money is right. Needs must.

Are the championship clubs that missed out on promotion going to sue Sheff Utd Ed? They been charged and deductions in place for next season once confirmed back in EFL.

When does this madness stop? Will we be able sue City or Chelsea or others when they finally are dealt with. Massive can of worms and just don't see how they could.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs will seek settlements where appropriate. Everton will not be suing Manchetser City or Chelsea.}

Is the only way we are getting income into the club through selling players Ed02? No miracle buyer waiting in the wings to rush to our rescue?

If we sell Branthwaite and Onana, we’ll still have no squad or funds to buy players in with. Scary and worrying times to be an Evertonian.

Agree0 0Disagree

22 Apr 2024 09:13:56
Completing the 777 Partners deal is important and to be honest it seems not to be getting much closer due to funding converns and concerns over their ability to pass the Owners’ and Directors’ Test. The vultures will be circling already with a strong chance that Everton may need to seek Administration if the MSP loan cannot be paid on time.

24 Apr 2024 14:53:32
I totally agree why would we negotiate anything, we don't have to pay these clubs, this is what the premiership is there for, break the rules you get punished either point, fine or a transfer ban, I'm sure it doesn't say every club a d his . ate who got relegated can fine you as well, that's a joke and I cannot ever see that standing up in any court of law.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the clubs "fining" Everton but if legal action is threatened then Everton want to negotiate settlements.}

Bricking it now with the news Branthwaite will likely miss the game. Choice between Godfrey or Keane. Worse still given both right backs are injured, it could be both.
Maybe play 2-5-3, just to keep one of them on the bench :)

Put Roman Dixon in at rb. Yes he's 17 and has no experience but very highly thought of. Can tackle, likes to get forward, but his main strength is his speed. He's like a bullet out of a gun. Just give the opposition something to think about instead of them knowing which dross we going to be fielding every week (which lack speed too}. And I'd have Gomes as no10 and Warrington in place of Onana. Warrington has more about him than Onana does. But we know the line up before it even gets to the weekend.

Reading on the internet that the Reims manager Will Still was spotted at the Chelsea game on Monday. The article suggested he could be seen as a possible replacement for Dyche. Do any eds know if this has any mileage?

{Ed002's Note - Will Still (C) Reims are aware that Still will likely depart in the summer after turning down an improved contract and an extension. Still has made his desire to coach West Ham clear but Sullivan has resisted but that may change in the summer. Sunderland are very keen on Still but it seems unlikely he will want to drop down to the Championship.}

Hi Ed025 what do you make of this latest report that the Club will not own our new stadium, sounds to me like we selling our very soul to the devil mate, what is happening.

{Ed025's Note - its just another thing on top of this crap show that is Everton GB, they say it never rains but it pours and thats certainly true with us mate, its one thing after another and nothing surprises me these days and to be honest i can see us going to the wall, and do you know what...sometimes i think the sooner the better..

I keep thinking we will stay up this season and then I think what is going to happen to our Club next, it’s just one thing after another mate, then I wake up and say xxxx them we are Everton and we can beat this COYB.

Always been a Blue Ed since I was knee high to a grasshopper, if we go down I go with them, but we will stay up and get out of this mess.

{Ed025's Note - so have i GB, but even if we do stay up mate it all starts again next season i feel, im sorry to sound so negative mate but this club have finally broken me im afraid, in my heart i still love the ethos of EFC but these past few years have ground me down so much that i have lost all faith that we will ever become a force again..

I completely agree with you Ed25 and I’m not even 40 yet. Just can’t be doing with building my hopes up every summer to be presented with this cocktail of anger, sadness and complete frustration. It’s doing my health in no ends.

I just wish we could sort ourselves out. If it’s taking this many seasons to do it (and we are still far from being mid table) then we must be rotten to the core.

In a free seasons, there will be a super league of European clubs and you can bet we won’t be part of it or anywhere near it.

You guys were probably not alive the last time we were relegated, I was. I was eleven and it was devastating. I do care Ed025 and put the blame for our demise fully on Blue Bill. He brought in Moshiri and he stood back and allowed him to ruin this club. I never bought on to the "Boys Pen" rubbish, I went in the boys pen once and it was like being in a cage, anyone in their right mind would go in only once. Kenwright sold out to Moshiri because he allowed Bill to remain as Chairman. He must have known that Moshiri was a figurehead for Usmanov. Now we can look forward to the 777 lot, probably being a tenant at our new stadium and owing a fortune at high interest. How can anyone with any business acumen allow us to get to this position?
