Reading the Munoz deal will be done this week.

3

18 Aug 2026 15:02:29
Everton holding 'serious' Daniel Munoz talks - 'It must be done this week..' looks like you must be right, Pal.

4

18 Aug 2026 15:19:20
Hope so. He seems to be a very good player. Need to get those done.

4

18 Aug 2026 16:56:47
Yeah, shame it wasn't done sooner, but perhaps the fact we are playing Palace this weekend was a factor. He's a quality, Premier League proven right back. Would be a top signing.

2

18 Aug 2026 18:03:32
Even though we are playing Palace, why would they risk playing him against us in case of injury, and, knowing Moysey, he wouldn't play him 1st game anyway.

2

18 Aug 2026 19:20:05
Maybe not even the 1st season, Moggsie.

1

18 Aug 2026 19:32:47
I think we are trying to save a few quid and let them bring him up to us when they come for the season opener. 😳

3

18 Aug 2026 20:09:48
If they have signed a replacement, he wouldn't play anyway.

0

18 Aug 2026 21:34:18
I think it would be more about not wanting him playing for us against them than him playing for them.

2

18 Aug 2026 14:27:45
Kinnear's quote -

"We will sign an RB but not in time for Palace."

Maybe an agreement between us and Palace that the deal can go ahead for Munoz after we have played them.

2

18 Aug 2026 15:46:17
I was just about to write the same thing, so it looks like it’s Munoz then, and yeh it makes sense that Palace won’t let go of him until after the first match. Hopefully this is true and Kinnear has quoted that they don’t want to just go down the list and sign someone else, we are prepared to wait for our number one target.

Interesting. I will be buzzing if it is Munoz.

On another quote by Kinnear, TFG classed last season as a failure, which is a big statement.

Sounds like Moyes is already on thin ice before the season starts.

4

18 Aug 2026 16:45:12
And so he should be. Last quarter of the season, we seriously underperformed, a time when we need to push harder, show something different. We should have sent Spurs down. And now, because we didn’t, they’re asking premium of £40 mill for Richarlison, whereas if they were relegated he’d be half that amount.

So Moyes has cost Everton millions in prize money and possibly millions in transfer fees too.
So I don’t blame TFG one bit for not being happy right now.

4

18 Aug 2026 17:05:02
Or, Kinnear and TFG should have pulled their fingers out and got a right back and a striker in January and we’d have finished stronger?

5

18 Aug 2026 18:21:11
Moyes wouldn't have played them till April anyway.

1

18 Aug 2026 19:22:02
Moyes cost Everton millions in prize money and millions in transfer money 😂 ffs. Nothing to do with the crooked VAR shouts that they have come out and already said were errors on their part (West Ham and City to name a few) .

Nothing to do with not having his best players available, JB, JG or AFCON wasn't a thing, tiring out another one of our better players in. It was all David Moyes' fault, the whole lot of it.

5

18 Aug 2026 19:34:57
And the players still could have performed better on the pitch as well, I believe KDH even said so or along those lines.
We move forward and go again.

0

18 Aug 2026 20:39:15
Moyes over performed for three quarters of the season. He didn't underperform at all. Why do people on here think we should have challenged for Europe after 5 years of constantly battling relegation? It was because of Moyes that we were able to bring in KDH and Jack whilst getting more out of Jimmy than any other manager since he signed.

You lot really need to get over the fact that he went to Man Utd. If he hadn't gone I would have seriously questioned his ambition and ability as a top manager.

It definitely helps to actually watch Kinear's interview before quiping the old DM tropes. It's a very candid yet measured interview. And nobody sticks out for extra abuse. It's a collective from owner to player. Refreshing to hear the club isn't following FM knee jerk choices mirroring of fans' displeasure.

Clearly another 12 months before all our financial difficulties are firmly in the rear view mirror and clarification that every penny of profit goes back to the club. The next 3 seasons are gonna be progressively more exciting. Hope you all make it.
It's definitely a positive interview.

Another day, another right back.
What Everton are waiting for as contact made for Lutsharel Geertruida.

18 Aug 2026 12:41:37
What we know as Everton eye move for Burnley's Zian Flemming.
Bluenose opium shots. Do you know anything about this player? I have no idea. Is he just more potential or is he just trending?

0

18 Aug 2026 13:08:17
Moyes was at the game on Sunday, checking him out. Doesn't mean anything, though.

0

18 Aug 2026 15:32:30
Not buying potential TB Flemming is 28 so in his prime. Better than what we have, but that isn't hard. Not worth more than £20 mill for me though.

0

18 Aug 2026 22:52:07
Have only watched him a couple of times and would say he is a slight upgrade on our two. But if we really want to progress then we need to aim higher than this. And before you ask, no I don't know who, that's for the club to decide.

18 Aug 2026 09:31:12
Daniel Muñoz and Delap incoming! Thank me later lol

1

18 Aug 2026 09:52:27
I'd be well happy with that. Especially if it means we offload Beto.

1

18 Aug 2026 09:50:19
How do you no this kiddamick

1

18 Aug 2026 10:22:17
It's been said, but if we can secure a loan with an option/obligation for Delap then it's a no brainer. If he does well, we can sign him up, if not he heads back. Chelsea always likely to hold out for permanent, but no one's paying 40/50 million for him at the moment.

1

18 Aug 2026 13:16:49
Munoz I'd be very happy with. No thanks on Delap. He's scored 32 goals in 160 games. Barry has got 68 in 170.

1

18 Aug 2026 20:20:35
100% with you, BJohn. Munoz instantly improves the team. We need a striker that can find the net. Can B or B do it? Hard to be optimistic. Really hope we can find something more than Delap. UTFT.

Just read that we have an interest in Como winger Assane Diao, 20-year-old has spent two seasons with the Serie A club, scoring 10 goals across 32 games and earning him a Senegal debut. Source ssn. Anyone know anything?

1

18 Aug 2026 11:14:11
Heavily linked last summer but we had no money for their crazy price tag.

6ft 1in right-footed winger, used mainly on the left by Fabregas at Como.
Explosive pace and good ball carrier, would be a great outlet.
Despite his injuries last season, if you look at some of his metrics, no winger registered more progressive carries (5.82) or was involved in more offensive duels (16.28) per 90 minutes in Serie A.
He's also pretty good in the air, but you would sort of expect that from his 6'1 frame.

2024/25 season he joined Como from Real Betis in January, bagged 8 goals and 1 assist in just 15 Serie A games.
Last season limited by foot and hamstring injuries, yielding 2 goals and 1 assist in 17 appearances. Valuation may have dropped because of that and be better priced.

He would suit the Premier League and us.
Joining his countryman Ndiaye could help him settle.

We are rumoured to have shown interest in him and also Dario Osorio, both offer good goal threats. Assane Diao is more suited for counter attacking, will happily drag the play 40 yards up the pitch with his carries and is more direct, rumours they have already turned down EUR40m offers.
Osorio is a cheaper option, EUR20m is rumoured.
Good at unlocking defences and low blocks, accurate passer, more playmaker pulling defenders out of position, often likes to slow the play down and pick apart a defence.

We seem to still have a lot of interest in forwards right now, more than full backs. 😳

If we buy enough Como players, do we get Fabregas?

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - let me tell you where i am guys, i thought Moyes would get the Scotland job but obviously that ship has sailed, i would love a right back and a striker but how that plays out is anyones guess, for me we are all blues and we have to stick together and get behind the manager and the players, we can moan all we want but we have no influence on what happens so why not just see how things pan out and hopefully have a good season, whether you like or dislike certain players or the manager lets just get behind them because what else can we do?. its a clean slate imo and if after a good number of games things are looking bleak then that is the time to moan and vent your frustrations, we are Evertonians and its in our blood so lets hope for the best cheer the guys on and try and enjoy it...cheers..

Hey Ed . Isn't being an Everton fan all about them building us up, us loving them, something going disastrously wrong and throwing points away then absolutely hating them for ruining our weekend being their biggest critics then after spitting out all our frustrations over the initial days after the game we just fall in love again and drive them on with our support for the next match!
Oh and snarling at any pundit who criticises our team as it's our team to criticise

That's how it feels at times

I will be fully behind the team and whoever pulls on the blue shirt against Palace at the weekend and really hoping we get our heads in gear and don't disappoint me after a long journey up, because the journey home after is always tougher after a defeat so their has been a lot of tough journeys home
😳

Now COYB let's smash up those eagles and have Ndiaye flapping his wings after scoring! 💪🏼💙

18 Aug 2026 13:48:20
Ed I am more optimistic now than I was this time last season. So far we have bought well and have some good young talent coming through. Yes we still need to fill a couple of positions but the window is not closed yet so let's just stay positive and hope we can kick on this season.

Spot on, ed25, very well said, mate. Better players will hopefully bring about a better style of football and a more enjoyable season, especially at home this time.

If we are struggling by Christmas then I'm sure DM will pay the price. Until then, I'm quietly optimistic of a more progressive season for us. I'm also hopeful that we will get a few more bodies over the line before the window closes. UTFT

I am not looking forward to the season.
I think we are in a good position.
I was intrigued by Kinnear's words about 70% of our business will be done in the last two weeks. That's potentially a lot of business still to be done. 💪🏼
Let's make the league envious again of the best passionate supporters in the Premier League.
UTFT.

Had an offer for Timothy Costagne rebuffed apparently. Feels like Tete all over again. This recruitment team really need to look outside of England and Scotland for options.

2

17 Aug 2026 22:30:46
I mentioned the other day that we need to ask for more from Hull for young Tim and start acting like other teams.

Point proven with Spurs asking for 40m for Richy, who like Tim, is also in the last year of his contract.

2

18 Aug 2026 07:32:44
Richy cost them 60m and is their top goalscorer. Tom cost us £3.50 and has been very average. Plus, Spurs might be asking for that, doesn't mean they will get it.

0

18 Aug 2026 10:00:25
He cost them 60m 4 years ago. He has been slated by a huge portion of their fans since joining, and has been in and out of the team.

That is my point. Clubs ask for higher fees and work from there. We set the bar low to begin with, instead of being cheeky like everyone else.

3

18 Aug 2026 11:15:12
The fine art of negotiating, BlueNose.

0

18 Aug 2026 13:50:11
We set the bar high for our players and we won't sell anyone. 😂

0

17 Aug 2026 20:52:09
Moyse still expecting a lot more to come in. Hopefully this will happen.

1

17 Aug 2026 15:50:03
Richarlison noise growing. Splits opinion, I know, but I’d love to see him back in a blue shirt.

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - far better than what we have JB..

8

17 Aug 2026 16:54:54
What is there to think about? Absolute no brainer, get him in and please get it sorted in next few days, if only hey, so he can play on Saturday. Absolute miles better than what we have now, miles.

6

17 Aug 2026 17:23:48
Lots of places reporting we've had a bid rejected for Richy.

2

17 Aug 2026 17:38:07
Would take him back in a heartbeat.

3

17 Aug 2026 18:14:41
It's a yes from me like Ed said he's better than what we got

4

17 Aug 2026 18:27:54
Defo get him in.

3

17 Aug 2026 19:00:22
100% Yes for me!

3

17 Aug 2026 19:07:12
And it's a massive no from me. Being better than we have is no big deal. I am.

3

17 Aug 2026 20:02:56
Is Richy better than Beto, Barry, and Delap? 100% imo.

4

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - 1000%..

2

17 Aug 2026 20:03:42
Are you Big Reg? You ripping it up in upper non-league? Or top scorer in the EFL fast season?

2

17 Aug 2026 20:06:07
I'd say buying players that are better than what we have is quite a sensible strategy.

4

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - me too JB..

2

17 Aug 2026 20:19:06
Of course it is, mate.

1

17 Aug 2026 20:36:37
Bunkbeds, I am 61 this week, massively overweight with bad knees and I'd still do more than the chuckle brothers and probably be available for selection more this season than Richarlison.

1

17 Aug 2026 22:15:14
Tickled me that did, JB!

Richy has been Spurs top scorer 2 out of the last 3 seasons.

1

17 Aug 2026 23:02:12
Price means little when they blow up a silly figure. If the player makes the noise he's looking to move. Like you say, injury record and last year, would they really stand firm for 40m? Either they love him and he's about to sign a new contract and they're pricing him out, odd tactics. Or they're trying to drum up a scramble, or they're trying to make the player force a move.

I loved him and think he'd be brilliant for us. Hope it happens. We are building in the way he and we were once promised, and that surely must be attractive. I still think he's gonna go cash grab or romantic return home, but he'd be far better than anyone linked.

1

18 Aug 2026 06:57:01
Wouldn't do business with any of the entitled 6. Hopefully all the money Spurs have spent will send them into points deductions with PSR. I'd wait a year, then get him for free, as he will be out of contract.

1

18 Aug 2026 07:36:30
Get him now and that takes a lot of pressure off young Barry. Wait another year and he will get better offers from others as a free agent.
