Martial with 3 goals in 3 years wants 250k month. 😂😂😂

07 Sep 2026 21:58:45
Hope that he gets it, from some other team.

1

08 Sep 2026 08:24:57
60k a week? Really? Surely, a lower wage with loads of bonuses would work?

0

08 Sep 2026 09:38:54
Pay him £100 a week with a 50k a goal bonus. We will save a fortune.

0

08 Sep 2026 09:59:02
We don't need him.

1

08 Sep 2026 11:46:01
If all things go wrong, Braiden Graham will do a good enough job up top.

07 Sep 2026 20:58:36
Anyone else read those quotes from Maitland-Niles about how he was met by a team from the club that helped him through the move and his medical?

Hi edd 25. Is there any indication of how long it's likely to be till that defensive midfield player we signed from Arsenal is fit to come into the picture.

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - im hearing it could be February until he is fit AB, Norgaard came injured and thats probably why he was only £7m mate, but it is what it is and we will just have to get on with it..

1

07 Sep 2026 13:29:51
I have heard that he is supposed to be starting training again after the international break. Hoping that is more accurate than Feb Ed. Think he could be a massive player for us.

For me, he is the only proper 6 we have in the squad.

Once again, begs the question of what on earth they found in Balogun's medical, if they were happy to approve this one!

1

07 Sep 2026 14:19:56
33m difference maybe?

4

06 Sep 2026 19:03:03
How much would it cost us to end Mykolenko's contract and just replace him with a cardboard cutout?

5

06 Sep 2026 19:45:42
Think we already have Swan!

3

07 Sep 2026 15:15:40
Do you know how much cardboard is nowadays.. that could come back and bite us in the arse.!!

2

07 Sep 2026 18:43:35
It would probably fail its medical. Too stiff to bend.

1

07 Sep 2026 19:30:42
Our recruitment team are, as we speak, rooting around a cardboard box factory, looking at what's in their rejects and damaged pile. Now they're going to ask for a discount.

0

07 Sep 2026 19:59:15
The cardboard box will have to be 35 years old by the way.

He hasn't gone to Turkey! According to De Zerbi he didn't agree terms to return to us.. He could still possibly go to Saudi or Portugal. Let's be honest he's greedy and its all about money. He obviously had no intention of returning to Everton. I hope he proves me wrong?

4

07 Sep 2026 14:17:41
I genuinely do think he intended to return to us, but is delusional about his value.

He'll be on about 100k a week at the moment, and probably thinks he's worth double that - whereas I doubt we'll have offered above 60.

Delusional or not, I suspect he'll have thought our offer was too low to accept, regardless of how much he wanted to return, and someone in Saudi will likely come and match his valuation. Shame.

Richy's contract at Spurs could possibly get terminated. What do people think?

2

04 Sep 2026 19:25:09
Don't know the official rules. But he was heavily linked with us, but the move didn't come off. Then the transfer window closes, his contract is terminated, then signs for us on a free.. stinks of corruption. And, let's be honest, we don't want any of that.

On another note, sure I've seen he's going to Turkey for 3 x his wages.

2

04 Sep 2026 19:25:50
Isn't he going to Turkey.

2

04 Sep 2026 19:43:10
I thought the rule was that any player in a contract when the transfer window closes cannot move to another club until the next window opens.

6

04 Sep 2026 19:46:31
Even if they do cancel his contract, we'd find a way to cock up the transfer! Prob offer him x2 his wages or something.

1

04 Sep 2026 19:49:49
Think he's in Turkey like Swan said, their transfer window is still open.

2

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - it closes tonight..

1

04 Sep 2026 20:27:28
Wonder if he'd take a loan so he's free next summer.

All that "return to my beloved club" would be a load of tripe if he ends up going somewhere in Turkey for 5 years.

3

04 Sep 2026 21:00:12
He wouldn't be able to play for ys until Jan.

3

04 Sep 2026 21:27:49
Just googled, it's not very concise, at least the minute I searched, so maybe Cookies, right, but it seems like to me from what I've read, if Spurs terminate him, he'd be a free agent. If he and Spurs agree to mutually terminate (usually some minor deal about a pay off and rights and other fees is settled, hence the mutually thing) he'd be a free agent.

Free agents can sign at any time in the season, but may, depending upon when in the season, maybe be omitted from cup comps or something.
Chelsea terminated Sterling in Jan and he went to Turkey a month later, outside of any window.

Well if this long shot is on? We'd be silly to not sniff out the option? I say we cock it up again but it's not as though we'd have to make room in the 25 man squad. Unless we've already announced that, then again I think some more rules come in about free transfers and space in squad if already at 25. Not our problem, I guess, if we haven't fluffed it out yet with tea ladies and the guy who changes the light bulbs to get 25.

This is what I understand, FBS.
The Transfer Deadline Rule:
The summer transfer window closed on 1 September 2026. If Tottenham terminates Richarlison's contract tomorrow, he becomes a free agent after the deadline.

The Block on Immediate Playing: Because he was still contractually attached to Tottenham when the window shut, Everton can technically sign his paperwork at any time, but they cannot register him to play in competitive matches until the next registration period opens on 1 January 2027.

The Exception: A free agent can only be registered immediately in September if their previous contract had naturally expired or was mutually terminated before or on deadline day.

2

05 Sep 2026 00:25:06
Appreciate that insight, Cookie. Did he sign for the Turks? Can't see anything. I think the window closed at 2200 Friday (tonight) .

0

05 Sep 2026 09:31:52
There are lots of ways of doing this, boys. If Richarlison agrees a termination with Spurs and so loses a few quid, we could make that up with a signing on fee. It's only like paying a transfer fee, when all said and done. However, that would be pointless if he couldn't play till January. Though, saying that, we would probably still sign him. 🤣

1

05 Sep 2026 12:07:22
The fact we are short and the fact our recruitment is poor, if they got into it now, they might just have enough time to get it done by end of January, BrassB ;) Maybe they should do an open day like Ted Lasso? I'll dig my Gary Lineker Quasars out just in case.

1

05 Sep 2026 13:18:50
Could join us at Jan window..

3

05 Sep 2026 14:00:50
That's probably correct, FBS, sadly.

2

05 Sep 2026 17:11:33
I wanted him at first, but time to move on. Not sure what's happened to him, but he doesn't sound like the same person.

1

05 Sep 2026 23:34:02
You can't create a free agent outside of the transfer window that is able to be traded until the next window. That's why Arsenal made sure to cancel Aubameyang's contract on the last day of the 2022 window.

1

04 Sep 2026 12:41:20
Moyes is going to be interesting. It is certain lots of chats/instructions/diplomacy going/gone on behind closed doors.

0

04 Sep 2026 14:04:59
If he turns up.

0

04 Sep 2026 14:39:56
He's on the subs bench for Sunday. 😂

1

04 Sep 2026 15:01:26
Just been reading it. I think he has lost the will to live. Such a tepid interview, he should have had a proper pop at the club.

1

04 Sep 2026 15:07:43
Probably a tactical attack. 😀😀

2

03 Sep 2026 23:36:26
Vardy now? FFS
Bring back Rooney while you’re at it.
Can they get any more desperate and incompetent?
Who is driving this train wreck?

2

2

04 Sep 2026 08:16:53
Never thought I'd say it, but would take him till January.

4

04 Sep 2026 09:55:00
No one expected to be where we are with strikers, but he's probably worth a short term contract, if you need a goal in the last 20 minutes, stick him on.

2

04 Sep 2026 10:23:23
Vardy is sitting on the bench. This is Mr recruiter mess up, trying to cover his arse and save his job.

0

04 Sep 2026 12:13:42
A sad state of affairs, I don't think we have a choice but to sign a few freebies until January. If we need a late goal in any given game, you can't be relying on Barry, he is always knackered after about 70 mins. So the pattern of the game won't change, maybe we do need a Vardy just for a few months, he could be vital in last 15/20 minutes of games when you're at the business end of the match.

Only alternatives I can see are Johnson or George, while we are at it a left back freebie if possible. 19 registered players with 16 outfield players is an absolute joke in the best and toughest league in the world.

1

04 Sep 2026 14:42:02
To be honest.. I would have Vardy.. still technically better than Barry, and he will get goals in this set up.. beggars can't be choosers.

2

04 Sep 2026 17:03:44
I'm pretty sure after listening to his presser that he's not looking to bring anyone in. He did say they'd look at it but I didn't see much desire from him. Looks like we will be making do.
I've never stated any real support for Moyes since he came back.

In fact I've been pro Moyes out. But if there's a manager who is ideal in situations like this then it is Moyes. Backs to the wall and he's your man.

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that Ace..

1

04 Sep 2026 18:14:23
I just wish Moyes would be a bit more adventurous and put George up top with Jack + Tyler feeding him. Could be worth trying against Wolves.

0

04 Sep 2026 18:16:58
He will get goals in this set up? What, as a long striker, having the ball launched up to him?

7 goals in Serie A last season, averaging a goal every 4 games. His legs have completely gone, he's got no pace anymore, and even in his last season at Leicester he was atrocious.

Do people still judge players based on names and not performances?

2

04 Sep 2026 18:24:34
When asked about the Irish red head kid, he deflected undue pressure by saying he didn't see him as a striker, not in the Premier League at this time, but then made a point that other players like George had been tried uptop in training anyway and would probably be ahead of him.

However, he did say sometimes the best youngsters are actually not necessarily playing in positions that need cover, and it's kids who play the right positions we're currently short that'd probably have a chance of stepping up.

0

04 Sep 2026 19:08:30
Yes FBS, but I was a bit confused by what he was saying. Sounded a bit contradictory, but I may have misheard.

0

05 Sep 2026 09:37:25
Does that mean Graham has a chance at left back? Don't think we have the luxury now of saying they're not ready. If Barry is spent after 70 minutes, then throw the lad on at least, then we will see if he's up to it or not.

Well dms I’m reading investment or outright sale of Everton, as of 2 hrs ago.

3

03 Sep 2026 18:18:33
What a mess we are. Not the well run club I started supporting in the 60s. How times change.

2

03 Sep 2026 18:49:13
Same as that, Nick. Early 60s, what a shambles we are now, mate.

3

03 Sep 2026 20:26:47
Doesn't surprise me, to be honest. They have to be thanked for putting the club in a much improved financial position, but the sale of five players and the attempted sale of Armstrong without much outlay on incoming players suggests that they want to be in a strong cash flow situation, allowing the new owners to be able to recruit in January.

If this happens, I don't see either Moyes or that incompetent from Leeds surviving past the next transfer window.
We can only hope that this strategy does not back-fire with us dropping down the table.

1

03 Sep 2026 21:50:40
If it is to be a total buyout, then I hope they get rid of the whole management and coaching staff, and bring in a completely new team fully competent in the EPL and European football. It's the only way to go forward in my opinion.

1

03 Sep 2026 22:12:38
It's a very sad situation, Nick. Several weeks ago we were told that we needed 5-6 players more than last season and would be in a much stronger position. Now, if anything, we do not have a larger squad than last season with no back-up at striker or at both full-back positions.

Also, we are looking for new investment, maybe a full sale of the club.
Let's hope and pray that we have no serious injuries or red cards and whatever happens with the ownership does not affect the performance on the pitch.

0

04 Sep 2026 04:48:29
Sadly, this is something clubs in turmoil suffer, Mike. Players reluctant to stay or sign as they are not sure where the club will be at the end of a season. Buckle up, cos we're in for a rough ride, I think. The word rodeo comes to mind.

Sorry, Steve.. I was just fantasising about the look on our neighbours' faces if Elon wanted to piss on Bezos' bonfire!.. If only.

And the first stadium with robots as groundsman. 😅

Everyone should get on X and message him. His ego will love it and he is impulsive, so you never know!

1

03 Sep 2026 20:24:28
Elon has charges for sexual offences awaiting him in south africa relating to his father. I doubt anyone outside of his Trump/Epstein bubble would entertain him

2

03 Sep 2026 21:49:37
His stratospheric wealth trajectory doesn't suggest that he's someone that is being ostracised.
